Usually someone eventually manages to figure it out, but this time I was actually told I need to call my insurance company myself and figure it out for them. How does that make any sense when I've filled prescriptions here repeatedly? Then, of course, trying to call the pharmacy is basically useless because they never answer the phone. It should not be this difficult every single time I need a prescription. Between the repeated insurance problems, the lack of communication, and being unable to reach anyone by phone, this location is beyond frustrating to deal with.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Mike. Mike is the overnight pharmacist and he is FANTASTIC! He will not put you on hold, he will not end your call until he takes care of your problem. He goes above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of. I purposely call when he is there if I need anything handled because he is such a joy to deal with. Whatever they are paying him, it's is not enough. Being a kind human is something that is taught and his parents did something right! He has made a Walgreens pharmacy customer out of me! We have been filling our families scripts here for a while now, and we're completely glad we ditched the "big retail chain pharmacies"!! We have never had any problems with them....everyone that works there ALWAYS has a contagious smile on their face, is very courteous, completely knowledgable, and your a name not a number to them(my favorite). They are by far the fastest Pharmacists we have ever used, 100% of our refills are filled and ready in less than 30 minutes. If they're short on the quantity or out of what you need they actually take the time to call you, let you know, and offer you some options(very rarely has this happened). Unlike the big chain "pharmacies" that don't tell you until you show up to pick up your script that isn't there. One of my scripts ISN'T covered by our insurance plan and their private pay prices are either lower or the same as any other pharmacy. They're smart phone app and web portal is super easy to use, convenient, 100% accurate, and lightening fast. I refill all our families scripts through it and they've always received it and filled it immediately. Do you and your family a favor and get rid of the big chain pharmacies and try Lakeside Pharmacy you'll be happy you did...WE ARE!!!
