I generally do not take time to write reviews. However, I was so impressed with Frank and his company, Act Construction, that I wanted to let people know how absolutely fantastic they are to work with. This was my first big renovation project and after hearing horror stories about contractors I was not looking forward to remodeling three bathrooms and a kitchen. Fortunately, my neighbor had used Act Construction and recommended them highly. My initial impression of Frank was very good so I hired him to do the work. That is one of the best decisions I ever made. Not only was the work performed of very high quality, but Frank provided many design suggestions that optimized the functionality of our kitchen. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the quality of alternative brands in cases where our first choice was not available due to COVID supply chain problems and the resulting stock-out issues. I have no hesitation in giving Frank and Act Construction my highest recommendation, especially in light of the fact that he was always available to address any concerns we had when we were unsure about how to best proceed. I reached out to Frank concerning my issue with attic rafters drifting. He provided a quote and the resolution. He is very knowledgeable and can provide quotes for small projects like replacing doors and windows; I initially thought he mainly did big projects. After the project is done, he showed me before and after pictures. I also got in the attic to see the completed work. I like that he is very responsive to his text messages. My schedule is quite tricky so it was great that he can work around it. He was willing to reschedule multiple times. read more

Working with Frank the contractor was a great experience. He gave me a quote for my kitchen and 2 bathrooms which I wanted remodeled and it was by far the best price I got from other 7 contractors I got quoted from. The work did not take more than 3 weeks (very reasonable time) and the job was flawless. I have had bad experiences with contractors before but it wasn't the case with Frank, him and his crew are professionals with nice manners. Not only did I get a reasonable price, I got an easy process with exceptional attention to detail and at the end finish work was flawless. I have recommended him and will continue to do so to my friends and family and will hopefully work with him in the future. read more

All I can say is, WOW, these guys are awesome. I wanted both my kitchen and bath remodeled but I had no idea where to begin. I called some other remodelers, but I felt that they were somewhat fly-by-night. The fine people at Act Construction showed up on time, and took their time with me. So I didn't feel rushed. And I mean the time they gave me was quality time too. So I decided to go with them. Now, anyone that has ever used a contractor to do any remodeling will tell you horror stories of workers not showing up on time, or flat out not showing up AT ALL. I never had this problem with Act. They were there when they said they would be. To top it all off, my wife is kind of a germaphobe, and I braced myself for any fall out over lots of dust and debris,but never really saw any. The workers kept it all down to a minimum. Even my wife was impressed. The ultimate though was the finished job. And finished on time too, I might add. Man, I was stunned. I couldn't believe how great it looked. I couldn't believe it was actually our house. The detail in the finished work was beyond belief. The attention to detail was simply amazing. Perfect in every way. I had a realtor friend of mine drop by and he gave a quick estimate. He said it increased the value of our home to over three times what we spent of the remodel itself, which I didn't really care about since I don't plan on selling anyway, but it was nice to learn. Ok, here's what I have to say. If you're planning on doing a remodel and you're unsure who to use, you can't go wrong with Act. The customer service is top notch. All the people are nice and helpful. The work is of diamond quality. The designers are true artisans. My choice of material was more than I could have ever wanted to look through. The finished job was better than I expected. I purchased an old house in Corona which was in quite a bad shape and needed considerable amount of renovations. I contacted several contractors for design ideas and estimates and the one I chose, based on price and design recommendations, was Frank Fam who was a general licensed contractor. He started the remodeling and construction of our house as promised and the time he took to finish the job was in the time frame we had agreed on. His design ideas and work were very modern and up to date and he had extensive knowledge of California construction laws and regulations. His work was very clean, he was detail oriented and he was very honest. Later on, we needed some small repairs around the house and called Frank. He showed up and finished the jobs with a positive attitude and a great price. We highly recommend Frank for home constructions and remodeling. read more

