If you want a proper and well-done dash cam installation, then AceDashCam is it. I was able to experience in person why Aaron's business has a 5 star rating. He is communicative, responsive, does great work, and he explains what he did very, very well. I drove about one hour (one way), and it was definitely worth it! After browsing reddit and seeing a handful of dash cam videos, I figured it would be good to protect myself by installing a dash cam (front and back) for my car. Originally, I had planned to install the dash cams myself. However, I realized that I would prefer to have it properly done because I didn't trust myself to conceal the wires but also not accidentally interfere with the airbags just in case they were to ever deploy. After doing a search on reddit and Yelp, AceDashCam seemed to have consistently positive feedback. Of course, one always has to be a healthy skeptic in terms of discerning whether or not a business is worth its rating in gold. Still, the reviews seemed to mention specific reasons why the business was good, so I decided to inquire via Yelp to ask for a quote and availability. I had already purchased a dash cam on Amazon (VIOFO A229Pro, since it seemed to be highly recommended on reddit), so I was just looking for Aaron to install the dash cam. He also offers two models of dash cam for purchase (which I thought were reasonably priced). Because I already had the dash cam, I ask Aaron for a quote. After providing additional information (e.g., year/make/model of car; type of car - sedan, hatchback, SUV, etc.; any hardwiring necessary for parking mode, etc.), he provided me with a quote and mentioned that he would be available at my requested day/time if I was still interested. He also mentioned that since I wanted the dash cam hardwired for parking mode (i.e., for the camera to continue operating while parked), I would need to purchase a hardwire kit. He was kind enough to link me to the Amazon product page for that. I showed up, and he was there to greet me right on time. At first, I was not sure if I was in the right area. It is located in a sort of industrial park/area. However, the GPS directions were accurate (I used Google Maps) and there is a decal on the window of the business. I got there in the morning, and Aaron came out to greet me. After Aaron explained a few things, I let him go to work. Aaron said the work would take three hours, and it did take just about three hours. When I returned to pick up my car, he explained everything thoroughly. He even mentioned that since my car is structured in a way that he did not have to use as much cabling as he originally thought, he did not charge me extra for an extra long cable to connect the rear cam. That kind of integrity and honesty is refreshing! He also explained a few quirks about my car as they relate to the dash cam, so those things were really good to know. Can you find cheaper places to do the work? I'm sure you can, but I doubt they would do work that is as high quality and thorough as Aaron does. I now understand why people make an appointment and drive more than an hour to have him do the work. I will gladly refer my friends and family to Aaron if they need any dash cam work done. This place deserves its 5 stars! Note: While you are waiting for installation to finish, the only thing that is decently close to the business is a cafe/restaurant (Risen Bakery and Grill). My appointment was at 9:00 AM on a Friday, and the cafe wasn't open until 10:00 AM. There's also a Walmart and a few places to eat (I saw a Del Taco) maybe about a mile up the road as well, but that is obviously further away (unlike Risen Bakery and Grill which is almost just across the street). Very good service and got exactly what I needed. I needed a dashcam that had parking mode and Aaron helped me decide between blackvue and thinkware. Ultimately settled with thinkware and bought it through him for convenience. He installed it in about 3 hours, and it seems like it was meticulously done. Ive gotten it done at Best Buy before but I wanted the reassurance that the cables wouldn't interfere with the airbags. He then showed me how to use the app and was very patient with my questions during this and after. Very happy with the service and convenience. Will def recommend him to my family and friends. My sister recently got into a car accident which helped me make my decision to get a dashcam installed in my 2024 Lexus plugin hybrid. I had contacted Aaron last October 2020 trying to get some information on dash cams. He suggested BlackVue being one of the best cams out there. So I did some research and looked at online reviews and ended up liking it. Then time went on and I totally forgot about getting it because you know kids and work (which takes up all of my time and life). I searched a long time for the right person to do my dual-channel dashcam installation and I am THRILLED that I chose Aaron at AceDashcam. His shop was over an hour from me, but was still worth the trips (I ended up going a second time to have him add a battery for parking mode). When I first bought the dash cam (I got the blackvue 970), I figured I could install it myself--but once I received it, I realized that I was out of my league. Not only did Aaron do an amazing job with the cam install, but he also fixed a wiring issue that I had created with my radar detector, where I had run the wiring down the A-pillar in front of the airbag.
