I just bought my car Thursday, wasn't able to get my residence sticker because the office was closed Friday. Friday night (without thinking) I parked in a regular spot. Woke up Saturday and my car was towed. Rude on the phone when I told them that I have proof I live here. The young kid in the office was also rude. I could understand if they charged me just a fee, but instead they charged me the full $321 even though I am a resident of my apartments. I doubt that anything will come of this, but I am still filing a complaint. Towing places like this are horrible. They don't care. Gotta give them props for being able to rip people's off. read more

You have to give at least 1 star to these folks totally the worst i've encountered in my 70+ years of driving and a business man in the area. So the best I can do is send them letters of there theft of the vehicle and send the same to enforcement@tdlr.texas.gov - cstowing@tdlr.texas.gov - and at small claims court here in the area. They come to this apt complex late at night and just go to towing who they believe to be parked in the wrong spots. They need to look at their signs on what they say and where they are placed, and the area where they tow from was told to me years ago was visitor and that their is NOT ONE SIGN on his whole stretch. My car was towed from Park Apartments. I have a handicap sticker but it was not seen by the tow truck guy. It was in the front seat partly covered by a plastic bag. I recommended some point that would help her with her customer service and she said she could not do anything about it. I never once got an apology for anything. Any civilian would be super peeved off. I'm sure they have to watch their backs all the time for towing people but this was just poor customer service. Waiting for Karma to get these a-holes. We missed the guest parking by one spot at the Encore apartment complex. No one called it in; apparently this guy makes nightly rounds and tows away at his own discretion. That's not to say the apartment complex isn't also partly to blame with their horrible choice of business partners. I attached pics so you can see how easy it is to make the mistake especially at night, thinking you are parking in a Guest spot when in actuality, you are in a parking spot that is reserved for tenants. . They charged us $288 to get our car back. $250 tow fee and the rest was a bunch of little fees they added up, but still insanely ridiculous for not committing any crime. We weren't in a fire lane or double parked or blocking anyone in. I just hope karma gets these assholes. My 80,000 loner truck was towed at an Apartment Complex I live and pay rent because I was not able to get a sticker at 3 AM when my other vehicle broke down. Meanwhile, another vehicle that had temporary paper plates was illegally parked in a handicapped space and was not towed. When I called to ask about how much it would cost to get my vehicle, they quoted me $350, more than amount allowed by Texas Law. This company towed my car from a disability spot even though I had a permanent disability placard hanging in the spot that my complex had designated for me. My placard had expired but blue placards are representative of permanent disabilities. They only care about money - no forgiveness on situation or obvious disability. The lady never told me about a $50.00 "notification fee" they charge if you leave your car overnight (if it's towed by say, police). It does not cost $50 to send 2 letters, and that's not relevant because they never told me about this fee. They only said $193 and $21 per day plus tax. I'll post the recording of the phone call online soon a I find a way to host it. They basically hold your car hostage - if you dont have the $50 fee, they charge the $20 per day and eventually get your car. Going to review my legal options here since I have evidence they never told me about this fee - maybe it's time to drag these cheats into small claims court. read more

This is 2 times I've have my family car towed from my apt and they manage to puncture a hole in oil pan.. Their prices are too high anyway to take your car out and on top you have to send your car to get fixed. So it cost more. The guys at action towing need to get retrained on towing procedures. Towed our car, damaged the front end, argued they didn't, refused to provide liability information for insurance company to investigate - rather insurance company will have to force them to provide it, VERY unprofessional staff - the 4 women and men in the office behind plexi glass cannot control their emotions or mouths - they chose this profession, they need to learn to deal with people in a professional manner. Companies shouldn't contract with this towing company -- it's a terrible reflection on them. They've also been known to damage other cars in the apartment complex, as per the apt manager who says they are terminating their contract with them. Saw one of these "Action" tow trucks recklessly flying down the shoulder on Hwy 3 the other day and recalled the absolutely awful interaction with them that I wrote about on Yahoo reviews a couple years ago. Decided to check on that and review and noticed they apparently didn't have the time to call me back, but three months later evidently responded to my complaint by calling me a "crybaby,". I was changing my oil and went inside to take a 5 minute phone call. I came back out to find my truck gone with all of my used oil all over the