I used to be a Target shopper when I was in college last century. Back then the name was pronounced TarJAY. K-Mart ruled the retail shops and Walmart was only in the South. But now I'm in the Southwest and the Target store in town sits near a major intersection looking neglected. There are always cars in the parking lot but most of them are for the Pizza Hut and Starbucks near the front entrance. I stopped by this place, finally, two days ago after work. I was looking for a cellphone rack to place in the classroom. Walmart didn't sell it and I came here. (Target didn't have one, either.) And then I remembered why I don't shop here anymore: there aren't any employees in the aisles! In fact, there were few people in the store and the largest crowd was at the pharmacy. Most of the employees were standing guard watching customers self-check out. Another reason why I won't shop here again (at least during the school year): most of the people inside the store were teenagers just walking the aisles looking at stuff. One teen recognized me and then two more. Next time I go to this store I'll wear a full-face mask and wig. I will add that the shopping cart I had rolled along flawlessly and the floors were clean and shiny. read more

We stopped here just before returning home. Mostly to walk around but also to see if there was anything we needed while we were here. The store has easily accessible parking, it's clean, and spacious. I wouldn't say a lot of items are worth the price when you can get the same branded items at other corporate chains, but I found a tote I needed at a reasonable price. Something I really thought was cool though is that their mascot (Bulleye) is now branded onto some merchandise, including as infant toys. No lanes were open besides self checkout, but the cashier running the self checkouts was friendly and social. I have mixed feelings about whether I'd recommend this place. As a store, it's better than most, but with the political climate and boycotts happening, that's really up to the customers to decide whether this is for them. It's on the pricier side anyway, and there really isn't much in the way of fashionable clothing for women that doesn't throw me all the way back to the early 00's. If you're seeking pet supplies like litter or food, you're better off going to Walmart, Frys, or anywhere else with ads and lower prices. Not a bad experience though. The book section, as always, is still pretty awesome. read more

All right this review has got to do with customer service and returns. I returned an item in person at the store, I did not have the physical receipt, I did have the electronic record of the purchase. The initial assistant could not have been more helpful with helping to resolve the issue. She went above and beyond, I couldn't have been more happy with her professionalism. She figured out a way to get the receipt by contacting a phone number and explaining to the person on the phone what the situation was. The person on the phone sent an email with the receipt information, with this information my refund would have gone through without any hassle. However the email was not showing up. So I did not want to inconvenience this assistant any further. So instead a store credit was issued without that email. She was professional and knew how to do her job. However 5 minutes later the email showed up as I was walking through the store considering what to buy with this card which I hadn't intended to do but since I couldn't use this money on my credit card for other purposes I would have to use it in target, no big deal I suppose So now I thought let me see if I can return this store credit and have the money returned to my credit card as I had initially gone to the store for. If it was going to be inconvenient for the busy staff , I would forgo this idea but it won't hurt to ask, is what I was thinking. How wrong I was. That's when things went south. The nice initial assistant wasn't there on my return, there was another assistant who had been next to the nice assistant to whom I said "do you remember me I was just here a few minutes ago" and I explained the situation. I also included, if the solution was going to be simple that would be fine, and if not that would also be fine. i basically didn't want to be wasting my time or his. But I get this disapproving look on this guy's face which primed me.Maybe I'm wrong but there was attitude on his face no doubt, smirking not looking me in the face the usual signs of, oh here comes a problem customer. He could not give me a straight answer all I wanted was a "yes it's going to be a problem or no, it's no problem or I don't know and let me see if it is a problem" . That would have been the most professional straightforward thing to do but no that's not what happened he started responding like the typical robotic big store untrained unprofessional person who did not like his job or assertive people. I wasn't taking his attitude. He then called for a higher authority to handle this simple task. This would be a nice segway to how AI can replace certain workers but i'll pass on that. This higher authority was no better. Upon her arrival, this assistant attempts to explain incorrectly and totally out of context what I was trying to explain to him. But of course he got it all wrong because he wasn't listening to the issue he was paying more attention to the trip on his shoulder. This was when I interjected when I realized she was not getting the relevant information which she would have needed to resolve the non-issue that had now become an issue. And this is when it escalated It turns out that She was made from the same cloth as her colleague which I noticed when she would not let me complete my sentence So now the higher power proceeds to say "sir you need to calm down" even though I was using the same decibel level. I was just being assertive which obviously with a lot of people they take that as being angry or something like that. I was aggravated by the unprofessionalism though , no doubt ,but in control. She said the wrong thing, I was not angry she was making me out to be something that I wasn't and that then made me somewhat angry but not to the point of me raising my voice or anything like that. Because we hear on the media what happens next in this wonderful society that we live in, the cops would have been on the scene in a few minutes and god only knows what type of cops turn up, that a crap shoot. Just remember this is a simple return which the first person had it all sorted out. The only missing piece of the puzzle missing was the already sent but not received email. So now, a fourth customer service representative is needed to refund my money. And that fourth person was seemingly the head honcho of this location. Again I have to explain for a fourth time what's going on so needless to say blood pressure is higher I'm trying to calm myself down for my health benefit. This highest ranking person wasn't helpful but at least she wasn't as offensive or as insulting like the second and third were but again very robotic corporate and again not able to solve the issue. I wish I knew the name of the first person because she should have been in the position of running that store and not the one who is. Anyhow it's back to shopping online at Amazon or Walmart , I thought I'd give the brick and mortar a try but not agin for a while. read more

