We are at a campground nearby, and get subs/pizza a few times during summer .I know good pizza,and this is the best,tastiest pizza all around the Plaistow area has to offer, and we've tried all of them a few times. The subs are a little pricey (for me, she says no, but ,I 'm fussy and get plain ham/cheese/ etc ) but worth it. My wife loves the Italian ( w/everything no hots) but I love the Pepperoni/extra cheese pizza , call ahead at mealtimes ,lunch/dinner or you will wait . Other people order and get incredible perfect meals every time I order I get a miss made sub and have to go back while everybody eats their hot meal. It's not hard in my opinion to make an eggplant sub with American cheese no sauce. This time was the kicker when there was only one slice of eggplant on each side I am truly glad I like their bread because that's what filled me up don't get me wrong. The flavor was there although I do not care for the skin on the egg eggplant. They did replace the sub free of charge and and as in the past have told us to keep the miss made sub. Off the road gem. I first came to Acio's in 2022 and since been twice. I live in FL but frequent NH. Definitely one of my go to spots. Cute little deli/pizza place. Home cooked fresh sandwiches, pizza and salads. The service is quick and efficient. Very friendly, country style atmosphere. If you're a thanksgiving dinner fan, the clicker balls are to die for. I live around the corner from the R/R track where Acio's is located. I bought from them before and the chicken fingers were good, both the dinner and the chicken finger subroll. Then, this happened: My friend and I each ordered a steak tip dinner and it was delivered. When I opened mine, I had only 3 pieces that looked like it was already chewed. My friend's tips were fine and full of steak tips. I called them about it and told them to come take it away and give me a new one. They did come and take it away, did NOT replace it and kept my money! I contacted the owner about it twice and she never replied. This happened many years ago and I have never ordered again from them and I never will. read more

Was told my pizza would be ready in 25 minutes. Got there and waited an extra 30 mins. The older lady working behind the counter didn't have any customer service. When the pizza was finally on the counter she just looked at us and didn't say anything. They have no concept of other peoples time, their own time and what it takes to run a successful customer service based company. The pizza wasn't even worth the wait. I am told this happens a lot. I don't even know where to start, the food are so good that I leave with a smile everytime I walk out of the pizza shop with my food. The staff are so kind I never met someone that is blesses with kindness. Delivery on May 22 consisted on chichen parm sub, ceaser salad and a large cheese pizza. With delivery charge in was $25.00. Sandwich was HOT and tossed into a bag with a COLD salad and the sandwich was folded in half and coming out of the wrapper. Cheese from pizza was stuck to the top of the box I assume from the weight of other food on top of it. Oh and the pizza was COLD. Delivery girl in Yellow VW Bug was not friendly, handed the slip for me to sign and mumbled thanks as she turned around to leave. Small town syndrome again shows that no TLC is needed in their minds as we don't have a plethora of places that deliver. What a shame. read more

i've posted on them before, but my last pie encouraged me to do it once more. i had a delish take out pizza. I am contrasting this with the one i had before that i think was prepared by a younger girl ( i don't know if related), but it kind of sucked. so i have that contrast. The last one was done by an older sister(?) and they had the formula down. Like everything in any mysterious back room of a restaurant we don't know if the old cook/chef is there or a new one is filling in. Consistency is EVERYTHING . i also find that their cluckers are very good as well, add a little cranberry sauce/gravy and you've got a mini Thanksgiving meal (if you like traditional Thanksgiving, as i do) It's stuffed with chicken, not turkey, but still good. read more

Horrible customer service. We have ordered delivery here many times since moving to Kingston and tonight we ordered and about 5 minutes later they called back and said we are a half mile too far and we had to come get it. My wife told them we have had delivery before and was rudely told "if we want it come and get it." Unfortunately i was out and my wife's car is in the shop so we ordered delivery for a reason. Lost out on $50 plus tip over .5 miles. Food is average at best. Not many options around here so we would switch it up. One less place now. read more

They are SLOW, there is just no other way to describe it. There is much better pizza to be had in the area if you have the time to go to rt.125 (PPC). The subs are no better than any of the other local shops. Most places have better service. read more