driveway. I immediately called the police, obviously thinking my truck was stolen. When the officer arrived, one of our neighbors came out to see what was going on. He suggested we call the towing company that is contracted out by our HOA because the same thing happened to him days earlier while he was washing his truck. Turned out the towing company did indeed close my hood and towed my vehicle to an impound lot. After paying $200 to get my truck out, I talked to a retired elderly couple a few doors down that said they see these tow trucks sitting in our neighborhood throughout the day smoking in their words "those funny cigarettes" and waiting for the opportunity to vulcher cars. The impound lot gave me the address of the person who supposedly called to complain about my truck, which is an address that doesn't even exist! The next day I called Action's office and they agreed they shouldn't have taken it and they would call me back. It's been a month now and I'm still getting the run-around every time I call. Worst experience of my life. I literally downloaded this app just to leave this review. Terrible human beings. They towed my car from my apartment complex while it had a resident sticker and when I called to get information over the phone the lady laughed and was of no help. THEY WILL LITERALLY STEAL YOUR CAR. And there is no way you can get it back without paying them almost 300$ even if you have a sticker and are parked in the right spot. I am currently trying to get a refund but really don't see that happening. Whoever the black haired lady that works here is, I hope you grow up and start acting like a decent person. When I asked if I could come to the building and show them that I had a sticker she told me that if I came up there she would call the police. First of all, I don't want to be unfair in my review by putting all the blame on them. Had I known not to double park in the back of an apartment complex that I live in, I wouldn't have gotten towed. So what I found out from various sources, in addition to my online research is that late at night, tow companies troll apartment complexes looking for cars that are double parked so that they can make money off of you paying their fee to obtain your car. Yes I was double parked near one of their signs, therefore I deserved to be towed. I learned a valuable lesson about reading and paying attention to signs. Now my issue is this; when we called ( the leasing office and myself), Action Towing Inc quoted the price at $240 and some change. Of course, they didn't know that I was in the room. So when I called to get directions and ask the price, it had changed. Now it's $283 and change. I just kept quiet and prayed. I arrived, payed, and when I went to open my car, the door was unlocked and it shouldn't have been. Why would they need to unlock my door? I was double parked. My car wasn't picked up because I was being charged with murder. And to add insult to injury, they stole my black Texas Children's Hospital work cardigan that was bought by one of the doctors for giving fantastic customer service. I loved that cardigan sweater. I know that everyone is wondering how come I didn't say anything about the price change or the theft. The reason that I let it go is because I felt bad for them because you have to either live an unhappy life, be extremely greedy, desperate for money, or be totally disconnected from your soul in order to live that type of existence and still be at peace with yourself. And with that being said, I decided to extend mercy instead of wrath. Wrath wouldn't have done anything except exasperate the situation. The reason I didn't say anything about the sweater is because when I had noticed, I doubted myself because it's a Texas Children's Hospital cardigan. What kind of person would do that. See I come from a time where business cared about their reputation. Back in the old days people cared about their dignity or the dignity of the company that they are representing. I was more stunned than anything. I left their with my car, but I am deeply saddened and hurt because I feel violated. Anyone who has had their car broken into or have come home to see that you have been burglarized, understand what I mean when I use the word violated. I am a Christian, so I have to extend grace, forgiveness and mercy. I don't like doing reviews. To tell you the truth, I hate to be asked to do a review, however, if I had to go through this experience in order to help someone else to correctly park between the lines or else experience undeserved violation from a towing company, it's worth it. My friend's car got towed from my apartment complex and this lady "Shawna" was extremely rude. She yelled at me numerous times, was not patient with me in explaining why the car got towed but after going back and forth with her it was because of my friend parking on the grass and it seems that it was a new contract the tow company had with the apartment complex in which I was unaware about. It took for me to curse her out and yell at her to get answers out of her. Honestly, the real issue was with the complex but instead of explaining this to me Shawna repeatedly yelled and hung up in my face. When we went to pick up my car they took longer than 10 minutes to open the gate. There was also a wrecker there with no teeth trying to but in saying he heard the entire phone conversation but did not provide any answers to any questions I was asking "Shawna".
