I love supporting locally-owned businesses. I purchased a work truck with lockers. The locks were broken, Nate their tech was luckily available. They immediately worked on replacing both locks. I was impressed with the craftsmanship and professionalism. Very affordable and my locks work perfectly. Today I had them re-key all my locks to one key! Nate came early and started immediately. My dogs definitely accepted him. He checked all the doors, took out the cylinders and went into his mobile workspace. Made keys on site. Oh, I forgot to mention that he's a certified Locksmith. It took around an hour to get five cylinders done. He even fixed a loose cylinder as well. He's very knowledgeable and courteous. Very professional. My service call was worth every penny and priced competitively. I would highly recommend them to anyone! They specialize in Commercial locks as well as Residential locks. Definitely an A+ business and I will use them again anytime I need locks. They also have pad locks for sheds and gates. They can be keyed alike. Claimed to miscut a key due to incompetence which upset a previous customer and gave that as a reason that the "store policy" is not to cut my key due to lack of expertise, talent, and skill. Photo included of the key and blank they claimed not to have the skill to cut despite owning the machine to do so. As you can see, it is nothing fancy and any key cutting machine invented after 1917 can handle a flat metal key. I assume it will just collect dust until they hire a professional technician. I managed to find a reputable business in Denver with higher professional standards. I would definitely suggest calling ahead to see if this company is still in business and if they hired someone with basic skills as this may spare you a waste of time. read more

When searching for a locksmith to make duplicate, chipped car keys for my 2012 Forester, I knew it wasn't going to be cheap. I called around to quite a few locksmiths that did automotive keys and Acoma won me over for the friendly and honest customer service that Mario provided over the phone. It didn't hurt that they also offered the best price. Now car key prices vary depending on how complicated your key is, but I was able to get 2 duplicate car keys and an extra key fob done at Acoma for $240 total. One place I had called previous wanted to charge me $220 per key! Even more than the price, I was really impressed with how this business treats its customers. Mario was friendly and accommodating from the get-go, service was prompt (I think I was there for maybe 30 minutes to have all 3 items programmed to my car?). I needed two different locks on the front door worked on. Both the door lock and the storm door lock were not functioning well. I called, they fit me in quickly and got the front door lock fixed. That's the good part. The tech who came said he did not have the parts needed to repair the storm door lock and would have to do some research. I asked how they would handle coming back out and the tech said they might charge me another 1/2 hour once they got the parts. Clearly he understood I expected them to come back out and finish the other lock. I have since called at least 5 times. Three times I spoke to a female answering the phone and she said she would get back to me with an answer. At least once I left a voicemail. No answer, no call back in a couple of months since the work was done. I guess I have to call someone else, pay the trip fee and hourly rate again to get the job done. That will basically double the cost of what it should have been. Acoma lock almost did a great job but fell short in the end. read more

Checked with Acoma a few months ago for a specific key blank for my car, they didn't carry it but instead tried to sell me the exact blank I told them I wanted to avoid. Fast forward to today and a second chance for a local business, I brought my own key blank in and with no explanation was told they wouldn't cut my key blank and again they tried to sell me the inferior key blank. The stink eye and demeaning tone of voice certainly didn't help their cause. read more

