I called Active Air Specialists yesterday afternoon and they had a technician out the next morning by 9:00 am. Fantastic. Tommy, their technician texted me about 40 minutes prior to his arrival to let me know he was on his way. Arrived on-time and with a professional and polite attire and demeanor. I explained my problems - a thermostat not getting power which in turn shut down the system. Within 30-40 minutes he inspected the unit in the attic, tested electrical lines and found the problem - which would not have been readily apparent. He had the necessary parts with him, assisted with setting up a new learning thermostat and tested everything to make sure it was operating properly. This is exemplary service and there are not enough keys on my computer keyboard to say all the good and earned things I could say about Active Air Specialists and Tommy. Great!! read more

I highly recommend Active Air Specialists. They came to my home to replace an extremely old HVAC system. They were extremely professional, explained what they were doing during the entire project. Installation team was great and they took the time to make sure it was installed correctly. They even installed my new smart thermostat. I am an extremely happy customer. I will be reaching out to Active Air Specialists for future system maintenance. Thank you Jeremy and your entire team!! read more

Great service today on my ac unit . Jeremy came out and got it up and running in no time. Very old unit and did a great job !

I did some extensive shopping around to get quotes from different HVAC system installers and comparing the cost and included services/hardware. Jeremy gave us the best priced quote with the best hardware quality and most services included. He was extremely communicative during our quote collection process and showed initiative of really wanting to work with us. This attitude and care continued through our install and after as Jeremy made sure to check in with us regularly to ensure our satisfaction with the quality of workmanship and hardware technology. When he came out to give us the quote he provided detailed and knowledgeable answers to all my deep questions about the California refrigerant switch and more. Our install days were schedule about 1 week out. On the day of install the 8 man crew including Jeremy came out and got right to work! They tag teamed the entire first day of install and on the second day 2 guys came to finish the job. They stayed late to make sure they got out AC working before the heat wave coming and after having gotten through the heat wave with our AC I can say I'm incredibly grateful they were determined to get it working for us. They then came back the following weekend to make final touch ups and adjust the airflow how we wanted it. And I don't want to forget to mention that we are based 2 hrs+ from the company home base so they made a trek out to us. The crew did a fantastic job and Jeremy really works with his customers to give us the best experience possible. He is here to help! It's nice to know we have such a responsive and caring team there to support any of our HVAC needs. read more

Amazing service. This is the second time using these guys for my unit. They placed the unit two years ago. I called them yesterday(dogs chewed up some wires) and they came out the same day, had my house cooled off in no time. Would recommend any day. read more

First they told me it would be $150. I told them we needed Freon and was very specific about that, but the man that came didn't even have Freon with him and did nothing and took $200 from me and was at my home less than 5 minutes. There wasn't even anything wrong with our air conditioner. I can't believe they took so much money from me read more

The furnace at my son's Frazier Park home was not functioning properly. I called Jeremy at Active Air for an appointment. He analyzed the problem quickly. The furnace had not been serviced for many years. The coil in the furnace was clogged and gas valve required replacement. The entire unit needed cleaning and reassembly. I had also asked for an estimate to replace the 2 ton AC compressor which was not repairable and received a fair estimate for the work. The job was scheduled for just a few days from the initial call. The employees showed up on time, worked hard, did good work, were respectful and left the work area clean. All work was completed in the same day scheduled within 5 hours. I would highly recommend Active Air to others needing HVAC services. Robert McCann Castaic read more

We had an issue this week with our air conditioning system. It was not reaching proper cooling. We contacted Jeremy with active air on Saturday (100° day). He said he would send his team out on Monday. Jeremy called on Sunday and came out that same day. He was able to make repairs and said he would still send his crew out on Monday. As promised Active Air was out Monday morning to verify units were working properly and did a complete maintenance check to make sure nothing else needed attention. Can't say enough about this company except, Great customer service, clean, respectable crew, and very informative as to the problem. We are very happy with the results and recommend active air specialists for all your heating and air conditioning. read more

Great and quick friendly service! Chris and tommy we're awesome and found the problem and fixed it quick! Would highly recommend.

I needed air conditioning added to my home in Pine Mountain Club, CA. My dear friends recommended Jeremy at Active Air. I contacted Jeremy and he came out on the day that worked for both of us witthin a few days. Jeremy assessed the situation at my home and found out that we could add AC next to my heating system. Four days later Jeremy sent out his crew of five great guys. They showed up on time ready to get the job done. Everyone of the guys knew their job...it was like a fine oiled machine. To say they were all very professional is an understatement! Jeremy runs a great business with great and knowledgeable crew that gets the job done! You will be extremely happy if you choose Active Air for your home or business needs! I am 100% happy with my new air conditioning system. read more

Charlie and team came out and quickly resolved the problem. They were super fast, knowledgeable and professional, really honest and nice. They wore masks and just needed to spend brief amounts of time inside, just for those worried about CV. I personally am not, just thought that info may be helpful. My central air works better then it ever has! They worked their magic in about 30 minutes. I highly recommend them! read more

