More than a week later no follow up. I called to be told they did not sell that make of unit anymore and they could not get parts. I asked for a referral for someone who could complete the repair but was told to do an internet search. In short, they did half a job, left exposed wiring in a child's bedroom and did not have the decency to either call me to tell me they could not finish the job or recommend someone who could. If you are looking for customer service I suggest you look elsewhere. In reply to your comment on my review, I have no record of you ever trying to contact me after the in home visit. Not even a voicemail. My issue is with how you left the job not the function of the units up to that time.

In a panic, I googled for appliance repair companies, and I stumbled upon Michael. I called at 7pm, he answered and was able to come by the next day! I was immediately shocked and grateful that he even answered after work hours and was able to squeeze in a visit. His recommendation, based on the appliance brand we have, was to replace the micro with a new one and a better brand. We waited a few days to follow through due to Thanksgiving, but once we were able to get the new micro, Michael came the NEXT DAY to install it. He arrived promptly and was in and out within an hour - the microwave is absolutely perfect and we could not be happier with Michael and his expertise. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needs assistance with appliances!

called stark (mike) about an ice maker on my fridge that was not working. i mentioned that there…read morewas ice in the tray but it didnt flip. Mike felt with confidence that the ice maker was broken and needed to be replaced. he quoted me $375.00 for the part and labor to swap. i agreed. this was all over the phone. a survey/diagnostic test was not performed. roughly a week later he swapped the ice maker and told my wife to give it about an hour or so and to update him whether its working or not. (my wife made the mistake of paying him the balance of the money owed before confirming the ice maker worked. shame on her). the ice maker was still not working. he decided to order another ice maker which he did and swapped it out a few days later. He left and said to let him know if it works after an hour or 2. the ice maker still did not work. this was on a saturday. he said he would try to swing by on monday to see whats going on. he didnt come by monday. i sent a follow up text on wednesday. no response. i followed up again on friday and without ever coming back to perform any sort of diagnostic tests, he says i need a water inlet valve and that was going to cost me $250.00. I pushed back on the extra charges and questioned why he didnt tell me from the beginning that i might need other parts to fix it and that i would be charged for it. He ignored that question. He kept insisting that the valve was the next step and if that didnt work a control board was next. I said i needed to have a convo with him before moving forward with anything. That was on a friday roughly 3 weeks later after our initial convo. Never heard from him after that. That weekend i spent a couple hours on youtube and learned that one common reason for icemakers to fail was due to cut wires at the bottom of the fridge where the door hinge meets the fridge (shout out to bearded appliance repair). Bought $30 worth of materials from home depot and i was able to repair the wires myself and the ice maker was fixed. Mike took $375.00 of my $$$ for an icemaker i didnt need (he swears mine was cracked but his credibility is shot at this point) and was ready willing and able to take another $250.00 for a water valve i didnt need. (Those valves are available on amazon for anywhere bw $25-$90 and some of them get great reviews) If i had said yes, the ice maker still would not have worked and god only knows how much more money he wouldve tried to take from me after that until finally realizing wires were cut. Based on other reviews ive read this seems to be a pattern with him and probably done by design to make more $$$ STAY AWAY!!!

Everyone recommended the Sofa Doctor/Dr. Sofa, so I called them on a Friday and they had a team at my building on Monday morning. Giovanni and his partner were very efficient and gentle. They started by placing the sofa outside on a soft mat and then went to work (see photos). They removed the upholstery, peeled back the foam, and cut the metal. Then they brought everything upstairs, mechanically fastened the metal tubes back together, rolled the foam up and re-glued it, and zipped the upholstery back up. No stains or scratches on the upholstery, amazing. The whole episode took less than 3 hours and the sofa looks perfect. Highly recommend these guys!

Once I called, I was put off by one of their very arrogant customer service reps and had already decided that I wouldn't be using them just based on this. The person who had initially emailed me in response to my query was very polite. And then I got their estimate which was more than 3 times (!) what I was quoted from a local reputable upholsterer. This was not a vintage or antique chair and this was for ***just the labor.*** I was going to provide the upholstery fabric. I informed them that I would not be using them, given their exorbitant price. I then got a follow up email asking me whether I couldn't go ahead with using them because I was struggling to make a decision about the fabric, advising me to use AI to envision my design (thank you, but I'm a designer and I don't need AI to strip me of my creativity!) I'm fine with my decision making. I'm just not willing to pay their exorbitant prices for a basic upholstery job.
