But, want to say this is a terrific business for safe, reliable and on-time transport to and from the vet or airport. For my large, playful Shepherd Husky dog Uber is not a good option. Therefor we turn to Claudio and I am grateful to have the stress level lowered a few notches b/c of him; no one likes going to the doc dog or human alike. I recommend booking as far in advance as possible, and do not compare fares to Uber b/c you are getting specialized service w/a smile that can't be beat.

We needed to get our very large dog from the Washington DC to the Norfolk Military Air Base with about 2 days to plan ahead due to a mix up with the military and the transportation for a PCS to Bahrain. The flight was very tight in terms of the need to get the dog to the air base for his international flight, and Jerry really came through for us. Other companies quoted much higher rates or decided that the time frame was too tight and they were not willing to help. Our dog was picked up at the airport and Jerry drove him the entire way. The cost was very reasonable considering how important this transport was to us. The process was very simple and easy and Jerry made sure to request from us all of the necessary documents in order to pick up the dog from the airport. Highly recommended for a pet transport in the DC/Virginia area.

Angie was amazing from the first time that we spoke to the post-trip email that she sent, confirming that we were all safely reunited. Given that our dog is very much our baby and that I deal with anxiety disorder, we had a ton of questions, and Angie always had the answers and clear instructions. She made things immeasurably easier for us, our vet, and our Westie, and her colleagues made sure that everything was smooth and easy at both Dulles and Heathrow. During pick-up and check-in, we saw people who were traveling without agents, and it was obvious that their travel was more challenging. While we always knew that using Capital Pet Movers was a good choice, the stark contrast between how prepared their team (and, as a result, we) were compared to the other families traveling at the same time was additional confirmation that the decision to work with them was one of the best we made. Finally, it's important to note how kind and thoughtful every member of their team was throughout the process. No question was too small or silly, and they were focused entirely on making sure that our Westie was safe and happy and that we were confident about everything that was happening. Their expertise and kindness made a very stressful situation immeasurably easier, and we recommend them whole heartedly. We're already talking to them about managing Nigel's return trip to the States!

A call to Jds Canine Cruiser, and Viktor had me taken care of the next day, which was brought my wife and I peace of mind. Their prices are slightly lower (by a dollar or 2) than the other dog walkers I called, and they were far more flexible. I met Viktor in person for the initial meet and greet, and was very professional and handled my dog well. Without having to ask, Viktor watched how I dealt with my dogs excitement, and mimicked me, when I handed my dog over. I felt very confident in leaving my dog to their care while I was out of town. He is very shy and isn't very friendly towards new people so it's nerve racking to find a place where you feel he will be cared for properly and loved in all of his grouchy Chihuahua glory! Once you get through that part he is a love bug. We went to the local PetsMart and had a bad experience just talking to the people there and knew he couldn't go there. That's when I looked on Yelp and found this place! It had great reviews and I saw that they had experience with Chihuahuas! It's nice to know my dog would be staying in a home(with lots of space and a big back yard) with experienced people who loved animals! So much better then a cage! I was very nervous when I dropped him off....ok I cried! Do you think he's spoiled???!!! Beth helped me feel so much better because she took the time to send me photos, tell me how he was doing, and talk with me while he was staying with her. After the first photo I immediately felt at ease and thankful we made the decision to leave our dog here. I really appreciate that Beth takes the time to do this and it really shows that she cares about animals and her job. I feel comforted to know that my dog has a safe place to go the next time his "parents" are away!
