Ace has never missed a pick up in all these years! Their prices are also very good and have not increased much.

I've been with ACE for many years, and although the prices have increased (just like EVERYTHING else), I still wouldn't ever switch. So many times over the last couple years dealing with cancer treatments, I've forgotten to put out my cans, and my ACE driver ALWAYS went out of his way to grab them for me. During a recent snowstorm, he even got out and tried to help my teenager get the snowblower started! The level of service of going above and beyond, is what will always keep me as an ACE customer. After over 10 years as a customer - I cancelled my trach service - all I have left is my recycling can. I had mixed results with ACE, mostly good over the years. When I had an account and when I never changed anything, my service was good and consistent. Whenever I changed anything, they couldn't get it right and it was like a 3 Stooges movie. And customer service was bad (see details below). I'm being generous and calling them out as 3 stars. GOOD: 1. Service is good if you never change anything. 2. The cost is competitive with other trash companies like Waste Management and Randy's Sanitation. 3. The weekly truck drivers were always really nice to us. The front line workers were cool. BAD: 1. I switched to 2 large cans for the summer and they brought the extra cans - twice! The billing was wrong too. They kept charging me the wrong amount. 2. I switched to 1 small can and they came to pick-up the old cans - twice! And they kept charging me the wrong amount - again. Disorganized. 3. They wouldn't answer the customer service number so I got frustrated and drove to their office (one block south of Bunker Boulevard). They called a manager to reprimand me when I used the word "b*llsh*t" to describe their crappy phone customer service. For a garbage company, I thought they were a little overly sensitive about such a mild, milk toast word. Apparently, using the word "b*llsh*t" is "abusive" according to ACE Solid Waste. Goofy. 4. The recycling truck driver dude wrote me a warning for putting a 30 pound chunk of aluminum (from my old AC condenser) in my big recycling can. He told me recycling is only for "clean" household waste and I should go to Alter Metals and get money for it. I told him I just gave ACE cash money (the aluminum), its equivalent to 100s of stupid soda cans, I don't want money for it, I just want it to go to the right place and get recycled. Apparently, they don't want to pick-up anything that's worth money. Silly. 5. I left a bad review on Yelp and they actually went to the trouble of complaining to Yelp Headquarters in San Francisco, California and they had my review removed! Thanks for trampling my freedom of speech, ACE. For a garbage company, I thought they were a little overly sensitive about criticism. And I thought they were a little insensitive to my freedom of speech. Not cool. 6. Wining to Yelp in San Francisco was the last straw. I cancelled my service. And they came to pick-up my old can - twice - again! Still disorganized. Summoning a manager to criticize me about the word "b*llsh*t" and calling Yelp headquarters to cancel my critical review tells you everything you want to know about this company. Don't deal with this Company! They won't even answer the phone to deal with issues. I have called about a dozen times over a few days and all you get is recordings. I called today to resume our yard waste service that we had to temporarily discontinue as my husband was out of work and we were trying to cut our expenses down. This was the only season we haven't used yard waste. I was told they weren't taking "New customers" for yard waste. We have been a customer for 22 years. So they refused to resume our service. I told the person we would be switching to a "new service provider" because of the unwillingness to meet our needs. WE ARE VERY UPSET AND DISSAPPOINTED!!!!!! Rates randomly change and go up for no reason. When I emailed to ask if I could sign a contract or pay in advance I was met with a pretty snarky rude response from their customer service rep comparing their services to phone and internet. I have had them for more than 2 years, price has gone up many times. I just wanted a standard rate so I wouldnt be blindsided again with another large jump. Would have continued paying even at the new price but since they can't speak to their customers professionally I'm looking elsewhere. Garbage usually picked up reliably but no transparency in billing and no professionalism in answering questions. read more

Finally had to cancel service with Ace due to them constantly raising prices. I get that the economy, gas prices, and inflation is happening but going from 35$ bimonthly, to 50$, then 60$, and then 75$ over a year is just ridiculous. save yourself some time and check out a sales rep called Tracy Macon over at curbside. read more

I have been a customer of Ace Solid Waste for over 20 years. Every year the level of service has gotten worse and the cost increases. Not only the level of service is quite poor, but their customer service is unresponsive and unhelpful. As soon as our neighborhood contract is up i will ending my service with them. They do not care about their customers. read more

I really like the drivers. Always friendly, they don't have a lot of time to chat, but I always get a smile and a wave.

