As an electrical contractor I have used ace hardware in Bisbee since it opened. I was in a transaction with the cashier. I was asked to turn off my music because it was too loud and she couldn't hear the person in back. I gestured" what" and told her.I couldn't hear it. The employee..(bell) ..in back decide it would be appropriate to step out and call me a duche bag as im leaving I contacted kathy the owner. She decided it was acceptable and asked me to return to the store (when bell and Beth are available) to accept an apology. If I could select a lower rating, I would. Perhaps the worst example of competence and customer service existent in Southern Arizona. Incompetent assistants and exceedingly poor customer interface. Surely/snarky customer backtalk, reminiscent of "only-game-in-town" monopolistic, "you need us more than we need you" endeavors. No wonder most people in Bisbee would rather drive half-an-hour to Sierra Vista or Douglas to fulfill their hardware requirements, than endure the staff at Bisbee Ace Hardware. read more

I have been shopping at ACE on Naco highway for several years and have always found the staff friendly, polite, helpful and they know their stock! The large box stores are unable to deliver the service ACE does. read more

I had a badly damaged window screen and thought I'd have to purchase an entire new screen and had no clue where to go. I called Ace here in Bisbee and they assured me that if the frame was not damaged they could simply put new screening into the frame. I took it over, paid less than $14.00 and was told it might be done in 7-10 days. Lo and behold....it was done the very next day. MANY thanks to all of you at Bisbee Ace. You're the BEST!! read more

When I bought a house in Bisbee, and I noticed the ACE hardware was just a few blocks away I thought awesome. I'm a regular there and they usually have what I need and all the people are very friendly and helpful and helpful. Plus there prices are really good. read more

This store is a lifesaver and a Bisbee gem. I can get most basics and saves me from having to travel 40 minutes to Sierra Vista! it's well maintained, clean, and the staff is ALWAYS kind, friendly, and helpful. The screw and fastener department is by far the best I've ever seen. Paints are good too, along with the garden section. read more

So goes the jingle: "Ace is the place for the helpful hardware man". Not in Bisbee. I recently called in advance for a common plumbing item to connect a garbage disposal to the p-trap. The young man answering the phone hadn't a clue what I was requesting. I went in to see for myself. He had set aside 2 pieces of "sanitary connectors" which were rubber connectors unusable for my purpose. After scouring the shelves, I located 2 parts that might have worked. They didn't. Went back a second time for the right part which they fortunately had in stock. To top it off, the clerk insisted on taking my telephone number to process the returns for the 2 parts. When I inquired why, I was told it was "policy". The Ace store in Tucson never asks for such private information. Another reason not to return. read more

This is the best Ace Hardware ever! They are SO helpful and friendly. Every time I am there I get asked my multiple sales associates if they can help me find anything. I've gotten keys made, purchased nails and screws for a project, bird seed and other outdoor patio goods and they always made sure I got the right thing. I also know that the owners are very giving and donate a lot to local businesses which I appreciate. I definitely recommend ACE above all others in the area. read more

Price gouging is the name of the game here in this remote town five minutes from the Mexican border. Since the pandemic hit, they have doubled and tripled prices of items like bottled water, disposable gloves, paper towels and disinfectant. It was the last straw when I saw a small box of face masks on sale for $79 at the counter. Its too easy to go to Sierra Vista where sales tax is a mere 6 percent, not 10, and prices are closer to what you'd pay in less remote areas. Cinderblocks that go for $1 everywhere else are $1.50 here, and no discount for quantities. The manager does not seem to care about customers, only that this company that is really making out on a national emergency makes an extra buck or two. Notice that all the older employees have been replaced by young people who can afford to expose themselves to life threatening diseases on a minimum wage. Pathetic. read more

I love this store. I'm so appreciative and grateful that they are open during the pandemic and that the staff considers customers' safety by wearing masks. I can usually find everything I need and if not I ask the staff who are always friendly and helpful. Having this store in Bisbee is so much better than having to go to Sierra Vista, especially if I have only a short shopping list. It's well-organized and clean as well, which may be a sign of good management and employee pride in their work. Always a good thing. read more

Howdy Y'all Bisbee Folk, Ace in Bisbee is top notch. The Orchekowsky family bend over backward to serve Benson, Bisbee & Sierra Vista communities. The Bisbee store brings a lot of convenience and good service and tax revenue to your town. So before you turn on your computer or your smartaleck phone to complain, take it to the store manager or the O's before winning they will make it right. The Orchekowsky family gambled when they made the huge investment to build a store for Bisbee folk so treat them right and they will reciprocate! read more

Dont work for these people. They fire people for petty reasons, say they cant get good help, yet treat their employees like garbage. The management is horrible. Different rules for different people. read more

Very knowledgeable and always asking if I need help. Been using "Ace Hardware" for years in Bisbee, Benson and Tucson. Consistently there has always been someone available for questions, and even more so in Bisbee. Phone help here in Bisbee is best I've ever seen, especially to make sure an item is available, or even for pricing. read more

We were at the Bisbee store and my husband was buying concrete the bags on top were torn so we asked the cashier to call someone to help us get to some that were intact but no one came to help us. So we ended up taking the ones on top when we went to pay we told her no one came to help us so we had to take the torn ones and we asked for tape, so she handed us this big tape gun and had us tape it ourselves. I had back surgery recently and was using a walker but not one person in that store tried to help us. read more
