Worst store i the area. Dirty, produce shells are often empty. Sales are a joke, they do not really stock items advertised . This week I found that you cannot even get rain checks for items on sale they said it's a new policy ! read more

This was my 2nd time going to this market to purchase seafood/ fish only to have to wait, upwards to 20-30 mins. I understand that employees must take breaks, however, this location should provide someone to cover employees, during their break. A customer, like myself shouldn't have to wait 20 mins, just to make a purchase. I recently brought the situation to the front of the store and was simply told, " I'm sorry." That's unacceptable... read more

Save yourself the aggravation of going here and just go to ShopRite or Wegmans. I can tell you right now that whatever it is you're going for isn't there or maybe it is but it's probably rotten or expired or extremely over priced. Me and my fiance have a long running inside joke now that we never ever leave there without some kind of story. They call themselves the "pros in produce" yet every single time I go the produce is rotten. We laughed hysterically the last time we were there at the limes because they were all shriveled up and black.. and still charging full price lol who is managing this dump? Would love to meet this special person. Now since after covid if you are getting a few things and don't need an entire cart, I hope you are talented enough to balance everything cause there are no such thing as shopping baskets anymore. Why you ask? Well simple everyone else is punished for others who took baskets when acme no longer offered bags due to the law in nj. They won't even offer you paper bags all the while putting more self check outs in taking real people who could check out but paying them to stand there and stare at their phone instead while you do their job after you may have possibly worked all day. We laugh every time and say I want their job! The other night, after working all day and coming home from a long few mile walk we stopped in to get some turkey from the deli for work the next day. I stood there for nearly 40 minutes watching someone who clearly is not qualified to handle the position take a half hour to slice someone's meats. No, not exaggerating.. I actually counted the people behind me waiting to be served there were 8 other people waiting, one person who can't do the position and again we said where is the manager?! any other store would have saw the amount of customers waiting and would've helped. I was tired I was hungry I just wanted to go home I never went to a store that literally has a new story of frustration each and every time I go. I never been to a store that almost makes you cry out of frustration. I get mad at myself every single time I go there cause it's close by.. just go somewhere else. read more

although the front end staff are very wonderful people, they aren't taught well on how their job works. i worked for this store for a short time and was let go for breaking policy. thats my own fault but they're not even taught how to do certain things. the managers want to help but they can't cause the company can't be bothered to teach them what they need to know. the store manager Steve is a complete asshat and also doesn't know anything and tells his workers to just "figure it out". the workers are not treated right in this store and not to mention the constant sexual harassment that goes on and the older deli guy always being drunk on the job and doesn't wear gloves when handling the meat. all the other employees deserve so much better. a manager that actually cares and doesn't literally bully them. read more

Has delicious 8 piece roasted chicken. They can't keep in the pans it sells so quickly..

Closes at 9 on Friday night? Seriously ACME? Very small store, not a huge selection but good for when you have to run out and grab something. Make sure you check expiration dates as their inventory doesn't get cycled often. read more

Be forewarned, this "Little Acme" is the size of a drugstore. You might not want to go here for a big holiday or weekly order, but it's a great market to run into to pick up a few things. You can get in and out a lot faster than the bigger markets in the area. read more

ACME Markets - the exterior of an acme store - Grocery Near Me - Maple Shade, New Jersey

We bought fish here that was apparently previously frozen! We cooked it just hours after our purchase and it was definately spoiled and not safe to eat!!! SEAFOOD BUYERS BEWARE!!! Also the woman where I returned the fish too was not wearing her mask properly! It was positioned down under her chin putting myself at risk! read more

My wife and I are both high risk so we put an order in through "instacart" We were told the instacart employee had our order waiting. We donned our gloves and off we went. While waiting the instacart woman said "there is no one able to take your order out to the car. You will have to come inside and get it" . Isn't staying out of these places the point? So.....we can't reach the instacart woman and we're just sitting out there. My wife calls the Acme number and reaches SHARON.....What a doll. Comes out checks all our info to make sure we are the right family. Goes back in and brings it all out......with a SMILE, I might add. This was at 10:45 Sunday March 29th. Thank you, Sharon read more

July 11, 2018 be aware of some weirdo not minding his own business when checking out. He would grab a divider and placed it on the check out converter belt ans said this is how we do it. Description of weirdo 5' 8. Mid aged white man. read more

The manager on this evening, Novalie, left a 'first time on register' new employee up front BY HERSELF. The new employee tried to contact the manager twice while attempting to ring up (2) $30 gift cards. An error ensued and I was told it's now my problem and I have to contact the gift card company to find out how to correct the error. Impossible to do because I don't work at Acme. She didn't fully understand or care to understand but happily kept telling me it's now my problem to fix. Not only is Novalie incompetent, rude and disrespectful, she refused to give me her supervisors last name and proceeded to give me a wrong phone number. I've shopped at the Maple Shade Acme for 35 years. I'll never go there again. Novalie and her millennial work ethic will run that store in to the ground if they don't retrain or dismiss her all together! read more

Super overpriced, sparse selection, unorganized and stressful! Good in a pinch of you need something desperately.

Super small, always out of everything but it's on the next truck..., right! Of course they know they'll get you not much else around but they're still way out of line, and always only 1 lane open. read more

This store and the company in general is a dinosaur. Indifferent staff who sense the end are either not available or not familiar with items in store. Aisles tight and hard to navigate. Deli is a nightmare, poorly staffed with no staff at all in some cases. In one instance,They didn't even have deli bags so they were using produce bags! They just can't compete in the world of Wegmans and ShopRite. read more
