He was very kind, offering great cooking suggestions and conversation. He really knew his stuff, not only about his offerings but the local food scene in Philly. We were not in the market for some of his industrial cooking equipment such as deep fryers, meat slicers, ovens and wood fire pizza gear and such, but my daughter who is obsessed with cooking BEGGED to stop in. We were pleasantly surprised to find some fun cooking gadgets, utensils and food prep equipment in the back...at a steal, too! We bought a 6 pack of plastic squeeze bottles for oils and icings cheaper than buying them one at a time any where else! We bought ladles in a few sizes...some small enough for pancake mix dropping and others for hot pots at home. A really nice variety! We bought heavy duty spatulas and large brushes for marinating. The goods were excellent quality you won't see at big box stores and I'm still so impressed with the prices! It's definitely worth checking them out if you're even the slightest bit into cooking. We felt like kids in a candy store. There's a few 30 minutes loading zones in the area and one directly out front. They do take cards, even for the smaller purchase and the cashier was also very welcoming and kind. A fun stop I can see making again! We love, and are having fun cooking with everything we bought!

When I questioned the cashier she asked if I was a member and I said no. Her reply was we ran out of sign up sheets or I would sign you up. Well, guess what---not that it matters to anyone but I guess they won't get my business anymore. I worked in customer service for 30 ish years for a major chemical company and I gave excellent customer service and expect it in return. It must have been a weak moment for me as I left with the gloves at the original price. I normally would have left them there . Garden gloves are not a hard to find item. Also, I will give the gentleman that checked on us the benefit of the doubt...question is Was he checking on us to make sure we were purchasing or really wanted to know if he could help us find something....Even through I had the item to purchase in my hand at the time. A few days after the order I realized I had made a mistake - I ordered a dual fuel wood/natural gas oven, when I actually needed dual fuel wood/propane. I called and spoke to Luca who immediately made the change in their system. The oven was delivered the next day and the delivery person was extremely courteous and helpful. Again, I made another mistake. I forgot to order the stand to put the pizza oven on. I called Luca again and he took payment for the stand and offered to waive the FedEx costs since I paid for assembly initially. That would have been great customer service already, but to go a step further, Luca called me back and said they would put it on a truck and deliver it that same day. Such a great experience!