We have been going here for 10 years but over the last few years, we have seen a decline in the quality of food and service. Burnt pizza, wrong items, and sometimes missing items altogether. Our kids ask for them whenever we say takeout but the last time they complained about the food. We want them to be successful and we are empathetic to current day challenges for employers and employees, so we keep supporting them. I don't want to feel bad about wanting consistently good food and service but I feel like they have started to deflect any concerns back on us. I don't think I have ever written a food review and hope this helps make a difference. C'mon Acios...you can do it! read more

Only reason for the 2 stars is because i can't lie and say that the spicy waffle fries i had them make for me with cheese and gravy wasn't bomb BUT The Turkey BLT i git was an absolute JOKE! It had ONE piece of bacon across the top and the turkey was dry, was only once slice of iceberg and 3 half's of a sliced tomato ... i can't believe i just paid 22 dollars for this. Second time I've come and I've had to wait an extra half hour to get food I had called in. Usually an overly patient person but this time I ordered a salad and a small pizza. When I go there 10 minutes later then the time they said it would be ready the food was still not ready. 15 minutes later my salad was ready and they realized my pizza hadn't been made yet. Pizza is good just a bit saucy at times. The salads in general are quite shy on content. Comparing a Dano's (Plaistow, NH) garden salad it is 50% less content/weight, add chicken Dano's includes a huge portion of marinated grilled chicken for less $. I suggest they order a Dano's garden salad w/Grilled chix and compare, HUGE difference. I've had the sausage minestrone soup and its has great flavor and ingredients but the summer squash peeler was off the day they made that batch. Everything I've had from them, delivery or take out, has been good. I like their margarita pizza (pesto instead of basil- smart move when good basil can be hard to get consistently) and buffalo chicken calzone. Haven't had anything I didn't like. On delivery they once forgot an item- we called and had it within minutes. I used to work in a pizza place- it's gets busy, it's unpredictable. They do a good job managing that which is hard to do AND keep prices low. Yeah, maybe they are short on delivery drivers sometimes, but if they overstaff, prices go up. Small little pizza/sub shop that makes specialty sandwiches and burgers as well as deserts. I had a double bacon cheeseburger with a friend egg on top with a lettuce wrap. The steak tip dinner with a side salad is laughable for the $12.95 price. You get more fries than steak. The steak is about the same portion as the salad and the side salad is way too small for the amount of dressing you get. This was my first time going there and the food was cold by the time it came to my door. Maybe I'll try something else next time just to give them another chance but that's it. read more

They always have great food. They are wheelchair accessible with a nice ramp at the back entrance and are very accommodating. My favorites are the Clucker Balls, the chicken parm calzones, and their Mac-N-cheese. Soooo good! Finish off with their brownies or grapnut custard! read more

I come up to Newton a few times a year to visit family and order from Acio's every time. My go-to is the Walker pizza. It's like a chicken ranch pizza with lettuce and tomato. My family and I love Acio's. It's the best pizza in town, but their cluckers are truly amazing. If you're not familiar, a clucker is... Chicken, Stuffing, & Mashed Potatoes breaded in panko crumbs then fried and topped with gravy & cranberry sauce. It is just heaven and I swear I could drink that gravy it's so darn delicious. I love this place! Best pizza around! If you haven't tried the Walker Pizza - do it!! The biggest treasure you'll find in Newton are the onion rings! The onion to breeding ratio is so spot on, I pretty much order them every time I'm in town! So many amazing dishes, the homemade Mac and cheese is to die for and even the salads are so flavorful! Over the last couple of years I've become quite the regular at Acios. Whenever I am in town I try and stop by. They have generous portions and always use fresh ingredients. My niece loves their pizza, But my personal favorites are the Cobb Salad and the famous Clucker Balls (chicken,stuffing,mashed potato, breaded in panko crumbs, fried, topped with gravy and cranberry sauce on the side). The food is good yet a bit pricey. I always get the feeling that I'm interrupting their day. Most times there is no greeting (especially if it's the owner at the counter). Once placing an order by phone they didn't want to know what type of dressing I wanted on the salad "we can do that when you get here and hung up", Really.......? Not a comfortable vibe so I usually drive 5 miles further to Dano's Pizza where I always get a smile and a thank you. As I read other reviews there is one constant theme.
