My son got a ticket for inattentive driving after about six months and Geico immediately sent me notice that my son must get his own policy at a cost of 5 times what our was or they would drop us. i should of sued these SOB's but dropped them went to another carrier and received better coverage with my son for less money. He disclosed to the insurance agent that we had a claim with our previous insurance. They even commented that the previous insurance company entered the claim incorrectly. We filed a claim on the boat trailer a few days later on 3/11/2026 due to an issue that occurred on the freeway 3/10/2026 (axle was broken and other tire issues). GEICO asked us not to authorize any repairs pending the claim resolution. We followed up every few days about the claim with GEICO. We informed them that we are being charged daily to keep the boat/trailer there while we await their decision. We were contacted by GEICO on 4/6 and informed that our policy was cancelled from the issue date due to failure to disclose a previous claim. My husband spoke to one of the people at the insurance agent's office and they specifically remember that he informed them of the previous claim. Now we are not only stuck paying for the repairs but also for the storage which is over $2000 due to waiting for GEICO's decision which was ultimately to cancel our insurance. We cancelled all our other polices with GEICO after this. Truly a shame.. we will also be filing a claim with the Division of Consumer Services

His excuses are: "STATE FARM RAISED PREMIUMS STATE-WIDE (3 months after I signed up) - 2 people I know that have State Farm did not have their premiums go up. I get a letter that he's raising premiums again for my windshield replacement. This is mandatory in Florida and is not considered a no fault claim. There is a Florida statute regarding this.