I love that the staff always has my order correct for order pickup. Also, when I've gone to the store and come in contact with team members they are all very courteous and helpful. They usually have everything stocked pretty well, and I like how they've been adding more fresh grocery items to their pickup. My favorite thing to get here is tea, Celsius energy drinks, and premier protein. They also have a huge baby section that has lots of cute clothes for my son. Target needs to do the exchange clothes service again, my mom just had a baby and is going back to work so she's figuring out what size pants she needs. She bought a pair of pants that ended up being a size larger so she went to swap her pants out but target doesn't offer the service anymore so she ended up returning the pants and she got a gift card. She went and bought the same exact pants but in a size smaller and she owed a dollar extra. It's not that big of a deal but it's disappointing that when you expect a full price return you don't get the full price. read more

Honestly this target is the absolute worse I have ever been to. The staff act like they don't want to be there nothing is ever restocked and in the mornings and afternoons they leave all staff carts out blocking every aisle. The cashiers act as if they don't get paid enough to even say hi as you approach the register the Starbucks in this place is the exact same. Like everyone just hates working there and being there in general as if they weren't getting paid to be there and you aren't a paying customer literally giving you dirty looks as you approach (starbucks or cashiers) If you don't like your job find somewhere else to work it's so odd that people that age act this way. Terrible customer service while attempting to make a return. They had one employee at the customer service where you take returns. I was second in line. After helping the lady in front of me the worker didn't say a word to me and left the counter to do something else. I waited patiently. As she returned, another employee cut in front of me without saying a word and walked a customer to the counter to have a security tag removed. Finally after waiting too long I was able to return the item. The biggest issue is the total lack of care I experienced. A quick "we'll be right with you" or "I'm sorry we're going to have to help this person before you" or any semblance of courtesy or good customer service would have made it tolerable. read more

Wish i could give 0 stars. The worst I've ever been treated by a store manager. I bought a 400 quest 2 from there. And it never worked. So i went to return it a couple days later and they accused me of bringing them a different quest 2 and wouldn't refund me. So they sold me a 400$ non working quest 2 and no only wouldn't return it. I really like Target, just a reminder though if your going to have anyone wearing gloves they can not be using them all day, they will be cross contaminating everything they touch and if they are on registers touching items and cards etc they will be passing along the germs to everyone and everything. Might be a good idea to have them using hand sanitize along with the gloves or not use gloves. read more

I've never had a bad experience at Target. Target was my first job and it's gotta be one of my favorite ones too. There was no drama (that I knew of), it was super fun, and the people were great. This was back in 2006 though lol. Back when they had a "Food Avenue," where I worked. Man I miss that place... they had really great deals and really great food. Love most of the workers there, especially at Starbucks. They are always efficient and seem to know what I want every time I visit! I prefer this place over Wal Mart because they have more cashiers that are friendly and the bathrooms are clean. Finding an associate is easier and I don't have to worry about getting trapped on an isle. read more

