This is one of a few companies that PG&E contracted to inspect and trim some trees in our front yard because of nearby power lines. Their representative first arrived at our house about a month ago and assured me, after I told him that PG&E had trimmed our trees less than a year earlier, that they would be taking off just the few inches of new growth. I was working when the company sent to trim the trees arrived unannounced last week, so I could not babysit them. The result was a disaster. They trimmed several of our trees way more than a few inches and butchered one oak tree entirely. They unnecessarily took off more than 4-5 feet of it (more than 90% of the foliage) and it is essentially just 2 vertical sticks now. This tree, which was small and at least 8 feet under the power lines to start, was not a threat to the power lines, even in the highest of winds. These are not professionals. They nicked branches in the trees, which they left in the trees and are now dead. I as an amateur could have done much cleaner work with my pole saws. They left full branches and leaves scattered all over our front yard along with trash from their lunch and other miscellaneous papers. They also trampled one of our shrubs, which is now dying. PG&E, ACRT, CORE and their web of subcontractors have not offered a solution, leaving me to clean up the mess they made and replace the tree and shrub they destroyed at my expense. These guys are disgusting. They showed up at my property told us they were here to trim our trees near the power line on our property and proceeded to chop the tree down entirely. They had no order to do this when I reviewed their orders from PGE. They left a huge mess on my hard, trampled my other plants, left a giant oil stain right in front of my house with their leaky truck and cracked the curb on my driveway. They the. Just ripped up my shrubs, which were new planted next to the guy wire. Why do this? Even if they had to go. I could have replanted them. I genuinely despise what these assholes did read more

I'm sitting in the Raley's parking lot in Granite Bay.. I came to get groceries, and unfortunately my car battery is low and my car won't start.. I very kindly went up to an ACRT truck and asked the man if he could jump my car, I have the cables.. He stated "our company doesn't allow us to help people" Well, what a nice company policy! I'll make sure never to use ACRT or recommend them to anyone! This company, and their employees is exactly what's wrong with the world today! Shame on you!! read more

ACRT had their subcontractor ArborWorks use spikes to climb our California Live Oaks. They are not supposed to use spikes to climb oaks. UNACCEPTABLE!!! See the photos to illustrate how our Oaks trees are crying from the damage to the bark caused by the spikes when they trimmed they trees. They cut our oak trees well below the roof line AND without using measurements. ACRT and with whom they chose to subcontract are hideous. read more

We have a note on file that we need advance notice of their inspection. Reason being we have horses, steer, mini donkeys and goats that free range. When our property is accessed these animals need to be locked up for their safety. We also have three gates that are driven through to access our property. These gates sometimes do not close. Therefore the person needs to be escorted. I went out to run errands, came home and let my small dogs out. I walked back to my car and to my surprise this ACRT person was in my driveway about to run over my dogs. Amazing how some people have absolutely no regard for someone's privacy/property. I've left several messages for ACRT regarding this incident. I have yet to receive a call back. read more

These people are dishonest, lazy workers. They will come to your property and say whatever it takes to get you to agree to take your trees down. Yes, we'll clean up. Oh, we will cut to this size, leave this, haul away that. "We can also put a note in that you don't need inspection for another five years" When they come, none of that is honored. They leave a mess. Everything they promised wasn't true. Inspectors are right back the next month and the next and the next.... You can't get rid of them. read more

Awful company. They were contracted by PG&E to cut trees to avoid power lines. I get that it won't be the best job in the whole world given the purpose. But they left the tree so unbalanced that other contractors told me that it was actually dangerous and the tree could fall into the house. Plus all of the debris they left behind was awful. To top it all off I asked them to come back and offered to pay for them to do a real job. The agreed and then completely flaked on me. Their supervisor, Kai, absolutely failed to respond to my calls and texts. If you're considering hiring them I would recommend looking elsewhere. I hope PG&E looks into this and dumps them as a contractor. This company is going to cost PG&E a bunch of money due to the dangerous conditions they leave trees and property in. read more

