For those who aren't familiar with this place, it's a facility where they primarily conduct taste tests for market research purposes. Occasionally they'll have health and beauty products to take home and test, as well. To get started, you fill out screening questionnaires online to see if qualify for any upcoming studies. If you do meet the criteria, time slots are given at the end of the survey for you choose a date and time in which to participate. Then comes the fun part. You show up, eat or drink new products and give your opinion on them. Payments are sent via email within a couple days in the form of a prepaid visa card. You can use it immediately as a virtual card or request a physical version that will be mailed to you. Sound simple enough? It is! And it's awesome!!! *UPDATE* Even if you don't qualify for studies you can still get paid for filling out screening questionnaires by earning points for each one you complete. As of now, it's 10 points per questionnaire. 100 points equals $1 with a minimum of 1000 in order to cash them out for a visa gift card. In all the years that I've been a panelist for Curion they have never missed a single payment, whether it's for participating in a study or redeeming points. Even late payments are extremely rare. My friends and family members, who are also panelists, haven't had any issues either. So, it's a real mystery to me why there are reviews (here and outside of Yelp) with complaints about payments. read more

I've been coming into Curion for years. It is fun trying out new stuff and giving your opinion. The facility is clean and it rarely takes as long as it is scheduled for. First you answer a questionnaire online and if you qualify, you schedule a time to come in. You're not going to qualify for everything. Sometimes you are taste testing something, sometimes you are just picking something up, once I came in to test all kinds of plastic wrap. I've been a tester at Curion for quite a few years now, and never thought of reviewing them, but after being greeted promptly and in a friendly manner by their exceptional receptionist Natasha, I felt the need. This facility is spotless and clean, the process is easy and organized, and payment in the form of a virtual Visa card or Amazon gift card arrives in a few days. Don't waste your time trying to hustle with this company. I get an invites to participate all the times and when I log on and answer a by chi of questions I was never selected. The questions are long and redundant and then you don't get selected so it's super frustrated. To compensate for your time they will give you 5 points. Such a scam! read more

I highly do not recommend ever using this service. All of the reps are very rude and I've gone to more than one review so I was very disappointed with the service. Even asking a simple question they act as if you don't exist. It's ridiculous. Basic courtesy is free. It's also a big inconvenience when you get a location That is not at the Irving office and they're rude there as well. The hotel staff was nice but the rep wasn't. read more

This place has changed dramatically since I first started attending. It used to be a fun place to visit. Ever since Tasha became the receptionist, there has been turmoil. The line to check in is now constantly long interrupting the time to actually take the study. She pesters and antagonizes consumers when her job is just to check them in. Most of the studies are not worth the time spent coming in. They take weeks to pay the small incentives offered and sometimes you have to remind them they owe you. Peryam & Knolls has higher incentives and better consumer ratings and value their consumers more. Initial service request are barely responded to, and when they do, it is not the service requested. You spend majority of the time messaging a bot. Don't waste your time. You will be thoroughly disappointed. read more

Have been here several times for taste tests and the staff are always so nice and it is easy to get in and out. I like that you can access and qualify for taste tests online, so you are able to set up and confirm appointments based on your schedule. Also, it is centrally located in Irving off of George Bush, so no matter where you may be in the metroplex it is easy to get to! read more

I have done MANY focus groups. None of them being this awful of an experience. I did an online focus group where they sent me hair products and NEVER GOT PAID. I had concerns and sent several emails with NO RESPONSE. Definitely would not recommend, so no one else shares this same experience. read more

I have to give this place an additional star for trying to make things right. On our next visit- they had brought in the sound people overnight so the sound quality was much better. As for the Internet- they never did get the wireless working but they got about 20 hard wired lines so we did have Internet but it was cumbersome. And finally- on the last day- they brought pizza in for dinner. Well- for this "no gluten no cheese" girl that was a disaster. I was hoping for a salad but there was no protein in the place. But the manager, Theresa, took it all in stride once she learned of my dilemma. She pulled out some menus and sent someone to get me some food I could eat. Much appreciated given it was 7pm at night and I was starving. This is never going to be my favorite place for research, but the fact that they tried to fix what was wrong goes a long way in my book! read more

Pays good for surveys.. only disappointed is not being paid cash once survey completed. You have to wait up to 48 hrs and then choose option for online debit card, which is activated immediately or mailed debit card, which takes up to 10 business days to receive.. but over all great place to make quick cash. read more

I've had pretty good experiences with them, although it is kind of unfortunate that we have to wait so long for payment. The customer service is anxiety inducing for someone like me. As soon as I walk in there's one or two employees just staring at me like I'm not supposed to be there. No one greets me or guides me to take my temperature, they just watch me. After I finish with the temperature machines to the left, I walk up to the desk and still dude doesn't greet me. He asks if I'm there for a study, my name, and then tells me I made it too late. It was my fault, I left the house later than I should've. But I drove 30 minutes back home and answered more surveys to qualify for another study. 8/10 times I make it through the entire survey, and it ends up telling me there are no times available. So I feel like I'm doing surveys without compensation. read more

I have been doing taste tests for them for the last 2 years. They used to be very organized and prompt. The past 3 times I've been, the tests start 20-30 mins late and I waited for over 30 minutes just to check in. The line was crazy!! Not sure if it's worth the drive if this keeps up. read more
