I had always enjoyed GEICO commercials; I literally found them hilarious; however, I've always wondered if their motto is true (15 minutes can save you...). Well, I have to say that Shelby Harris from Gainesville make that slogan true. It is always PAINFUL to shop for car insurance but I have to say that my perception recently changed when I secured 2 cars with Shelby. She's a great sales person; the kind of sales persons from which you will buy even a fountain pen, which has no use in our modern world anymore, because she will guide you through the whole process by presenting a lot of advantageous alternatives for you to secure your deal. I called several places about getting car insurance for my new car. They honored the years I was in my parents' policy and gave me a discount for that. It was by far the least expensive coverage with low deductibles. Progressive quoted me a price that was $150 more per month and with deductibles that were twice as high. Dereck was extremely kind and patient. I had lots of questions about what certain coverages were for and how the worked if I were to be in an accident. He thoroughly answered each of my questions and followed up with me in a timely manner. I plan to purchase my next round of car insurance through Geico and will be looking into renter's insurance through them as well. All in all, a great experience. read more

I shopped around for insurance quotes since my Auto Insurance was up for Renewal, Geico beat all other Insurance companies and was $300.00 lower than my previous Insurance company, which continued to go up every year. I was a little weary that The price was too good to be true and was worried that if I bought the policy on line that It would be a different amount when I received the actual policy (which happened to me many years ago). I actually was getting quote on line and thought I made a mistake because Geico was quoting me such a low rate for MORE coverage and less deductible than I was paying State Farm. So I called Gainesville office and had them give me a quote. I realized we were paying State Farm way too much. I signed on with Geico and happily cancelled State Farm the same day. read more