Contrary to some of the reviews I have read here, my experience with ACRT was great! The ACRT team that came to our property was very professional and helpful in evaluating the dead trees that had to be removed due to proximity of PGE lines. From the time they came for the evaluation to the tree removal (today) was under 30 days. Due to the snow on our road, we were just able to drive into our cabin this past week. ACRT has conned us once again - their subs have dropped trees (some unmarked!!), leaving a massive mess, branches strewn all over, etc. - post assurance from them, once we signed off, that this would not reoccur as in the past. One particular case - In 2017 SUBS dropped a huge tree belonging to our neighbor on our property. It took 6 months for ACRT to pay attention. I went to the PGE office multiple times for help and got indifference from staff - the Public is not permitted in the ACRT office, truly! We planned on listing our cabin for sale this weekend; Craig said our driveway is blocked with downed trees. In the high country there's a very small window for showing ski in - ski out cabins. PGE/ACRT is responsible and has made it impossible for us! Personal experience recalls that I'ts extremely difficult to get a return call from ACRT. F^&*+d once again by PGE passing the buck! Losing my normal, understanding, realistic s&it with ACRT. I am trying to resolve the fact that while a tree was removed from under a transmission line in my backyard (at my request) a utility line was cut and left in my yard. The tree crew (not naming them) cut down the tree, did a good job, didn't wreck any of my things, but left a phone cable hanging in my yard, 2 ft. from the ground, also cut lines in the neighbors yard. I was not home but called the contractor that day, asking: "Can you deal with this, or at least notify PG &E? "Sure, sure" and then nothing. Now we get to ACRT. I called the local contact number (Lodi) the next Monday and get "Message Box Full" Really? From a vegetation management company? I would have called the local office, but they are not listed, there is no sign, even though they share office space with... PG & E. My wife works across the street, so she walked over there. An hour later, a lineman with PG & E arrives at my house, looks at the cut line, and says: Phone or cable, not ours". Yea, thanks, I know that. Yesterday, while I was away, someone from local ACRT left a door hanger and contact info. (So helpful almost two weeks later) I just called them both, and was told to contact Comcast or "the phone company". No, that is not what is going to happen. Someone in this chain of apes is going to deal with it. Not my easement, not my sliced line, not my circus. Why would a homeowner be up on a ladder cutting this mess down off a transmission line? ACRT is a shell company designed to evade public contact, hire the actual labor, and to form a layer of insulation for PG & E. This is not a company formed to do much else. This company removed several trees in Bass Lake and stacked the logs on my neighbors property, my neighbor complained, and they removed the major logs from his property and stacked all of the bark and rubble branches against my property line wall on Arrow Rd in Bass Lake. They left large highway cones there to warn drivers they must drive around this pile of rubble on this already narrow lake front street. I'm in the process of doing maintenance on the wall, and can't get to it and physically can't move the debris without a tractor or skiploader. This is not acceptable read more

a very sleazy, irresponsible & criminal organization! sometime prior to October 2014 they entered my property at camino, ca. for no reason & marked for removal a 100+ ft tall, 35 inch dbh ponderosa pine. the tree was perfectly straight & perfectly healthy & 50 ft from the nearest power line! the tree was inside my fence 300 ft from my house, but I was never contacted, as was required, instead the person responsible went to another house across the road 500 ft away and had my neighbor sign a permission form, which the fool did! the neighbor subsequently realized that the tree was mine & advised acrt of that fact, but at the beginning of October someone from mowbray tree service, at the behest of Davey tree service & pge, without telling me, cut the tree. when I complained, I encountered several months of duplicity from all involved, with lies, blame shifting, and denial. finally acrt admitted they are at fault, blaming it on a worker from " back east", but they refuse to tell me who he or she is or why he felt the justification to act in such a reprehensible manner. at this point my intention is to sue my neighbor, acrt and pg&e. read more
