Cash America 1051 N. I 35 Round Rock store #44 I have been a customer of this pawn store ever since it open after taking over the building once was a Cowboy boot store and western wear. I shopped here because of Matt and he was let go. I should have taken that this place is changing. It has changed this in so many words of how it is now. This store #44 I will not be doing my business with any longer. They don't care about my life's collectables. I want you to know the district manager Raul meet me and he came through for me. Then the manager of the store tries to take credit for what he did for me. I got back my pride a joy of collectors back. In short, they took it out of original box and placed it an old soft case of someone else's. I said," wait a minute it was in original box". She went back again. Came back with original box this is just a place that cares not for your life possessions. I speak of buying here not pawning. I hope they change the ways they treat their customers. I have changed to better stores. I just wanted to share this of reason to hopes of saving someone else of losing their life's possessions for greed. Don't even consider buying any kind of gun here. I bought a pistol and was assured by the manager it was a good piece. First time at the range it did not operate properly. Took it to a gunsmith who said it was a magazine issue, so I bought 2 new magazines. Next visit to the range, no different so I went to discuss the problem with the manager at the pawn shop. I was told if I could get signed papers from the gunsmith or range they would refund my money. Felt like they were saying I was a liar. As you can guess neither the range or the gunsmith wanted to put themselves in that situation so I was forced to accept 1/2 what I paid. Up until today I was a good customer and have purchased several other firearms, pistols, rifles, and numerous other items. I will never set foot in that shop again after being treated with such contempt and disrespect. read more

The customer service is always really good. Upbeat attitudes and respectful. They have a decent inventory as well if you are looking for tools, jewelry and guns. If you are a good customer and have had loans with them before and actually repaid your loans, they may offer you a better deal on the next trip if you have to make one. It is already degrading enough when you have to sell your personal items because you are in financial need. Instead of actually trying to help you they pretty much insinuate that what you are bringing in is stolen, then try to rip you off by offering you less than 10% of what the item was worth. So when I tried to leave my car wouldn't start (hence why I needed money right away) and they kept bugging about how I needed to get it off the property. Like seriously?! It wasn't the first time that I've tried to sell some things there and have gotten the very same rude treatment. Especially from the Hispanic lady who won't even look up the price of an item before she spits out she will only give you 5 or 10 bucks for something like a near new Coach purse or $150 for a generator that was brand new and was worth $700. If it weren't for "people like me" who need instant cash in tough times you wouldn't have a job. You and your staff might want to come back to reality and understand we are not beneath you. Kindness really does go a long way. Save your judgement for when you look in the mirror. The money made from things I have already sold there helped towards that paycheck you get and now your store has definitely lost a pretty good customer because the staff simply lacks customer service skills. I took a formidable amount of old coins in for a pawn loan i.e. 41 1964 JFK silver half dollar, 4 proof commemorative sets three Kennedy 1964 proof, one Eisenhower 1971. 23 silver peace dollars to include assorted dates from 1921 to 1934, Donald Trump Commemorative 3 proof sets including Mercury head dimes, liberty nickels, Indian head pennies etc. I was personally assured by Jahnell Reyna employee #5100874 or emp# 5101813 or #38181 or #174216 funny it appears she has multiple employee numbers as a majority of my transactions were always with Jahnell Reyna yet some how the employee numbers seem to randomly change with each transaction. Anyway I was assured by Jahnell Reyna upon completion of the pawn loan that the pledged goods would be kept in the safe and that no one would bother them and even if they came out for any reason that she would notify me immediately in order to avoid them being sold to the general public as these particular coins were a formidable fraction of a larger collection and not easily obtained in the numismatic society. At one point I trusted these people especially Jahnell Reyna who's a former colleague from National Pawn and Jewelry @ 2121 west Palmer ln Austin, TX 78728. Ask me if I trust any of them now. There were several incidents where I felt like I'd been taken advantage of and for lack of better words totally ripped off and sold nothing more than garbage or something that in retrospect I feel they knew wouldn't work or was possibly fake but they sold it to me anyway. When I say they I am making reference to Jahnell Reyna and Richard Marsupial. I didn't think much about it at first as I believe people have no reason to be deceptive in their business practices especially when they are trying to hold others to some set of moral standards when they have no conscious nor moral compass of their own. If they did I wouldn't be here in this portal