This Target, by far, will have the best deals in town. Weird right? Normally it is the other way around, but this one really wants you to come back. They will beat out Walmart, Fry's or Safeway. They are also right now renovating the East side to have groceries and produce. My wife can come in here with coupons and clean up house, its always clean and comfortable. The only downside is Starbucks is a little slow. Keep coming by this will be a great place to do your "all in one" shopping. read more

Typically, regardless of which location you're at, you know your way around it, but this target was arranged way differently than most. I had to actually search for things. Great store! Always clean. The Restrooms too. The employees are always nice and helpful. One Lady even went out of her way to find the last crockpot on sale. The other lady helped with the Christmas cards and toys. Black Friday was quiet but not enough people to help out in the electronic section. Looked liked only 1 Person had the key. We waited almost 1 h in line to ask if the TV was still available. No, only 3 coming in on Monday. We bought the same TV at the PX same day. In any event, cashiers always nice. I left my full grocery cart at the check-out at Fry's grocery because they were not enforcing al people wearing masks. I wen to Target and everyone was wearing a mask and an employee told me they check people for masks when they come in. It is goo to see Target protecting it's customers and it's staff. This place is always well stocked and clean. It's surprisingly good value for money. Though it's a bit more expensive, it's worth it. The Staff are always helpful and service is usually pretty quick. I've never had a bad experience at this location. read more

Target is probably one of the better Department stores in the area. Although you will find some higher priced items, you will notice a better quality in their products provided. So...I thought adding the grocery section was gonna make our Target amazing. I can't say I'm terribly pleased. What? I love Target! I love that there are groceries in store now, don't get me wrong but maybe they're not through reorganizing. They've stacked things much more high everywhere-which really sucks for someone who's only 5'2. Walking around the store today was a little daunting. It now has a crowded, towering, not-as-clean-as-it used to be, dumpy feeling to it. I'm not crazy about how they moved some of the departments around either. I'll still shop here, but it just isn't as nice an experience as before. I hope they're able to fix this. read more

This is a standard Target store that you'd see pretty much anyplace else. It's a good place to go to avoid going to Wal-Mart.

today at target I had a crappy experience. I usually go in there throughout the week for something. the guy cooking the food didn't know how to make a grilled cheese sandwich the easiest thing there is and was too busy making food for his family in the lobby. I had to wait for 10 mins for it the first time. and got burned cheese. and the second was the same way. if he doesn't know how to make things he shoudnt be there. obvious!! and when I talked to someone about it he could care less. so I wont be going back there for a while. read more

I love Target! awsome choice in clothes since Sierra Vista lacks many clothing stores so it is limiting. Kids wear is great to. They have a Starbucks but I would be careful sometimes its good sometimes it is made wrong and there isn't but one person there so it is slow. This review is based solely on costumer service. Living in Sierra Vista there are not that many places to shop. I love shopping at Target and have for years. Today I came in with my list in hand and coupons in tow. I had received a coupon from Target a few weeks past and decided to use it today. I needed to spend a certain amount on a product to use the coupon. The prices on the products were mislabeled, which is fine it happens, but that wasn't the problem I had. I was told to go to guest services so they could figure out what was wrong with the coupon and prices. The cashier at guest services (I wont say her name on here but have filled a formal complaint against her) was very short with me from the start. I tried to explain that the prices were mislabeled and that in fact Target was charging me less then what the price was labeled for. She rolled her eyes at me and told me she would be right with me. The women in front of me was also having a price issue. There was no price tag on her shirt, the same cashier said to another cashier, "just give it to her for $14.99". The cashier had no idea what this item cost, it could be costing the costumer more money or the store more money, and I know one mislabeled price isn't going to hurt the store but it is the principle of the matter. The cashier then helped me and made me feel dumb the whole time, taking deep sighs and rolling her eyes. It is the holiday season and I get working in retail is stressful, but having an employee who is disrespectful to costumers and the company they work for is simply not someone who should be working in a service based job.