I called Jeremy at 8 in the morning and promised to be at the house sometime during the day, and called to let us know he was on his way and would be at the house shortly, and this was in the middle of the afternoon and it was quite warm. He arrived and had diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes and offered his solutions and recommendations and we went with his recommendations and he had the parts and had the AC running and cooling within 30 minutes. The house cooled down very fast. And the topper is, he called us a couple of hours later to make sure everything was cool! Great company! Reliable and clean! We were without AC less than 24 hours! read more

A guy came by and looked at the system and said, "the coil is probably rusted and leaking Freon. So, you have to replace the system. Then wanted to charge $150 for his time, he was here less than 10 minutes and refused to confirm anything. Don't fall for his bait and switch. A real company come out. The coil was completely fine. There was a small leak in one of the lines. They fixed it. Also, don't let him lie to you... they have replacement Freon for the R22. They put in the replacement Freon. We are sitting in an ice cold house right now... his 20 years isn't worth anything because he was too lazy to inspect the problem just pitched an $8000 replacement. Also, they give free estimates! But I guess they charge $150 service fee for a free estimate? I am also glad I didn't pay the $150 for him to "think" the coil was bad when another company showed me the coil was good for free!! He wanted to be paid $150 to walk up to the system, say, "it's old." Would you pay a mechanic $150 to say "something needs to be done to the engine" Also, I never cried and I did pay him. He returned on his own to return the money. Which is when he saw a real company fixing the problem! Seriously, he didn't do a single thing!! And look at how he treats potential customers! Wait until you disagree with him!! He will probably blast you as well! We do have a very nice garden and we are renovating 2 closets, a bedroom and the kitchen, so, yes, things are stacked everywhere. That's how renovations go. Glad he likes to judge potential customers!!! He clearly is very upset, he continually txted us while the other company was here. And another point of fact, the other company came twice today with $0 charge! It is a sad fact today, that people want to be paid to do nothing. I could have googled problems with my AC unit, and it would have said, the coil might be bad. I can get that for free. I THOUGHT I was calling a professional to do a job. Sadly I was wrong. read more

Jeremy was able to work with me on getting a condenser cleaning service and system inspection on short notice. Edgar called before his arrival and was really helpful, knowledgeable and thorough. He completed the test, inspection and cleaning in a short amount of time, but didn't rush through it. I will likely replace my aging HVAC system with these guys when that time comes. The service and communication you get for the price are beyond a great value! read more

Jeremy's staff installed a new HVAC system in my home about 2 years ago. I am currently selling my home and going through escrow. When I had my inspection, the inspector found the temperature was off slightly. I reached out to Jeremy and his guys came and did the calibrations the next day. I really appreciate not being charged for the house call, and I highly recommend Active Air to anyone needing heating and cooling systems. read more

Jeremy and his crew helped us out when our old AC unit failed. They did excellent work for a reasonable price. Very kind and courteous with a job well done. We needed the air adjusted after the new unit was installed, and they returned to do that for us. Each room is so much more comfortable now. Highly recommend. Thank you Active Air! read more

We had our business's AC unit go out in the heat of summer, and Jeremy was the only person that would be able to get right away and let us know what the issue was. We had to speak to building management and schedule them to come in to allow Jeremy access to the roof the next day and he was able to meet them with no problem and got it done very fast for very cheap. We'll absolutely be using Active Air from here on out. Thanks again, Jeremy! read more

Avoid run-around & serious let down by calling Active-Air FIRST !!! I'm bursting with joy and feeling sooooo grateful to Jeremy, Tommy, Chris and Edgar! What an incredible TEAM!!!! I was 2 days away from renting my house out to a new renter and exhausted (& broke) and suddenly my 20 year old evaporative cooler started pouring water through the bedroom ceiling!!! Jeremy flew in like a knight and absorbed my stress. Other companies were really giving me such a run around (just terrible communicators that left me hanging, promises but no action!) From start to finish Jeremy was MOVING MOUNTAINS to address my urgent needs!! He was quickly and consistently available, EXCELLENT at communicating, CARING, and the best price!!!! They hooked me up with a new 5 ton Rheem with matching furnace and FAST!! I was already broke from the renovation and he secured financing in 5 minutes!! I had complicated electrical needs and his electrician was walking my house within the hour!!! SO IMPRESSED!! No headaches! No tricks!! I actually had fun even though I was freaking out he ALWAYS treated me like a sister!!! 10 STARS!!!! LOVE THIS COMPANY & JEREMY!! Heart of GOLD. My problems are handled :-) THANK YOU SO MUCH read more

Jeremy was very up front with hours of availability and price. He answered questions for me before he came. He communicated well leading up to his arrival. He showed up when he said he would. It was a pleasure dealing with this company. Jeremy outlined to the 'T' what needed to be done insuring with a checklist for his crew that promises made were promises kept. Our air conditioner went out in the middle of 100+ heat. Jeremy came out at 3:00 pm to find out what was wrong. The motor and a fan blade were shot. Jeremy diagnosed the problem and drove to Palm Desert to get the parts and returned that evening. He fixed our air conditioner the SAME DAY! He worked well into the evening to make sure my poor wife didn't have to spend another day without air! Many, many thanks for a job well done and having the compassion to see the job through that same day. read more