I paid a year in advance for my services with a solid waste and a bill came due at the end of the year wasn't aware of it missed it probably my fault. Paid the bill on the weekend online driver still didn't show up on Monday by noon. I was told I would get picked up the following Monday. Put extra bags outside again did not shit show up. Spoke to three customer service rep stating that I'd get picked up today July 3. Did not full of garbage in our duplex. I will never go back to a solid waste again. They said they had their services streamlined to give better customer service and they truly haven't changed management and customer service starts at the top. read more

I would never use this garbage service due to the fact that they are dishonest and have no problem overcharging you. I have had service from ace for over 5 years and I was late one time and they took my garbage cans. This is not how you do business, you take care of your loyal customers. I have had to fight for my money back on numerous occasions but for some reason stuck with them through it. I will be using another garbage provider because these guys are trash! If you like getting the run around and ripped off these are your type of folks, but If you don't like being scammed, look for another garbage provider. I have been a customer of Ace for 2 years. They have always done a good job in picking garbage, recycle items and yard waste...and of course accepting my payment. Recently though they have litterly dropped the ball in the yard waste category. Two weeks in a row they have failed to pick up the leaf bags, but are quick to provide an excuse...short drivers, truck broke, etc. I say don't charge me for a service you can't provide. I have talked to neighbors and they all feel the same. I won't be using the yard waste service next year and will probably change to a competitor. read more

Sorry for the misunderstanding below. Turns out the truck I saw was only collecting from "green lid" cans (yard waste). I was not aware of the difference. They did pick up our trash at the expected time after all. We have been customers of ACE for many years and have always paid our bill. Suddenly this morning they came by 2 hours earlier than they ever have before with no warning. Now we are stuck having to store a week's worth of trash in our garage. We will be looking to switch companies. read more

Ace has dishonest business practices. The sales person that came to my door never mentioned the $149.00 fee to cancel before 2 years. I'm stuck with them now. I would never recommend this service. I'd give a zero if I could. read more

I changed trash collectors due to Ace Solid Waste's undependable service, poor communication, and poor management. I pay for yearly yard waste pickup that includes a weekly bin and up to 15 bags of yard waste. Its late fall and Ace Solid Waste has not picked up lawn waste bags for the last three weeks and have provided no communication or remedy. The first week Ace Solid Waste's said it was Halloween and they wanted to get their trucks off the road before trick or treating started. Okay I understand but the next week again no yard bags picked up and no notice/communication. I called and Ace Solid Waste said both bag collection trucks are broken and won't be in service until mid-week. Ace Solid Waste said they were not planning to go back and pick up missed bags or increase the 15 bag limit in following weeks. Third week its snows 3" and Ace Solid Waste sent an email notice that they are running late - never showed up to pick up bags. What does late mean? Spring? I now had 45 bags of leaves that I hauled myself. I know there is a labor shortage so I helped them out, I switched trash collectors so they can better service their remaining customers. read more

If I could give zero Stars I would. This company could not give a damn less about people. They lie directly to you knowing that they are lying! They destroyed my can almost 3 weeks ago and told me I had to wait 2 weeks until the 2nd next collection time to replace it! If that wasn't bad enough, I even called them the Wednesday before the day they were supposed to replace it. They didn't replace it that day on Thursday, they didn't replace it on Friday, they were closed all weekend, they didn't replace it on Monday!! Four calls to this company now and they've lied to me all four times! They don't give a damn about what they say to their customers, they don't answer their phone on time, keep you on hold forever, and then lie to you to get you off the phone. I even told them I was going to bring the can into their facility and put it on their desk if they didn't replace it! Their responses at their facility is closed and people are working out of their own houses! What an unprofessional, lousy, stupid, uncaring, unprofessional, unbusiness like, and unsatisfactory company! These people are terrible and horrible! read more