We have done a few large projects in the last couple years and have had experiences with bad, mediocre and good contractors, Frank is beyond good, he is exceptional. It's impossible to find a contractor who stands by their word; Frank is an exception to that rule. Frank did an addition and extensive renovation for our house. To say that he did a good job is truly an understatement. There were so many challenges with our project from an architect who was not good at communications and lacking attention to detail (who we hired from some one else's recommendation), it was a miracle that we were even able to finish it in time. I truly believe if it wasn't for Frank we would never have been able to pull it off. He took over the project from day one, was present at site every single day and worked with his crew, daily almost non-stop, literally from 8 AM to some days even 8-9 PM. Frank is a genuinely nice person, honest, diligent and reliable. He treated us like his own family. He never nickeled or dimed us for everything he did. He put every bit of effort in the project and made sure that we were happy with the result. Just as an example, towards the end of the project when most of the contractors just wash their hands and are missing in action, Frank went over every single item on the list of things we have made that needed final touches. He took his time and finished every single item on the list. He had to travel overseas for 2 weeks during the project and even then he was in constant communication with us through messaging, despite having a 12 hours time difference. We have worked with contractors, who don't respond to messages or ignore emails for days; Frank is completely the opposite. He will respond to your message in minutes and if he can't type because he is driving or busy with something else he will call you to go over the questions/project to save time. There was a time when our funding was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances on our part; Frank didn't make us feel that the work slowed down even one bit. He was still working day and night to finish the project so we can move in on time. I can't say enough good things about him, He has become a friend and we truly hope that people who need a contractor get to experience Frank and ACT construction to truly understand what excellence means in this business. If you need a contractor and Frank is willing to do your project, please do yourself a favor and get him on board before someone else gets lucky and finds him. He never takes more than he can handle and I truly appreciate that in a contractor. That is how he is able to stand by his word and his work. I will call him without a doubt if I need a contractor again. read more

People usually only go out of the way to share a bad experience, but I've had such a fantastic experience with Frank (owner of the company) that I had to take the time out of my day to share this. Not a lot of contractors are honest, I've had so many bad experiences where people took advantage of my ignorance.... Frank was the first contractor I've met in 10 years were not only did he care about educating me on the best possible route to remodeling my home, he also took my finanaces into account... He gave me an estimate, I then got an estimate from 3 other companies, those companies looked at me like I was crazy when I told them the quote he gave me... not only was his price thousands of $ lower then all these other "big shot" companies, but the quality of his work is something me and my family will enjoy the for rest of our lives in this home here... I asked him why he was helping me so much, he said "Alex, I don't make a lot of money, not because I don't get enough jobs.... but because I have a big heart, all I ask is that you refer me or share your experience..." So here I am, I'd recommend him to my grandmother, my neighbor and even a stranger... if your looking for someone to get the job done and to have a 5 star experience, call Frank, once you've had the same experience... pass the experience on, let's help this amazing man help you! I have used ACT Constructions a couple of times and am happy to write this review. I called after hours with a plumbing issue and Frank was quick to act to my emergency. Once I spoke to Frank I could see he was a straight shooter and offered fair prices for the excellent job he did. It was not more than a few months later that I had a roof leak and I had several bids and Frank was not only the one lowest bid but he did the job in a timely manner. Frank Fam, Contractor and his crew just finished another fantastic job, remodeling my master bathroom and the guest bathroom. I am over the moon with the results. This is the second big job Fam Promotions has completed for me. The first was a kitchen and family room remodel that turned out perfectly. Good bye popcorn ceilings, ugly old florescent lights and hell-o beautiful recessed lights and crown moulding! It made such a difference in the appearance of my home. The crew showed up when they were scheduled, protected my floors, cleaned up daily. I hear so many nightmares with hiring contractors but my experience was truly a pleasure. read more

I rarely write reviews for anything, but Frank Fam from ACT Construction and his entire crew has done such outstanding work for me on two (maybe soon to be three) projects, that I felt compelled to write this review. I have had some bad experiences with people I have hired in the past, so I was cautious and not very hopeful initially. But from my first interaction with Frank discussing the project, he was honest, thoughtful, attentive, knowledgeable, creative, respectful, reasonable and fair. We started with a smaller project of putting in a sliding door, building a small deck and stairs. Frank's attention to detail, workmanship and thoroughness, along with his good nature, not only resulted in a job well done at a reasonable cost in good time, but led me to contract with him on a bigger project which included re-siding and painting my house, and doing some cement refurbishing as well as new cement work. Since mine is a much older home that had not been built the best to begin with, there were a number of very challenging and unforeseen obstacles that Frank and his crew ran into. He faced each one head on, tenaciously and creatively and has solved every one. Franks crew are also very responsible, courteous and thoughtful. He has not only done excellent work, but he is such a pleasure to deal with that I have felt comfortable having him and his crew in my house and on the premises for awhile, very unlike previous workers I have hired. Due to all of the above, not the least of which is this last mention of comfort having his crew around, has led me to think about having them do yet another project of remodeling my bathroom.
