I go here when I need a certain length of chain cut for my fence, or if I only need a few nuts and bolts for a project instead of a pre-packaged bag. I always get prompt, friendly and professional assistance here. One employee stands out, and that is the tall German assistant, Edgar. That man certainly knows his way around tools and other areas of DIY. While many prices are higher than at other larger hardware stores, the quality of product and service here can't be beat. Even the garden center has plants that are not over-fertilized so that when you take them home, they die from nitrogen withdrawal. Most plants I get from Ace survive and thrive.

On a recent Friday night while a friend and I were picking up supplies at multiple hardware stores simultaneously for a large project we were starting the next day, I was fortunate to be the one picking up the needed tools at Harbor Freight. Their app showed that they limited stock of a tool that was key to our project (it also happened to be on sale). When I got there 10 minutes before closing, one of their associates looked in their system and saw they only had one left in stock, pointing me to the aisle where it was normally located. When I couldn't find it, they helped me check the end caps on all the aisles, locating the one tool they had in the store. They then helped me make sure the accessories I was buying for the tool were the right ones.

But now I'm in the Southwest and the Target store in town sits near a major intersection looking neglected. There are always cars in the parking lot but most of them are for the Pizza Hut and Starbucks near the front entrance. I stopped by this place, finally, two days ago after work. I was looking for a cellphone rack to place in the classroom. Walmart didn't sell it and I came here. (Target didn't have one, either.) And then I remembered why I don't shop here anymore: there aren't any employees in the aisles! In fact, there were few people in the store and the largest crowd was at the pharmacy. Most of the employees were standing guard watching customers self-check out. Another reason why I won't shop here again (at least during the school year): most of the people inside the store were teenagers just walking the aisles looking at stuff. One teen recognized me and then two more. Next time I go to this store I'll wear a full-face mask and wig. I will add that the shopping cart I had rolled along flawlessly and the floors were clean and shiny.

No lanes were open besides self checkout, but the cashier running the self checkouts was friendly and social. I have mixed feelings about whether I'd recommend this place. As a store, it's better than most, but with the political climate and boycotts happening, that's really up to the customers to decide whether this is for them. It's on the pricier side anyway, and there really isn't much in the way of fashionable clothing for women that doesn't throw me all the way back to the early 00's. If you're seeking pet supplies like litter or food, you're better off going to Walmart, Frys, or anywhere else with ads and lower prices. Not a bad experience though. The book section, as always, is still pretty awesome.

He went above and beyond and once we found the set we wanted he allowed us to take the floor model. What a blessing! The quality of the couches we purchased was great, they still looks amazing and the prices were extremely reasonable. This was our third and final stop that day. The first two shops either didn't have the quality or the employees didn't seem to want to help us. If i was in the market to buy any furniture I would definitely shop at Sparks. I did just that and he told me that he contacted the "Best Home Furnishings" manufacturing company to get the springs necessary to fix my couch. He told me they didn't have any parts for my couch so I contacted the company on two occasions and they told me the same thing. I think their lifetime warranty are just words that sound good in order to encourage people to purchase their products. Not having any parts in stock is a way the company doesn't have to be responsible for warranty repairs.
