There are always helpful, hospitable folks to us tourists-- even if just one minute until closing time.

    Nags Head Hammocks - Hammocks

    Nags Head Hammocks

This review is purely for customer service. I purchased a swing and stand. After receiving my…read moreitems, I waited for a beautiful spring day to assemble it. Unfortunately, I found out not all pieces and hardware for the stand were in the box. I called customer service to get replacement pieces and was told they do not sell that stand anymore due to safety issues and they have no extra parts. I then asked if they had the specifications of the hardware so I could source them myself, again no. I asked what the safety issue was with the stand and was told they don't know. Between the swing, stand and accessories, I am well over $800. For that price the only thing I got as 'no' and have a nice day.

There are several locations in the Outer Banks. Nags Head Hammocks has some of the most…read morecomfortable outdoor furniture ever. There inventory is not limited to hammocks at all. They have super comfortable single person swings, double swings, chairs, bar stools and tables to match. The seats in the swings are netting like you would find in a hammock although they also have cushioned swings and chairs. The products are made in the USA and seem to be very high quality. The woman that helped us was extremely friendly and helpful. She encouraged us to try the different products to find what worked best for us. They were ALL very comfortable. We ended up purchasing a net double person swing with footrest. I can't wait to get this hung up for spring.

This place does not sell junk either. This place has high-end merchandise at fair prices. Rarely do we leave empty handed. We love visiting this place every year.

For starters, I like that The Cotton Gin in Corolla, located in the Timbuck II shopping center, is reminiscent of the flagship store in Jarvisburg. There is definitely something unique and inviting about the big red barn-like building. Back in the day The Cotton Gin had a heavy emphasis on cotton linens but now it is more of a gift store. While most of the store probably appeals to women, I am able to keep my husband busy while I shop. The Cotton Gin sells men's clothing, kitchen supplies, candy and other things that occupies his time while I leisurely stroll the multi-level store. For me, I enjoy taking my time perusing all of the goodies at The Cotton Gin like postcards, art prints, scented soaps, books, souvenirs, home décor, jewelry, Christmas ornaments and such. This is just a handful of examples of the diverse inventory at The Cotton Gin. The Cotton Gin advertises in the Sunny Day magazine so check that out if you are looking for coupons.
