Several individual loads were incorrectly wired to the common meter, essentially forcing the building to subsidize private power. While other electricians were daunted--insisting on tearing open walls and ceilings just to give us a quote--F&A was incredibly methodical. They mapped out the entire situation quickly and developed a non-invasive approach that allowed them to rerun everything from the basement. Why they stand out: * Efficiency: They finished the entire remediation in a single day with minimal power outages and zero disruption to residents. * Problem Solvers: They also handled our sump pump battery backup installation, improving our original design after doing extensive due diligence on the equipment. * Professionalism: They showed up exactly when agreed, were highly communicative, and worked incredibly hard to get it right. This was easily one of the best experiences we've had with a contractor. If you have a complex electrical issue that others are afraid to touch, highly recommend F&A Enterprises! The price was also absolutely fair - and they 100% stuck to what was agreed in advance.

I believe this electrician is unlicensed and uninsured. He never showed me anything. He will overcharge you, do a terrible job and run away. Has no pride in his work. He will make up stories about not showing up with pictures of a flat tire but doesn't realize you can see the car and it's not even his car in the picture. He will take the cheap / shortcut route to most things and will override what you really want, I wanted outdoor lights done a certain way, this guy overrode my preference so he could install more lights and get more money. He was charging me by the light instead of his time, first indication of fraud. He came for a day, finished at like 10:50pm in pitch dark, left a bunch of garbage that I kept finding for two days afterwards around our property, then when I reached out, he would tell me he's coming in a day or so to fix the job, but kept making excuses to not show up including last day about a flat tire on a car that wasn't his, I could sense how this was going. He did outdoor lighting, left cables exposed everywhere, I told him, one of the kids playing we have trip over these and splash their head on a rock, that's a high liability for you and me, please fix, wouldn't do it. His lighting setup was complete joke, very immature work. I see another review from couple of months back with text posted, mine is similar, I'll post his text messages as well. On top of that, he genuinely ripped me off for a $1.5k at least, the work he did should not have been that much based on discussion with other electrician who came in after to fix his mess. If you hire him, you'll have to hire replacement electricians after to fix his mess. Very stubborn, unprofessional, untrustworthy and not good value. He literally bought indoor transformer, installed them as outdoor transformer to sneak them by me, these are not waterproof and literally put our family at risk as they can easily catch fire. Response to business response: I shopped around? I did not, I only rehired him after he had a repaired an outdoor light for us in 2025. Yep, everything worked for 1 day before it started breaking, great job! How about lying about car breaking down, similar to review posted 5 months ago from other user, I see pattern. How about garbage left everywhere? How about charging $110 per light when it's 10 mins of work? I can do these on my own now in under 15 mins and I'm hardly an electrician by trade. You matched the other quotes so there was no overcharge? Wow, that's some special logic. How do know of other quotes I received? Shouldn't it be whether you did work that is fair for the money charged. Your quote was higher, but your service was beyond terrible. Most other electricians charge per hour, $150-200 for first hour and then $100-150 per hour hour after, for 6 hours which you incurred including your hour trip to Home Depot, that's under $1,200 bucks basically. How about using indoor equipment in outdoor environment? To save on costs and people's live at risk if wiring caught fire from water. So many additional questions. You came back once more? Nope, lie. I checked everything? Yeah, at 10:50pm in pitch dark, I really did a thorough review. Smart guy here! Good to see you're alive, I tried to contact you several times to resolve, you never responded but you responded within minutes of this review. Great professional! Hire at your own risk!

Had Dan Knott work on my home today. It is a 1872 Victorian townhouse in Lambertville. As you can…read moreimage, the house had some incredible wiring issues. These are issues that have given me some sleepless nights. I was worried that they were unfix-able. Dan was able to fix each and every one. He re-wired a three-switch box that was crooked, recessed, and highly dangerous. Dan coated the wires with a fire safe material, pulled out the receptacles, and made that plate as straight as could be. I had no idea you could do that with old, fabric-lined wiring and drywall. He made it look darn good. He also fixed the wiring in the mantle. This was a circa 1970s mess. He rebuilt the casing behind the wall, drilled the concrete floor, and hid that outlet perfectly. He also changed 3-4 receptacles pretty quickly. Dan had all the tools/supplies he needed. No running out to the local supply store like most have. He arrived on time. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and very informative about this old house. Yet, the best part about this experience was that Dan is a nice guy. Must have storytelling in his genes? He had me laughing. That is what you should expect when someone comes to work on your home. A pleasant person to engage with. Who wants grumpy, non-engaging, Mr. creepy to work on your home? Dan is a pleasure to work with and a good conversationlist. He made it less harrying particularly with the cost too. Even though he took the time to explain my wiring issues and told me some funny, interesting stories, he never charge me extra for his time. This was a unexpected surprise. The billing experience at the end was painless. So if you want to make what could be a really boring, harrying experience into a successful story, call Dan. You will be utterly delighted.

I so wanted to like these guys as they came highly recommended by my wonderful realtor, who had…read morealso been a contractor in his previous career. After moving into our new home, I called them with a very specific list of things we needed doing. It wasn't until the appointment was over that I was told that they wouldn't be able to do everything on the list today (connecting overhead lights) and I'd have to make a follow-up appointment. Fair enough, but whenever I tried to call Fred I was fobbed off and this has been happening for about two to three weeks now! Last week, I was told that they don't make appointments that far in advance and that he'd call me this week to make an appointment for this week. Well, as I had yet to receive any kind of call-back from him and had been forced to chase him up from day 1 (including getting someone to make the first appointment!) I called him early this week only to be promised that he couldn't promise me he could fit me in this week (even though he had promised me that last week!!) and would call me that evening. I told him politely that I really needed to get these things done as I had been waiting for quite a while already and if I needed to get another electrician in, I'd like to know that now. Well, sure enough, no call came. I would like to say that I was very happy with the electrician who came for the original appointment. I'm not an electrician myself, so can't really judge the quality of workmanship, but we haven't had any problems since. So in terms of expertise, I'm sure these guys can't be faulted. However, I understand that Fred is apparently very popular and very busy, but I'm rather angry at the rude way in which I've been treated. I honestly have better things to do with my time than chase up a contractor I'm going to be paying a not insignificant hourly wage to do a job for me! It is also beyond me why he isn't able to make appointments in advance because we recently called a plumber and had to wait a few weeks also before he could come out, but at least we were able to make an appointment. This gentleman has wasted my time and lost my business. I was more than patient as I don't like to nag people and realize that they sometimes have other matters to attend to, so I waited a week for him to call me back each time and he never did! This is extremely unprofessional and disorganized. I was nothing but polite and did not deserve this shoddy treatment. Indeed, if I treated my business customers this way, they would not put up with that either and when I told my realtor what had happened he also understood why I will be going with someone else in future. I really wanted to go with Fred as I had heard such great things about him, but I can't afford to put myself through this stressful rigmarole every bloody time. Again, I'm sure his work can't be faulted and he seems polite enough on the phone, but having to chase a guy up this much to even make an appointment is quite simply unacceptable. This review represents my subjective opinion based on my personal experience.
