I needed to take out 2 redwoods in my backyard. Ace Tree Service was one of the companies that came out to bid the job. Dylan was professional, courteous and on time. He quickly looked over what needed to be done and provided a quote a few hours later. The quote was really competitive with other companies. Dylan clearly notated what they will do and the final price. We scheduled a time for them to come out and do the job. Dylan and the crew showed up on the scheduled day on time and ready to begin the work. They are truly professionals at what they do. The two redwoods were taken down within an hour and they also did stump grinding on both trees. Cleaned up the area and left it without any debris. Overall they are phenomenal. We have a huge Sycamore tree in our backyard that needed a thorough trimming and a Raywood Ash tree in our front yard did not appear healthy. We requested bids from a variety of tree companies and decided to go with Ace Tree Service because of their detailed inspection of the trees, their plan of action for getting the job done, and their concise and knowledgeable answers to our tree questions. Ace Tree Service (Dylan) beautifully trimmed our Sycamore tree. We have had it trimmed in the past but no tree service went to such heights as Dylan did. It was amazing watching him. You could tell he took pride in making sure to clean up the tree by removing limbs, dead wood and suckers all the while making sure to leave a balanced symmetrical tree. Our tree has never looked this good. It was what we had hoped for in the past tree trimmings we paid for, but never got. Dylan didn't just use a pole saw, like other tree trimmers. He climbed to the top of the tree and cleaned it up. They also removed our Raywood Ash tree from our front yard and ground the stump deep enough to get the main root cluster out completely, making planting our next tree much easier. It should also be noted that the crew completely cleaned the grounds after each day of work. removed a 60 ft Calif Redwood tree in 90 minutes. Chipped all branches. Amazing clean up. Dylan provided the quote and his knowledge of trees was evident. He indicated the tree was healthy and he said we did not need to cut it down for concern of imminent falling, We decided to cut it down due to the roots being invasive to our drainage and piece of mind of future worries during storms. TL;DR - Dylan and the team at Ace Tree Service are amazing and should be your go-to tree people! Longer story: I got multiple bids from 5-6 tree experts through yelp's project service, and Ace Tree Service provided a competitive quote. Not only that, but Dylan is very professional and him and Lacey are very well organized and thorough, with great communication and touch points throughout. They seem to be one of the few that are responsive on all platforms (Yelp messaging, email, text, etc.), and whatever CRM they're using is well worth it. They were fairly busy and were booked out for a few weeks, but since I wasn't in a rush, happy to accommodate their next opening. They sent email reminders for the upcoming service and the day of, showed up on time and ready to go. Their entire team was very professional and pleasant to work with, and they did a fantastic job not only with the tree trimming (multiple queen and fan palm trees), and ivy bush removal, and also cleaned up all the debris (there was alot!) and left the place looking 1000x better than when they showed up. I really appreciated their quality work, clean-up and professionalism (palms look fantastic, they cleaned up a sloppy job from previous/unrelated tree trimmers in the past), and they are a team that show that they care about their craft. Any notion I initially had of doing some of the work myself went completely out the window when I saw the entire skilled team working the way they did. I decided to choose Ace Tree Service to remove two trees in my front yard after having five different quotes. Dylan provided the best value, by far, out of all the companies. When he was out, he was very professional and even managed to come to my property to provide a quote in the later afternoon on a Saturday during a big game day. We arranged the time for the removal over the phone/by email and he kept me informed on the dates regularly, making sure I was aware of any COVID-related delays in a timely fashion. On the day they arrived, the trees took only an afternoon to remove, and the stumps were ground down and filled to grade. I wasn't at home when they arrived, but my neighbor sent me updates and the crew appeared to do a very professional job. When I came home, the chips from the grinder were well removed and the holes from the stumps were not overly large by any means. I wish I could give this business 10 stars. I needed to find a company that would remove two large camphor trees from my mom's front yard. We called this company and Dylan came out surveyed the situation and provided a quote the same day. I was impressed at the thoroughness of his review of the situation. He identified that there were sprinklers in the lawn in areas that could potentially mean that sprinkler pipes could be damaged during the stump removal. He alerted us to this possibility so we could make an informed decision. We proceeded with a full understanding of the risks. None of the other companies who quoted the job mentioned anything about potential underground pipe damage. When they performed the job, they were on time, efficient, and cleaned up thoroughly after they completed the job. The price was also better than the other companies who quoted the job. Ace tree service was great. The crew spent the day pruning my oak trees and removing an olive tree and cedar tree. They also tackled a massive branch on my neighbors eucalyptus and got the dangerous branch down so it was no longer endangering my house. Dylan came out at the scheduled time for a quote on my tree pruning and cutting job. He was knowledgeable and not high pressure at all. His quote was very fair so I scheduled the work. We had live oaks growing next to/over the roof where our solar panels were recently installed and I was concerned about debris from the trees damaging our panels as they were removed. They used a bucket truck and carefully removed the branches so that nothing fell on my panels as they took the trees down. Dylan actually did the pruning on my ornamental trees himself. They turned out balanced and beautiful, he clearly knows what he's doing. In the past I've had tree removal and the person who came out seemed very knowledgeable but was not there for the actual work. With Ace Tree Dylan was on the job and doing the technical work himself.
