The field is one of the larger airsoft fields in the Portland Metro Area, and as a result is able to handle many participants without feeling crowded. I've been coming here since 2012. In the last years, this field has made a concerted effort to increase the number of admins on the field, which improves the experience for participants. In addition, this field has put effort into clearing out the undergrowth so that participants can move around the field easier. Finally, they have added more pieces of cover around sparse areas of the field to make it more playable. While they did raise their monthly event pre-registration admission prices from $20 to $25 in the last year, it's still a very reasonable price to pay for a day out with your friends. I look forward to seeing continued improvements in the quality of this field as the owners cultivate their growing customer base. read more

I've been here once and the field is great. The owner is a jerk though. I called today and asked if anyone was staying after hours, and she told me, "you would be the only one here, because everyone already went home." In a very terse manner. I responded, "okay, thank you." no response. I waited thirty seconds for her to respond, and the line stayed quiet. "Goodbye," I said again, and again no response. I work a service-oriented job too, and likely a much harder one than what she does. It doesn't take much to be nice to people. This place was very fun to attend with family and friends when your not the one making the reservations I hadn't been here in about 2 years and decided to call in to make a reservation for friends and family to attend the paintball park with the different terrain and was talked down to by the wife of the mom and pop shop said it was open on everyday. I was met with disrespect and a very aggravated women that had a bit of a attitude for no exact reason at all and was very confused on why even though the goal was to have fun and pay for it. I have never in my life felt that disrespected as a customer going to enjoy myself and I advise if you don't want any issues in general to not even call again don't even call or be prepared to get met with disrespect it was very disappointing since I have friends that hadn't even used a paintball gun before and while I'm searching and see this pop up I get met with toxic behavior on a beautiful sunny day. read more

I wish we learned our lesson about this place the first time we went last year. First of all, everything everyone else is saying about the hateful, horribleness of the old lady who runs it is completely factual. She's rude and clearly doesn't take care of this messy, unorganized field. Where do I even begin? The field requires barrel covers and last year the first time we visited, we were short one for our rifles. To borrow one from the field, they made my 30 year old boyfriend trade his phone in, despite his hesitancy about handing it over. He asked if he could give them an ID, or even a card to put on file to assure he would return the barrel cover, but they refused, insisting it is policy to take his cellphone. What place confiscates a cell phone from an adult? What if there were an emergency? How are we expected to trust that the shady, rude, unorganized staff will treat his cellphone respectfully? We went to a "Star Wars" themed event (there was nothing representing this theme aside from a schedule of fake events that they never even went over) today and left within thirty minutes of gameplay because of how awful the experience was. The debriefing was a joke. I've been to many events and here rules weren't covered properly. Boundaries were not covered properly. We were given a horribly printed map to reference, while no admins/refs went over anything. The old lady who runs the place was taunting players by calling them "ladies". I am a woman playing in a very male dominated sport and here a fellow woman is using sexist language to taunt people. It was shocking and disgusting. Before we started, they asked who was new to the field and about half the crowd (roughly 80 people attending in total) raised their hands - yet with all these people new to the field, the ref led our team to a start point that was incorrect and halfway through the game, our spawn point changed to some obscure little piece of plastic nailed to a pole hidden away on the field. Half the people attending said they were new to the field, yet mid-game they changed our spawn location and never even showed us where that would be? At least five different people were walking around blasting their personal music - save that for indoor airsoft! It completely takes away from the experience of playing outdoors. In the thirty minutes we stayed, we witnessed tons of cheating, friendlies purposely firing at each other, and lots of trashy people spewing homophobic speech. Have some integrity! If this is their clientele, I'll pass. I actually have many more points I would love to elaborate on but this is already a long review, just to say that we will never, ever return. If you want to experience an amazing outdoor field, head further south to The Swamp. A field that's actually ran by someone who passionately loves and plays airsoft (unlike the evil troll woman at Action Acres who clearly sees her messy, disorganized, hazardous property as a money grab - there's no way this lady slings bb's.) Look I've had a blast playing airsoft here. I love it. I would give a 4 star to the experience, but sadly the actual map is boring, too empty and so easy to spawn trap. I'd give 2 stars to the upper plateau because that area sucks. Only embassy is interesting. Everything else is just trees and dry brush. I'd love to see some more structures. Fences barricades and a FULL outdoor area. I'd give 4 stars to the lower half (West half of map) because it's so well done. The general store, helicopter, still house and so much more are Well Done. The staff are awful to call on the phone. I've tried calling for information and it's always an inconvenience to them having to answer questions I might have. At the event the staff is nice but the refs suck and let players get away with so much. 1 stat refs. The players I've met are awesome though. 5 star players. Overall don't expect much. Rush at the beginning for kills then wait for a teammate to Tk the rest of the day. read more

Mom and pop operation, kinda like playing on your own course with a little help for air and paint(you can bring your own) The owners were super nice to us, free on your birthday, and she let us borrow a rental when one of our markers went down. It's not a fancy place, but it is an operation worth supporting. I look forward to going back again sometime, we played 4 different fields, and there were a ton more there that we didn't even see. 50 acres to explore, it's worth a visit. read more

