I tried the new burger joint in Cotati last night at their grand opening. Won a $25 gift certificate & pint glass in the raffle. They passed out free duck confit sliders & pork belly sliders with slaw on large sweet Hawaiian rolls while we all waited in line. Turns out, everything on the menu was half off! I got to sample the regular fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings & the soup of the day was butternut squash apple curry. Everything including my burger was delicious. The thing shocked me was their in-house made dill pickles. I HATE dill pickles (at least, I did until last night). They were so good! I don't know, maybe it was a fluke. I will see when I go back to run thru the other interesting items on the menu (e.g. seared foie gras, truffle butter, locally foraged mushrooms, Bodega Bay rock cod). They came with a different dynamic that will give Mike's & Super Burger some serious competition. Bottom line: Acme Burger is PM approved. read more

Had dinner tonight, ehh. I ordered acme Burger with cheddar medium rare with tater tots. Burger was tiny and well done. I sent it back, second time came with all the condiments and sauce, and I wanted plain. Third time it was right. The burger is way to small for the bun, but the meat is very flavorful. The tots were pretty salty and you get a ton of them. I could eat less than half. We shared a vanilla milkshake that was yummy. My suggestion is make the burger a little bigger and the bun a little smaller. read more

Ordered cheese burger made with Sonoma Mountain beef. This is local product done the way I like best - grass fed, finished with grain. Burger perfectly cooked - flavorful and juicy. Bun is very important and I love the seeded bun. It has great chew and flavor. And, it's also a local product. Fries are voluminous and quite crispy and tasty. While waiting I tried their homemade pickles and pickled veggies. Crunchy and delicious. The menu is extensive - veggie burger, chicken, fish, several salads and will have soft serve and shakes. I chatted with gregarious owner who pointed out the patio (raining when I went so closed) and he mentioned they will have music nights, tastings, etc. it's going to be a great neighborhood spot with a local feel and culture. This place is amazing I've been here three or four times since they opened, and I have to say it's probably one of the best burgers in town. The staff is friendly no matter how busy they are, and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It's extremely family friendly, the staff has even entertained my son a time or two when he insisted that they play foosball with him. (He's 3 ha ha). We did take out here tonight and it was hands down the best burger I have had in a restaurant. I had a bacon cheeseburger and added onion rigs making it a western style burger and tots on the side. The bun is amazing. Toasted perfectly and just a touch of sweetness. Great quality meat pattie and cooked to perfection. The tater tots were just how they are meant to be. This place is a gem! The food is excellent complimented by a nice local beer and wine selection. I've run the menu gamut on sandwiches and all were delicious. Standing out in my list are the seared Ahi and impossible burger. Still on my list to try are their salads, garlic fries, tater tots ( nostalgia time) and chili. I decided to come here at the last minute when they were about to close. I ordered to go a double cheeseburger with onion rings for my boyfriend and a single blue cheeseburger for myself. I normally hate ordering take out because I feel the food never tastes the same or the order gets messed up but I have to say the food was delicious! This is one of the best burgers I have had in a long time! I ordered the Sonoma Mountain Beef burger with Pt. Reyes Blue Cheese, crispy onion rings and red onions (I like my onions). It was delicious. They toast the seeded bun which makes a huge difference. We had a side of tater tots which were fine - nothing to write home about but certainly edible. But the burger was really tasty and not at all greasy. The staff were very friendly. Our kids appreciated the variety of games throughout - board games for the table, foosball, a large chalk wall. We visited Acme for the first time yesterday. All in all the food was good, not great but good and for that would go back if I were in the area. However, our order was either not taken well by the girl discussing someone else's order about cheese with another employee or the kitchen was having issues. We ordered garlic fries and when we got our order were told that we had ordered regular fries and could stand in line at the register again to get the garlic fries. At that point they had a line at the register and our food would have been cold by the time we would have received the correct fries. I ordered 2 add-ons to my burger and one came on my burger and one came on the other burger that was ordered. I think attention to detail would go a long way. read more

Everything was great!!! I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was amazing. My husband and son each had the grass fed burger patty and loved them. My first time call unfortunately a strange smell as I came in like old meat. Friendly and helpful employees and quick service. I had there acme burger with blue cheese and shared french fries and onion rings with the rest of the people in my party. I was hoping for something special but the hamburger was good and so was the fries. The onion rings were a little greasy. I like Dill pickle's but the only thing they had was homemade sweet pickles which were good but not what I wanted. My mom always said if you can't say anything nice don't say anything. But this is a nice new venue in Cotati but not my favorite. Just my opinion. read more

Everything is so good here! All the ingredients are amazing- I love their buns! Definitely have to try their famous Acme Burger with whatever add-on's you want from American to Brie cheese, avocado, egg, etc. If you still have room, I recommend getting a Vanilla ice cream cone or milkshake.
