Trophies? Great work. Embroidery? I'd go elsewhere…read more I had Mister T's make some trophies for the recreational soccer team I coached a few years back, and they did a good job and the price was reasonable. So I went back to have 2 baseball hats made for baseball season, since I'd be coaching a Little League team for La Conner again. I asked if they had the traditional 'Block' Lettering Logo for LC, like you see everywhere - San Diego Padres, SF Giants, LA Dodgers, etc. They didn't, but "they could set that up", they assured me. I was clear I wanted a block L bisecting a block C, and I even drew a picture just to be clear. I paid more than $40 for 2 hats (I realized there would be an embroidery set up fee), but the hats I received were bad. The C wasn't really a block letter, and the lower part of the L was lower than it should have been. We had a game the next day, so I paid and left with the hats. I never wore the hat after those l 14 or 16 baseball games. (I gave 1 to our Asst Coach.) But I was never happy about those hats. I expected more. Then my wife found it in the garage the other day. Ugh. I can't stand this hat. So, for trophies, I think Mister T's does a great job. And if they already have an embroidery pattern they can show you that they've used dozens of times before, that's probably OK as well. But I can't recommend any custom embroidery from them.

Being a long time Bellevue resident, I am no stranger to what I will just call, "The Boutique"…read more Small, quaint shops that overcharge for items you could reasonably find elsewhere. When I walked passed this place, it caught my attention, I saw a couple things in the window that caught my eye and I was curious about costs. I was greeted by 3 women, who couldn't not have been nicer. One even asked what brought me in and when I saw the curb appeal caught my attention, I got the impression my feedback wasn't well taken. That said, I say plenty I could have considered gift worthy, but the pricing was like the Disneyland Gift Shop. Holiday items were 70% off. Truth be told, it lowered the items to a price that was far closer to reasonable and as a former retail buyer, I can tell you, if you can afford to sell anything for 70% off you are charging too much for other items. There is a reason Nordstroms can have massive sales 3 times a year where the entire stock is discounted and that is the same reason, they are now closing locations and losing business to online retailers who sell for a fair price daily. This is also Marysville, so why am I being asked to pay. Medina pricing? Listen the store is quaint, you will certainly see something that interests you, but the sticker shock here is real and reminds me of my trip to San Francisco last year where a candy store was charging $25 a pound for the same candy Winco sells for $4 a pound, or even less in bulk from Amazon. God bless them, I never want to see anyone go out of business, but affordable is not a word I would use to describe this place.

My wife purchased me a new rod and reel as a gift from Johns Sporting Goods 5 days prior to them having a discounted price on the reel purchased. I'm going on a 3 day fishing trip so I planned on dropping in and buying gear for the trip and see if they would be able to price match their special and just get a credit to spend there. The rep immediately and in a very rude way said "nope not doing it not a chance". Now as a new customer and looking to spend way more then the difference and going forward you would think they have a better way to go about things. So while their selection is pretty good (only reason for 2 stars) the customer service is horrible and they have not only lost a customer, but I will be telling others in the fishing community about my experience and what to expect when shopping with John's Sporting Goods.
