To our surprise there was no cashiers checking anybody out. A young man came up to my wife as she was trying to self-checkout saying she was doing something wrong. I asked why do they not have any cashiers today? I was told because they had no one that was available. As they're telling me I'm noticing people with Walmart vests just standing around looking at their phones. What kind of business model is this. I said you have all these people looking at their phones. I mentioned the fact out loud that you guys are just standing around looking at your phones and you can't check anybody out where's the manager and when I said that all of a sudden they opened up lane for checkout my wife finished herself check out and I took the remainder of our groceries to this check out. There's something wrong with a company when they let people sit around on their telephones all day long and not wait on customers I'm very disappointed in this Walmart.

They go out of their way to be rude and disrespectful. The black woman in customer service with the blond wig is menacing and bullying to people who are trying to take things back. The store stocker was deliberately throwing out nasty, derogatory remarks, even positioning herself directly where we can hear her. Another black employee with a large wig on 8-29, was already staring at us already when she got out of blue car, with bad intentions, before we even walked into the store. Then when we pass her, she's mumbling something derogatory under her breath. I recently spent 6 months on a reservation in South Dakota for a temp assignment, shopping in grocery stores on the rez and not one time had any problems with the employees of indigenous descent. I come back here and these wig-wearing black women have been a huge hassle and make the experience of shopping at this Walmart a living hell on every visit. My family and I shouldn't have to be filled with suspense every time we have to go shopping there. After all, customers such as myself and my family are spending money which filters back into their pockets as employees as a matter of fact. I would be more than happy if the store would get rid of these women altogether.

During my most recent visit, I was picking up prescriptions for my daughter. After being asked to wait in the drive-thru, I went inside to complete another transaction and then walked back to the pharmacy counter for an update. I politely said "excuse me" to the employee who had been assisting me, and she ignored me more than once before finally responding. Another staff member, who was helping a different customer, stopped her conversation, briefly covered her ears, and stated that she had "five people trying to talk to her at one time." I politely explained that I was speaking to the employee beside her, not to her. There was no apology or acknowledgment. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident. I have also had previous interactions with the pharmacist that felt judgmental, dismissive, and lacking in professionalism. On one occasion, sensitive medical information was discussed in an area where other customers were nearby, which made me very uncomfortable and raised concerns about privacy and discretion. On another occasion, I was simply asking for help understanding a prescription discount and received a response stating that if I could not afford the medication I should ask my doctor to prescribe a different one which I found unnecessarily dismissive and embarrassing. I completely understand that pharmacies are busy and that staff members are under pressure, but patients should still be treated with basic courtesy, professionalism, dignity, and discretion. After several experiences like this, I submitted a formal complaint to Walgreens. I hope this location takes the concerns seriously and provides additional training in customer service, communication, professionalism, and patient privacy.

The staff are usually friendly and courteous especially the pharmacy staff. Rating a good 3 stars, the new CVS further along Rayford near Riley Fuzzel is bigger, brighter and more welcoming but less convenient for me. I called at 7:34 pm-- plenty of time, you'd assume-- to speak to a staffer before their 8 pm closing time. The automated recording instructed me to hold, as there were three callers ahead of me. The number eventually dropped to one, and as my call timer hit 26 minutes, the recording told me to continue to hold as they handled other customers. So I held and I held and I held some more. Finally I hopped in the car and drove to the store, my phone speaker continuing its instruction to hold. I marched straight to the back of the store where-- no surprise-- I found the pharmacy locked and dark. I would expect them to lock the door and close the blinds at 8:00, but a respectable, professional staff would clear the phone board before heading home. They didn't even have the "common courtesy" to hang up on me. Wishing to take it up with a manager, I kept my phone speaker on as I awaited my turn for the cashier up front. "Please continue to hold as we are speaking to other customers," it repeated over and over. At 8:28 I finally spoke to a human being. "May I speak to a manager, please?" "Um, wait, is it Tuesday?" the cashier asked. "Yes, it's Tuesday. May I speak to a manager, please?" "No, he's not here. He'll be in tomorrow." "Is there nobody here who can help me with a pharmacy issue?" "Pharmacy closed at 8:00." "Yes, but they were open when I called them, and the automated voice keeps telling me they're still speaking to other customers. Look at the time stamp on my phone." I would have suggested the entire staff take a refresher course in customer service, but at that point I realized it's a fool's errand to look for any kind of meaningful assistance from people who clearly value their own time above their customers'.

However, right after they administered the shots, I asked to see the packaging box and discovered they had given us Fluzone instead. It is clear the pharmacy staff has no training or awareness regarding Moderna's new mFlusiva mRNA shot, confusing traditional options with a completely different technology. Giving patients a different product than they explicitly requested--and misinforming them by phone and in person--is a major breakdown in basic communication. If you decide to get your vaccine here, ask to see the box and check the vaccine name before they administer it. Do not trust them to know what products they actually have in stock.