I have used Acoma for several locksmith items over the years and have had a great experience. The guy at the front desk (I didn't get his name) was very professional, friendly and personable. The owner, Mario, took care of my issue and just gets things done . My most recent experience was when I needed a new car remote. I had already called the Medved dealer in town and it was going to cost me 145 for the part and then 35 for the programming fee and I'd have to schedule the programming through the service dept. Mario had a matching remote in stock and did the entire programming while I waited - took about 10 minutes! The best part was that it cost $80 dollars total, so that saved me $100 dollars! Acoma went above and beyond in a challenging situation. Our front door hardware needed rekeying and latch repair. The hardware manufacturer was challenging to say the least. Rather than tell us that new hardware was the only alternative, Acoma worked persistently for weeks to secure the part necessary so that we could keep the unique hardware. Additionally, keys for decorative security doors were atypical, and required significant effort to get cut properly. Their work is first rate, and they are also a pleasure to deal with. I have used these guys in the past and they have always been efficient and professional. No hidden fees and they charge a fair price. Recently, I had a wonderful experience with them that put this above the rest. They came to my house to change my locks (someone unsavory had keys to my house) even though I wasn't scheduled and didn't charge me for some of the labor charges that they could have charged me for. I made the mistake of hiring some jerk when I found out Acoma couldn't fit me in that day. Be careful when you hire a locksmith with those $15 a lock change ads- they're scammers who come out and charge a ton of money!!! They don't tell you upfront, either. And since I was a single mom and by myself they saw me as easy prey. So again, the Acoma locksmith company is the way to go. I had to call the police on the other guy/locksmith that came to my house because he wouldn't leave and started working on my lock so that I would have to pay him even though I didn't want him to do the services once I found out how much it would cost. The owner of Acoma stopped by to make sure the other guy left and helped me rekey the locks on the spot since the other guy took off with my key. They made sure that I was taken care of and it was a lesson that I'll never forget. Their kindness with me made all the difference. They weren't trying to gouge me, gave me some cheap suggestions on what I could do to fix my problem and were so helpful. I can't say enough about these guys and their integrity! I needed a key for a used car I bought and I wanted to use a local company. When I called them, they gave me a reasonable quote and said they would have to order the key and it would take a week. After two weeks, I walked into the store and inquired about the key. The young man said it wasn't in yet and they would call me. After two more weeks I walked in again and was told again, it wasn't in yet. That's the last time I talked to them. They never once called me, and I had to use another company. I can't speak for their craftsmanship, but if their communication skills are indicative of their work, I'd look elsewhere. I spent 5 weeks calling several times just to get them to do an estimate and they couldn't even do that. The last time I called, they blamed me for the communication breakdown, saying that they had been trying to text and call. Not true. read more

Worst customer service! I purchased a used car that only came with one fob (it's keyless). So I bought two more fobs and needed them programmed and cut. Called this place and scheduled appointment. At the said appointment date and time I arrived but the place was not open and didn't open until 8:30, appointment was made for 8:00am (their choosing). When the employee finally arrived she told me she had no appointment on their schedule for me. I asked her if she was only female who works there she said yes, so I told her I scheduled the appointment with her directly. She explained all their techs were in Monument and could not help me that day. So I rescheduled appointment for 2 weeks later, again at 8am, she verified the owner Mario would be there at 8am that day. Later this day Mario calls and leaves a voicemail that he understood they messed up my appointment and he wanted to take care of me before my vacation the next week and wanted me to call him back to arrange it. I was impressed so I called him right back and left my own voicemail thanking him and wanting to see what we could arrange before my vacation as planned. He never called back. So I kept the new appointment two weeks later after my vacation. When I arrived the female employee asked why I was there and I explained my appointment. She looked confused, looked on the computer and asked what appointment was for. I explained it was with Mario to program and cut and program new fobs. She stated he wasn't there but would call him to see where he was. She calls him and when he answers she asks him if he's in his realtors meeting! She then walks to the back and I can't hear the conversation but as she returned she tells him she's sure she can do it. She tells me this when she hangs up and I ask her if Mario had forgotten about me again? She tells me he didn't and she'd program my fobs. I asked her why Mario wasn't there to do it as planned and she tells me he's busy. I asked her why she didn't just take care of me two weeks ago when they forgot about me the first time? She wouldn't answer that question so I told her I was not going to give them my business because they had mistreated me twice and if they didn't care that much for they had not earned my business. I wasn't going to give them my money or business and not going to trust her with expensive fob to train on! I suggest looking for other locksmith. On my review on another site he acknowledges their mistake and makes up they were going to perform the service for free, which is easy to make up after the fact. read more