Our roof mounted HVAC unit quit working after a power brown out. I called our normally wonderful home warranty company, but after 3 calls they were still having issues with their servers, and gave me authorization to find my own service provider. Now it's well after noon on a Saturday, it's over 90° inside my home, and my elderly parents are home with their big furry dog. After calling no less than 12 HVAC companies these guys not only answered, but showed up at the end of a very long day of fixing everyone's problems during a heatwave. Great attitude, great work, and great idea to add a surge protector to keep the same issue from happening again. read more

Jeremy came out 2/27/19 & today is 3/15/19. Nice guy/knowledgable but zero follow up or follow through. No promised email, call, text or Yelp communication so I am going elsewhere. They apparently do not want to sell or install ductless systems. All I got was criticism for for previous work done and "we are better than that." I said I was getting a second opinion, which I did, due to the quote being 7,950 for a Rheem/Thermal Zone or Goodman. Cost of $85 for service call could be applied to repair. "We can meet any quote but you will not get the warranty we provide (10 years parts/4 years labor). This unit would not work for us because our ducting is not sufficient. read more

Our Air Condition/heater was failing in the latest heat wave. I called Active Air and talked to Jeremy.Jeremy came out to our house as soon as he could and made an assesment of our HVAC system and gave us all the options ahead of us. They answered all our questions and kept us up to date on their progression through out the day. Our HVAC was not in an easy accessible location but they completed the job without complaints. Our AC went out in the early morning on Saturday. Active Air responded at 5am with a competitive quote and availability for that day. When I think of a great customer service and install experience, I find it hard not to think of Jeremy, Charlie and their team at Active!! I usually am very cautious and skeptical of contractors I have not personally worked with, but from the start, Jeremy took my situation (LA Heat Wave) with great urgency - even agreeing to check out my situation the next day. Upon meeting Jeremy, I quickly realized that he seemed very friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly, cared about the dire circumstance I faced without a working AC. Despite a slight delay in receiving the replacement, the install was actually performed within the exact window he advised. On the day of the install, I met with Charlie who answered all of my questions and concerns, and provided clear explanations of the install process, equipment, wiring, approximate timing and set up etc. Even though I hoped for a faster install (only because I was burning up), I knew the time I took off of work was well worth the wait; especially knowing they were handling multiple urgent projects on the same day. This experience has been exceptional. I look forward to utilizing Charlie's expertise and suggestions for taking good care of my new unit. I definitely feel like I made the right decision in allowing this company and service to handle such a important, and costly fix!!! Thanks again Jeremy, Charlie and your entire team of hard workers for your exceptional customer service! read more

Nothing but GOOD things to say about Charlie! He came out first thing in the morning, being sure to call ahead of time to let us know his ETA. Arriving right on time, Charlie was professional, courteous, and forward. He let me and my wife know exactly what the potential issues could be when it came to fixing our swamp cooler. No misguidance or BS here! Charlie fixed our unit and was pleasant to deal with the entire time. I highly recommend their services. Price was reasonable too! Thumbs up to the guys at Active Air. Thanks again for your professionalism, Charlie! read more

This review is way over due! I found Jeramy on yelp (of course) because my furnace wasn't warming up my townhouse during last year's cold spell. He arrived on time for the estimate and had to crawl up in the attic to take a look. He was completely honest about the job. He told me the pros and cons of both options....to partially fix it or replace the whole thing. Not once did I feel like he was trying to sell me on anything. He was professional and answered all my questions regarding both options. In the end I decided to get a new unit. He came with Charlie and they worked very clean and efficient. I would recommend Jeremy to anyone in a heartbeat. You guys are awesome! read more

Active Air came thru for me again. They installed a new Central Air system for me in July 2020. I was very satisfied with their work and how they back up their work. Today they came out after I informed them my heater wasn't putting out hot air and my gas bill skyrocketed about $300 dollars for the month. Jeremy sent out the same two guys who put in my system, Charlie, and Tom. As before they were very professional got my system back up and working. Some bug found its way into a/c circuitry and cause a short which caused it to continuously run which caused ice to form. Anyway, they did good work and I recommend them to anyone who's looking for service or repair. read more

Like others, Active Air was sent to us by our home warranty company. And just like a vehicle that knocks, our system would work intermittently - on again & off again. Unfortunately for us, the first two times Active Air came by, our system was working perfectly and their hands were tied as, per their contract, there was nothing they could do. I understood their position but I was not happy when for four nights in a row, the AC failed to work. Third time's a charm as the next time Active Air came through, they were able to diagnose our system and repair several components resulting in an estimated $2,000+ in savings. And now, the system works perfectly. I too have had numerous conversations with these guys, both over the phone and at our house. There are very courteous and listened to our concerns. They are very professional and gave us great advice and tips on how to keep our system running efficiently. Bottom line, they fixed our AC system and I am now figuratively and physically able to sleep at night. P.S. I only paid a one time fee of $65 to our home warranty company throughout this entire ordeal. read more
