I was looking at a peak time. I started to call further and further outside of Burlington and finally found one storage unit available with Chimney Corners Self Storage. Deborah, the woman who answered the phone, was very helpful. She said the business was new and the units were new and clean. Given the fact I knew storage units were in high demand and low supply at the time, I jumped on opportunity and put down a deposit. I also found the business website to be very helpful and educational. I had my furniture and possessions in storage with Chimney Corners for 6 months, which was a lot longer than I expected I would need when I originally called. Regardless, the storage unit I rented was large, clean and I had no problems. There were a few times I needed to call and ask questions and the phone was answered almost every time and when it wasn't Deborah called me back right away. I felt like my furniture was safe and I very much appreciated the great customer service I received. I just moved all of my stuff out and if I needed to put things in storage again, I would happily do so here. Refreshingly easy and worry-free experience. Also, given the location right off of Exit 17, it was not far from Burlington - about 20 minutes - so it didn't feel that far at all.

This was an out-of-state delivery (to Connecticut). We were impressed by the professionalism at every step of the way. We didn't want to be surprised by "unexpected" additional costs when our furniture was delivered. Heidi's quote was higher than competitors but seemed much more reasonable compared with past moves. In the end, the final cost was a little lower than the estimate. More than fair cost for the value of the work done. Well done, Heidi! Justin, Matt, and Brad showed up promptly on the scheduled day to pack us. Polite, responsible -- and efficient! They packed boxes and protected the furniture well. They finished early enough to start loading the truck that day and came back the following day to finish loading. They arrived earlier than expected in Connecticut the following morning and unloaded very quickly. Furniture was positioned and reassembled as we wanted and boxes were placed in the correct locations. Amazing work! Nothing was lost. Nothing was broken. Despite the careful protection, there were minor scuff marks on a couple of pieces, but nothing worth trying to repair. On time, under budget, and in good order. It doesn't get better than that. Thanks, yet again, Heidi, Justin, Bradley, and Matt. Wonderful job. And we hope Heidi got some of Angelo's Italian cookies that we sent back with you. We don't plan to move again, but if we did, we would call Morways/ProMoving for the job.

When he and his crew arrived to load, they placed things in the truck without padding and without securing them with straps. We had to go in and place padding around furniture and secure, delicate items with straps. It was a nightmare. When the truck arrived at the destination, the Two Men And A Truck company who were unloading, opened the back and said what? Did the Packers hate them? They had placed very heavy items in the wrong order and had not put nearly enough protective blankets on things in spite of our best efforts to mitigate this. We lost pieces of furniture and it was all because this head loader didn't get a paid vacation to visit his parents.

They do not meet the…read morestandards of other Two Men and a Truck locations, and they cost me over $7,000 in damaged furniture, lost equipment, and doubled shipping costs because they packed the truck so poorly. It cost them over $2,000 to load a 2-bedroom house. The team that unloaded it in Minnesota - just $400. I've used Two Men and a Truck in Philadelphia with great results, nothing broken, kind and efficient, so when I needed to move to MN, I called the Burlington location. After being quoted around $20,000 for a full-service move, the manager suggested I save money by having them load a U-Pack truck instead. With U-Pack, you pay by the foot, so efficient vertical packing is critical. I estimated 13 feet, expecting to go slightly over. U-Pack assured me that with professional movers, I should come in close to the estimate. Instead, the Burlington crew packed everything flat, with no stacking--using 26 feet, double my estimate. Compare my photos to the ones in their own advertising. It's not even close. When the U-Pack driver arrived, he told me it was the worst packing job he had ever seen and asked if I had done it myself. He warned me that with nothing secured, my furniture would likely be destroyed in transit. The Two Men and a Truck team I hired to unload in Minnesota said the exact same thing--and told me repeatedly how sorry and ashamed they were that another Two Men and a Truck franchise had done this. To make it worse, the Burlington crew refused to load my elliptical (over $3,000), claiming the ramp wasn't safe after trying to lift it with straps. I had told them upfront it was heavy. They left it on my back patio with no way for me to move it back inside, hire another mover on no notice, or get it to storage. I sold it on Facebook for $180 just to unload it. Two older guys picked it up days later and loaded it onto a trailer in minutes, no trouble at all. The U-Pack driver's warning was right. When the truck was unloaded: * Dining chairs thrown in uncovered, completely scratched * Credenza with broken legs * Bookshelf with broken legs * Dresser mirror badly scratched from poor wrapping * Multiple boxes crushed by unsecured furniture, contents broken I called Mike at the Burlington location. He refunded part of the cost because the crew had also overcharged me--but when I told him what the U-Pack driver said, he brushed it off as the driver "covering himself" and insisted that since nothing was broken when it went in the truck, any damage was the driver's fault. That logic is absurd. If I set a coffee on the dashboard and it flies into my lap on the first turn, that's not the driver's fault--that's mine for putting it there unsecured. All in: roughly $7,000 lost between extra shipping, the abandoned elliptical, and damaged furniture. I've had excellent experiences with Two Men and a Truck in Rochester, MN, and Philadelphia. This is a Burlington-specific problem with zero accountability for their errors. Shop around. Do not use this location. You'll overcharge, lose furniture, and pay double for your U-Pack truck. Photos of the truck, the damage, and the abandoned elliptical are attached.

They were extremely careful and the most polite movers my daughter, and I have ever experienced, and she's moved a lot! The truck was loaded and they finished packing on time even calling in additional help which I command James for greatly. We did the 6 Hour drive to New Jersey on Sunday and sure enough the truck showed up on time after they are 6 Hour drive. The move into her new apartment was a little difficult because the truck was about 100 yards from the elevator that was available, but they never complained once and even helped dispose of cardboard that wasn't their responsibility. My daughter and I unpacked her contents and no items were broken in a total of about 20 to 25 boxes with kitchen glassware and ceramic diplomas, etc. The best part of all was that the balance was $800 less than what was quoted because the workers finished hours earlier than expected. That was a nice thing for my daughter, considering expenses to move into a new place. I would recommend James and the Burlington moving company to anyone for a short or long distance move. Thank you again. !

I called them because every other storage company in the area was full and had no units available. The woman who answered the phone was pleasant and after I gave her a debit card for payment, she told me that I had unit #720. She let me know that I would have to come by and sign paperwork at some point, buy a lock, and that I was all set to start putting stuff in the unit whenever I wanted to. 2 weeks or so later, my fiancé and I borrowed a truck, loaded heavy furniture into it, drove the 20 or so minutes to the storage unit, and when we get there, the unit is already in use with a lock on it. I've tried to call SEVERAL TIMES and the phone rings, then goes silent. I lost out on $75 that could have been put to use for final expenses, as my mom ended up passing away shortly after this. I'm severely disappointed. I would love to get my money back but I doubt that will happen.
