Random pug from another group paid us a visit. They had two dogs who ran around having the time of their lives.

You need an appointment. MAKE IT. Never been to a winery where the owners/wine makers do it all at a tasting. Never had them sit down, casually chat about wine and other things. Never had them ask how they could improve our experience. I love the "Wine For Normal People" podcast and the host, Elizabeth Schneider, has raved about Acorn over the years to the point I thought I'd be disappointed. My friends, my wife, and I loved it! Now we're members. Thanks Bill and Betsy for a wonderful experience.

A hidden gem located near Healdsburg that makes a wide variety of tasty wines. We last visited in 2010 and were happy to reconnect and taste the latest releases during our latest trip to Sonoma. We were happy to see they have continued to produce high quality varietals and they remain a humble, unassuming spot for people who are more interested in wine than the carnival of the bigger wineries. Remember, you need to make a reservation to visit and taste and you will want to allow around an hour. You will be glad you did.

You can't beat Acorn Winery for an educational wine experience straight from the winemakers themselves. We went as a group of 3 couples, the size was perfect for there space. Such a genuine experience- learning about wine, the vineyards and the people themselves, Betsy + Bill. We had the incredible opportunity to walk amongst the vines and learn about the different varieties Bill grows, many of which are grown for other wine makers. Our time tasting and learning their story was wonderful with Betsy. Thank you for a wonderful time!

What a lovely location! We came out here for a tasting on our way out of town this morning. The owners are great hosts and the wines are fab. If you come out for a tasting you must try the Cabernet Franc (and buy a bottle) and the Medley! Both are well done and the Medley is so unique!

A HIDDEN GEM !!! Goodness, where to begin. The wines AND the proprietors were just amazing. Do not be turned off by the fact that you have make an appointment, the private tasting and intimate setting are so so worth it. Betsy and her husband were so welcoming and the wines are just show-stoppers. I figured I'd like one or two.... wrong.... good, better, best, even better than best! Our favorites were the Cab Franc, Dolcetto, Acorn Hill Blend, Sangiovese, and the Zin. It's hard to play favorites with so many amazing choices. I just can't say enough great things about this winery. If you like big reds, small lots, and a truly hand crafted experience you will not be dissapointed. We WILL be back.

Awesome hospitality and great wines at a family friendly and intimate winery. Betsy made us feel welcome, even though we weren't able to score an appointment for a wine tasting. It was a wine passport weekend, but she encouraged us to drop by towards the end of the event anyway, which we did. My toddler even got to do some tasting -- of some awesome apple juice, poured by Betsy herself. Acorn Winery is still a sentimental favorite for us. A bottle of their Rosato for another great memory . . .

Can't believe I didn't write a review after my first time at Acorn. Shame on me! I recently went back to Healdsburg and made a point to visit Acorn again. This time I brought friends with me because I enjoyed my first experience so much. They loved it as much as I did. Bill and Betsey are awesome! Betsey does such a great job explaining the wines and their process. It's not an elegant setting, but that doesn't matter. You get a straight forward, pure wine discussion accompanied by some unique, great-tasting wines. We'll more than likely be back a third time the next time we're in Healdsburg. Thanks to Bill and Betsey for such a personal, thoughtful experience!

We went to Acorn Winery yesterday and were thrilled with every wine in the tasting with Betsy . Topped off with a tour and taste of the grapes right off the vines with Bill. He provided such interesting information about the horticulture of their extensive varieties. A magical day. Thank you.

I've been here several times before, but have never bought any of their wines. Same goes for this visit. We came here for the "Wine & Food Affair" event last weekend. I love their vineyards - it's really beautiful, and the staff is always welcoming and friendly. They have a nice, walk-through lay-out for these events, and plenty of wines to taste! For this particular event, they were pouring at least 4-5 wines and they also had a nice little appetizer to try. I'm giving this 3 stars because the wines are just okay. I've never bought any wines here, but for some reason, I always end up here due to the great Yelp reviews. I wouldn't say that their wines are terrible by any means, but nothing really stands out for me. Everyone has their own tastes and palates though, so you should definitely stop by and try them out.

Boutique Wineries "off the beaten track " are why you want to visit the Russian River region. This friendly , small winery is putting out some pretty promising Zin from the barrel tasting we did over the weekend. The Syrah was also very nice. Well worth the stop on your way to the other wineries of the Dry Creek area/Russian River valley.

I was invited to a private birthday party at the award winning Acorn Winery. Finally, a wine tasting that have such distinctive flavors between all the pours. Sometime you go to a wine tasting and they all taste somewhat similar but not at acorn. The owners Bill and Betsy are not in the business to just make a profit, they are passionate about their products. Down to earth and genuine folks. Place is kid friendly. Kids ran around the winery. You can't buy their wine anywhere but here.

Incredible winery located an hour outside of Napa, that is definitely worth the drive. The owners Bill and Betsy went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. They welcomed our young daughters to play and explore their beautiful vineyard, while they thoroughly explained each wine during our private tasting. Truly some of the best wine we have ever tasted. We didn't want to leave! Planning to visit again in the future, but in the mean time we will enjoy their Wine Club deliveries.

I made reservations for two adults and two young teenagers on a Tuesday morning and were the first guests to arrive that day. We were greeted with a welcome glass and were told they were setting up our table. That gave us enough time to do a couple of selfies and within minutes, we were escorted inside. Season Leef was our host/wine ambassador that morning and we loved her energy, attention to detail and how she treated us like we were members of the MacRostie Winery/family. She was more about understanding our palettes and pouring us what we gravitated towards to showcase the vast portfolio Heidi (winemaker) has been able to produce. Usually not a fan of Chardonnays but it was a neat experience tasting different variables and how each one is slightly different. We know we like Pinot Noirs so when we started diving into the reds, thats when we started figuring out what we liked. Ended up purchasing a bottle of their 2022 Nightwing Vineyard 828 Clone Pinot Noir :chefkiss: My two young teens are used to being at wineries with us so they're pretty good about keeping themselves occupied on their own (even with out devices). But, I really appreciated that Season brought over some paper and a pack of markers for them since they both still like to draw. Plus, we had a couple of good sessions of tic tac toe while we sipped and took our time. We had a great experience here thanks to Season! Seeing that they're dog friendly, we'll bring our 4 legged family member next time.

I forgot the exact experience that we chose, but it was $75 for each with wine and food included. You will get 4 wine tastings, for us it was 2 reds and 2 whites, and a charcuterie plate with cheese, salami, and seasonal fruits and crackers. Wine quality was great. The white wines had a clean and crisp taste with that bright acidity and mineral finish. The reds had a very deep grapefruit aromatic and earthy undertone. After we've done with wine tasting, they gave us a free piece of dark chocolate (super yummy) at the end for palate cleanser. Our server was really knowledgeable and attentive though, so service was nice. Overall a great spot if you stay cool! But okay, few things to watch out for. Make sure you make a reservation in advance cuz they were packed (reservations needed prepayment). Even though we had one, we still had to wait like 20 minutes before our table was ready. Also, definitely ask to sit inside in the summer!! We sat outside and there is no AC, it was so hot we couldn't fully enjoy the graveyard view, it's way too sweaty for the summer.
