I recently found myself in a bind as our Audi had developed a leak in the vacuum system. As it turns out, this leak not only effected the way the car ran it also effected the braking system. I limped the car to Achtuning on an afternoon when they were swamped. Kelly at the front desk, realized the car was not in very good shape to drive, and was willing to lift the hood and quickly identified the problem. He ordered the replacement parts and got the car back in our hands. What an experience! I did some researching and found out that this guys have the wheels I've been wanting to have for my 2013 S4. I was hesitant at first, but after having conversation with their customer service rep, they're knowledgeable and friendly. Came in to get my Audi A4 flashed with APR Stage 1 and really happy with the results. My car responds like how it should without any issues. They took a little longer, 1hr and 15min versus the 50mins they quoted, but that was due to my car being an older model. They were great with explaining the different options with tuning and even gave some useful tips about my car unrelated to the tuning. Overall really nice guys that have experience in what they're doing! FYI: They have a comfortable lounge area for you to sit and watch TV, but there's not much in the surrounding neighborhood. read more

I have since gone back to Kelly maybe 2 times, and it wasn't because something was done incorrectly. I got Achtuning to install an AWE exhaust and 034 subframe mounts. No issues. I can tell that Kelly and the crew are very meticulous. They are fair in price and upfront about it as well. They stand behind their products and services. My opinion on them has not changed. I have a 2011 Audi S5. I've had these guys replace my brakes once and changed my oil a second time. They let me bring my own supplies and so only charged me labor. I thought they were priced competitively and I know it's done right since they seem to be a specialty Shop, especially for Audi cars, vs a random garage. All these reviews seem to be for folks who had existing issues needing a quick fix - but if you are a first-timer to modifying your car, beware of the following: Everything seemed to go ok at first for me, but the moment I became unsure and unhappy with the outcome (new suspension) things took a turn. Basically: If the outcome is not what you thought it would be, you may be met with argumentative and cocky sales tactics (try and avoid Zach in Online Sales) and may leave the building with them having all your money and a tough lesson learned with fear-based tactics from what seems like a fiercely protective owner (Bill), who acted as if I was attacking his own family when I mentioned I may have to seek legal help if they did not refund me and, unfortunately threatened me with a lawsuit in return for even more money. I wasn't going to do a review, but just feel like it's the right thing to do. I have rarely experienced anything like this from a business, except for the maybe old sketchy rental car places near small airports. Was surprised after reading the positive reviews. Perhaps I could've educated myself on car mod culture? Oh well, I'm out near $700, but according to the owner it could've been a lot more, so everything worked out fine....didn't it? read more

Response to ACHTunning's "rebut" of my previous post Well I won't spend much more time on this but the response to my earlier review by "Bill" the owner of this "shop" confirms the level of professionalism I rated them at. An unsatisfied customer is a "tantrum throwing child" according to this organization. I will just clarify a few points and be done with it: -Bill states that I did not provide them with an opportunity to find a solution. The time between the installation of the product and the installation of the OEM parts was a week. During this week I made somewhere around 10 to 15 calls to my contact there looking for a solution. The only solution provided to me was to go beyond full thread engagement on the adjustment of the product which the manufacturer would not stand behind (I contacted them directly and they said no way) in addition the very reputable shop I used for installation also said "no way". I am a mechanical engineer by trade and understand the properties of threads and would never go beyond full thread engagement on anything especially when it is a "life safety" load (again a confirmation of the technical expertise of this online store). -Regarding the "blackmail" comment. It was clear during our discussion that Bill felt like he had unlimited leverage in the debate and that I just had to accept his verdict (hence the abrasiveness I mentioned in my previous post). Well in 2011 consumers have the ability to communicate their experience with others (good or bad) and I wanted to remind him that this would be the case. At this point in the discussion I was well aware I was not going to be treated professionally and therefore my mention of posting my experience was not met to change his mind (which would be defined as blackmail) but simply to make him aware that my experience would be shared. I believe I have been respectful in the description of my experience. I feel offended by the fact that I am being called a tantrum throwing child simply because I have expressed my negative view of this company (as many others have on many other forums). This, once again confirms the type of organization ACHTunning has chosen to be (directly from the owner "Bill"); insulting unhappy customers. My recommendation is simple, if you choose to purchase from them do your research and do not rely on their "technical expertise" (I am apparently not the only one to feel this way). There are plenty of other sites out there which from my experience offer significantly better customer service and support. BTW: this experience cost me a total of $850 (labor and shipping the product back) which was a direct result of them selling me the wrong product for my needs. My request was for a refund of half this amount. I too take blame for relying on their recommendation. read more
