We tried out activate to celebrate a friend's birthday on a rainy day and we're very impressed with the concept! It would be a fun activity for any age group, male or female. There were lots of kids, but you could also go as a date night. Each activity can accommodate 2-5 people. For an hour, it's a decent price and pretty comparable to any other activity. During non-peak times it is cheaper! I'd love to take other friends here to get to experience the in-person, video game experience! read more

Had a blast trying this place out. 2 adults in their 40s with a 7 year old. Enjoyable for all ages. There are several different rooms and each room offers different games. You can read about each game and select which one you want at the door kiosk. Scan your wristband and youre in! Just move to rach room as you please. Minimal wait times if at all. It was fun to try all the different games. There are so many we didnt even do them all. Each game is 1 to 3 mins so if you don't like it you just move on. Definitely worth trying! read more

There's plenty of games to choose from It is kinda hard to explain but check out their social media and website You basically go in different rooms and there's different themes like Grid, Laser, Hoops, Pipes and within those games there's at least 5 different games with either cooperative or competitive mode They teach you on the little kiosk how to play them, we just did 1 hour and it felt like a workout! Activate was such a fun date night! Would also be prefect for friends, families, birthday parties, team bonding etc. There are 12 rooms to choose from, each one having multiple game modes in each. The games are color coded between cooperative (everyone works together) or competitive (everyone vs everyone). Only your group is in each room, so you're not playing with random people. Once inside, you have the option to continue working through levels, unless another group has checked into that room, making sure everyone gets a chance and wait times for rooms aren't long. Everything is digital and done through a wristband (like a magic band at Disney). Definitely will be coming here again! read more

What a blast Activate Games is! We had a party of 6 adults and I swear we were like kids running around to each game room! You will get a wristband that connects to your profile to collect your points and to open up each game room. There are so many rooms to choose from! I loved the Grid and Scan rooms the most. There were multiple times we were out of breath to the point that we started a workout on our watches. That being said, we're both pretty competitive in nature. Extremely disappointed with how this was handled. We brought a group of five here in May because we were told that if we came back, all five of us would receive 50% off our next visit. When we returned with only 2 boys, we were told that corporate would only allow 50% off for one person. What frustrates me most isn't the discount--it's that we made plans and came back based on what we were told by their employees, only to be told, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do." If customers are given incorrect information, the business should honor what was promised rather than expect the customer to accept the mistake. This was/is a great way to spend time with family and friends while being active. We had a group of about 10ish so I'm not sure of the limits, but most games we played allowed up to 5 people at a time max and there was one that we needed at least 3. Dress comfortably and be prepared to possibly work up a lil sweat(especially if you're competitive or forced into competition lol) There's a variety of different types of games in different rooms and other members of your party can watch thru the door windows. There is a sort of viewing area where the older members of our party sat to watch but its a little difficult to really tell who's who on the videos as the rooms are dark and monitors are a little small but they were able to kinda see us at some points. Would be great if there were a few more monitors on the wall. This is a great way to spend time away from electronics and have fun, for kids and adults. The youngest in our party that actually participated was 9 but for some games you could hold a smaller child/toddler. Staff were helpful and nice and recommended some games to check out. We only did an hour but would've like maybe another...or at least 30 minutes more.There are also lockers in the lobby to store personal items. Bathrooms we clean but unfortunately there was not a changing station. Hope to make it back again soon. read more

Good for kids and adults. There were a lot of different games that all work. The games were much higher tech than I expected. Did not have much trouble getting into games and rewards are really nice, for example you can buy extra time with points earned from games. I expected to be in one room the whole time but you actually get to go around and pick games with just your group if you chose. The leaderboards make it even more competitive and fun. Loud, flashing lights everywhere. So dark it's hard to see anything except all the flashing lights. So loud can barely hear your friends. Games are boring. Some of them didn't appear to work correctly. Most of the competitive ones were balanced poorly. Games were just badly designed overall. Staff badgered me when I tried to leave early.