This place is the definition of toxic airsoft! Tried this place twice now and was unimpressed with the lack of professionalism. This place requires barrel covers for the staging area when not playing. Perfectly understandable. What's not understandable is making full grown adults trade in their CELLPHONES as collateral so you can "rent" a barrel cover. They have zero exceptions. Tried trading in my driver's license or putting a credit card down with my name on it and the bitter old woman running the field would not accept it. It has to be a cellphone! On top of that, I saw about 75% of the players and staff goofing around with their magazines in their rifles at the staging area with their barrel covers on. I've never been to a field where this is ALLOWED! Talk about accidental discharge. Now to the games. Hope you know what to do cause the staff doesn't explain anything! They take you to your spawn point only to change it right after the game starts leaving the players on the field confused and frustrated. And with the only directions given from the rude old lady being, "White team spawns North and south, blue team spawns East and West," you're left scratching your head because no one explained or showed us where these areas are. Between the bitchy attitudes, lack of explaination, lack of safety, and childlike rules of turning in a cellphone for a $4 barrel cover, this is hands down the WORST field I have ever played at. Do not go here, instead go to The Swamp that is only thirty minutes south of this terrible field. It's light-years better! read more

Staff and owners are horrible. Rentals are not maintained well. Tournaments are not run properly. Field has mole hills and holes all over. Old air bunkers are constantly deflating during games. This place blows. Save your gas money and find another place to play. read more

Pros: Socks is one of the best hosts I've ever met. Price 20 dollar entree/ air and 40 dollar cases of paint. Bring your own paint allowed. Cons Other staff aren't great. No speedball field (inflatable bunkers) Some mole holes. Other thoughts: I personally hate the small bushes and trees here. You will sometimes find people inside these sticking their markers out. This makes them nearly impossible to hit because of all the small branches protecting them. It also seems as if only one person maintains this field. That being Socks. I come to action acres hoping that my group will get Socks (the referee/host). Also because of the price. It's a great place to get your paintball fix for a cheaper price. read more

Organized my 13 year old's bday party here. I was very disappointed in the service and the lack of kindness across the board. The main office person was outright rude to the kids and anybody else interacting with her. In my books that alone would have made me leave the place, but there was a bunch of kids waiting. I don't know much about how reliable airsoft guns really are, but we had quite a few failures. The protective gear was on it's last leg or past that point with scratched up goggles, etc. So better bring your own. On top of that I got overcharged by one person just because I handed in one waiver of liability too many, even though one of the team never played and we never got the according number of guns to play with. There was no openness from the owner to accommodate this error. The bday boy got in for free though. Lot's of trash lying around and broken cars and farm equipment. Not my preferred surroundings. So, while my kids enjoyed the playing my experience was quite frustrating and I won't come back. read more

This place is fine if you're the weekend warrior, you like to go out with your buddies and have a good time. Maybe even have a birthday party with some family and friends, but if you're super serious about a professional, clean and clear field this isn't the place for you. It has an assorted array of fields, most of them are woodsball. There's about 3 others which are hyperball, and a standard speedball course with blow up bunkers. I've been there many times and most of the time this blow-up field is rarely up and running so don't count on it. As far as customer service, helping people out they definitely try. I'm not saying they are the best at what they do, but they do make an attempt. Their rentals are low end, I've personally experienced this when one of the markers being rented ( Not my own, I brought my marker ) fell apart, the pin holding the bolt in place came loose shooting out the whole bolt assembly, luckily I was there to fix it. If you're just looking to have some fun on the weekends this place is excellent, go out, enjoy yourself, and have fun. -Mac. read more

I went with a squad of 8 friends & we had all agreed that the courses were great outdoor fun! but SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO BE LANDSCAPED! place is cool but the staff is well less of that. the moment you get there (AT 9AM) you stand there and wait 20 mins to pay to play the 20 more min to crono then 1 hour till you go to the field witch is 10 yards away and is the same each time capture the point dead lock terrain with a 2 minute re spawn personally have played here like it at first then as they judge you for simple things and the criticize you for whatever it is then they ban you from the place even though it is a free country if you want a great place to paintball and airsoft try warpaint and or Oregon airsoft arena stay away from this place also they need to get a better place anyway as it is always too muddy or raining or snowed in and better equipment too read more

As said befote, the owners weren't that nice. My friend and I didn't get barrel socks because she wanted our phones in return for barrel socks. NOT HAPPENING!!!! Anyway, when I came up from paintball to get more Co2, the lady flipped! She said she gave me one and I argued that she didn't. Long story short, get socks before she flips. First off the owner is a grumpy old lady who talks to adults like they are 12 years old. Luckily the Ref's we had for our group of 10 were awesome and willing to jump into to play a round every once in a while. They have several "maps" or areas on the property that service for paintball including fields with houses and castles to forested area's with bunkers. They no longer have the blow up obstacles which was a pleasant surprise. They are starting to offer air soft games as well. read more

The entrance to this place is sketchy!Their website says they are open on weekdays, but when I went over there to ask them about an event, I was yelled at by a lady with facial hair. The airsoft field is pretty cool with some structures, but primarily dense forested area. The monthly events are fun, although some of the employees are rude and seem not to care about airsoft or airsofters. read more