feeling the way I'm feeling about having spent the thousands of dollars that I spent with these people only to turn around in a time of need i.e. getting a pawn loan on items purchased from the two of them directly not to mention having been directly impacted by COVID-19 only to discover that one: I've practically been robbed by these individuals who call themselves pawnbrokers but are nothing more than cleverly disguised fast talking crooks. Two: intentionally offered the lowest amounts they could offer on items they sold me. I went in on the 12th of December 2021 to locate and salvage what was left of my coin collections as there were multiple pawns having to do with coins and jewelry and a myriad of other miscellaneous items. I began the process of retrieving my items per the guidelines printed on the pawn agreement by pointing out numerous pieces of jewelry and coins and silver that were part of the previous pawn. Richard was in the back apparently ransacking a larger portion of pawn# 11653 after he claimed he didn't touch it yet his story changed when he re-emerged from the back area where the two of them and by stating the two of them I mean Richard Marsupial and Jahnell Reyna, spend a lot of time. And I quote "Oh I was counting them and one sold." He said. I asked him if he could possibly reprint any documentation that could confirm what all was included in pawn #11653 and do you know he said there was no way to give a physical description of pledged goods that true enough had become their property to sell not possibly rummage through and pocket items pledged. I could tell right away that all of the pledged items were not there at all. Which is why I asked for a print out and I could also tell he was nervous most likely due to the fact they didn't expect me to show up unannounced with cash to salvage what was left of pledged goods. I According to the pawn ticket I could either put them back in pawn or buy the pledged goods back out right or which ever was the lower of the two. The pawn ticket clearly states that the amount to redeem pledged items or to even buy back as they were my property should've been somewhere in the amount of $905.00 the buy back amount was nearly $250.00 over that amount for a whopping $1101.00 and some change nearly $250.00 over the amount to redeem or put back in pawn per the pawn ticket. When he handed me the bag that he had written split on it was a bag filled with some of not all of the coins that belonged together in that pawn when I got them home and was able to look over the lot I wasn't the least bit surprised that a majority were coins I didn't even recognize as if they had been swapped with trashy cheap common coins. I knew as soon as I heard the former owners had sold the store to a national chain things would go down hill but this place is terrible now. All of the old staff is gone and the people that work there now have zero personality. Inventory is awful and they offer very little if you are selling or need a loan. Not only was I able to receive what I felt was a fair amount for my items, she actually introduced me to a product I have been looking for for months and I got it at a beautiful price. This place really went down hill after being sold to First Cash Pawn. They don't write loans to people in the military. Almost all the people that worked there prior to the takeover are gone. I really miss the old shop. All the weird and unique decorations are gone. A shell of its former self. I called and asked for Matt(?) a guy I had worked with prior and was informed he was let go. I wasn't even sure I called the right store because the phone greeting was a canned scripted greeting. The employee on the phone was nice enough though so I decided to go in. I was made an offer on my TV and decided to try elsewhere. I saw an item I liked and asked a different employee about it. This employee was pushy and kind of rude(Fro, I think)I asked one of the girls there where the old staff went. She seemed a little stressed and really nervous, but directed me to another store. I was a loyal customer and the ppl at action pawn ate great..BUT...the jeweler in the back (the art of gold guy) is terrible at interacting/customer service!! I felt extremely belittled by this guy.....I had stopped in for a repair on a very expensive piece of jewelery that was purchased from them and when I purchased it I was told it was a custom piece made by him......well I asked a few questions to try to prevent this issue from reoccuring again with the repair and he snapped and started chewing my head off .....like it was bad of me to ask precautionary questions! Then he proceeded to say all jewelery stores lie to customers etc but that he was the only honest one left haaa ok sure...my father was a jeweler/import/export for many yrs I myself went to gemology/jewelers school at GIA!!! I'm not one that is unaware of gems and precious metals but you wouldn't know it just looking at me.....so I pretty much already knew the answers to my questions I just wanted to get it straight from the horses mouth and of course hus answers were harsh and not 100% truthful at all even though "he's the only honest one left" ...........I'm extremely disappointed that I was such a great customer and the lack of customer service on his part is ok with them at action pawn/the art of gold......I will NOT be returning nor reffering anymore....I spent a lot of money there to be belittled and walked on .....I will take my money and business elsewhere.....heed my word consumers!
