Just happened upon this place when we went for lunch at Royal Bamboo next store on Christmas Eve…read more (Actually, we did not know either business was there.) Kind of hard to find; the building faces Coit, but is set back some distance from the street. Pull in at the Post Office, and drive toward the buildings in the rear. However, when you do find it, and go in to the store, you will likely experience jaw drop! The store is so much bigger than it appears from the outside. Aisle, after aisle, after aisle of just really neat stuff. There are large, industrial kitchen things; but there is also a ton of really wonderful things for any small restaurant, or even home cooks, as well. Just wandered around for about 30 minutes in awe. Possibly not the most tidy store in the world, (the entry area is kind of weird) but that is a small issue, really. Staff was very friendly at checkout, but did not hover at all as I browsed. I have been a big fan of restaurant supply stores for many years (home cook, not in the business). I have been to probably every store in Dallas and Collin counties over the past 3 decades, and I do not recall any store being as much fun to explore as this one. Prices seemed as good, or maybe even better, than other stores of the sort. Go check them out!

Dozen of roses at Target the same day is $20, $16 at Sam's, $17 at Tom Thumb etc. and the quality is better since you can see all thru clear packaging. The roses I got here had some that didn't look great underneath the packaging. Baby's breath is very low quality, lots of broken branches . The vase is very thin and low quality, it broke when I put the flower bunches in and walked out the shop, walked back in to tell them and they told me to wait for a bit, stood there for 15 mins while they kept checking people out and ignored me. Finally I had to come up and ask again about the vase, they said it was fine when the lady checked me out so they can't do anything about it. If that's their policy, wish they just told me upfront instead of making me stand there and wait for nothing. If you want vases, Tom Thumb has better selection and better quality for the same price range. If you need wholesale roses, check Sam's Club website out, they have good varieties of rose (about $1/rose) and can ship to your house. (and if the flowers don't look good, Sam's will replace or refund for you, much better service)

You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves…read more We Bought the wire stand and candles to keep the catering trays warm for our group event Returned them within 24 hours The first lady laughed and referred our group member to her supervisor. The supervisor stated that they do not return small items (i.e. small purchases) We asked her where is that written because the note at the register states they allow returns within 30 days Then supervisor said that she would return but keep 25% for restocking fee I told her, now you've given two different stories in less than 5 minutes... which one is true. I offered to place the items back on the shelf (would have taken less than on minute) but she said .. .that's not what restocking fee means and then referred to large purchases (my return would have been approx. $100) I advised the supervisor that I'm not giving her $25 for nothing and left store asking her 'Is your business that desperate for money?' So at what point does anyone care about A. Being honest B. Not blatantly making up rules C. Customer service D. Overall wanting repeat business. If you love food and kitchen stuff, many useful home needs can be met here in a fun, creative way. And also, anyone baking out of their home for small business could benefit from the quality and cost. I was lead here randomly because I saw they offered restaurant quality baby high-chairs (you know those wooden ones). I hate the plastic over $100 ones they sell in mainstream stores, the legs are cheap and annoying. I love the simplicity and effectiveness and style of restaurant quality high-chairs so was able to get these brand new in box for $25. I am so thrilled. The man working there was super helpful even though I am not a huge buyer, he helped me find a good deal on plates and bowls. He was a great man to help me. I will definitely be back to buy more kitchen utensils and cooking equipment. I should have bought some pitchers and coffee stainless steel creamer pourers, but I didn't have much time, I'll be back to the store soon.

First you answer a questionnaire online and if you qualify, you schedule a time to come in. You're not going to qualify for everything. Sometimes you are taste testing something, sometimes you are just picking something up, once I came in to test all kinds of plastic wrap. Occasionally they'll have health and beauty products to take home and test, as well. To get started, you fill out screening questionnaires online to see if qualify for any upcoming studies. If you do meet the criteria, time slots are given at the end of the survey for you choose a date and time in which to participate. Then comes the fun part. You show up, eat or drink new products and give your opinion on them. Payments are sent via email within a couple days in the form of a prepaid visa card. You can use it immediately as a virtual card or request a physical version that will be mailed to you. Sound simple enough? It is! And it's awesome!!! *UPDATE* Even if you don't qualify for studies you can still get paid for filling out screening questionnaires by earning points for each one you complete. As of now, it's 10 points per questionnaire. 100 points equals $1 with a minimum of 1000 in order to cash them out for a visa gift card. In all the years that I've been a panelist for Curion they have never missed a single payment, whether it's for participating in a study or redeeming points. Even late payments are extremely rare. My friends and family members, who are also panelists, haven't had any issues either. So, it's a real mystery to me why there are reviews (here and outside of Yelp) with complaints about payments.
