Too bad the owner/operator, Kara Peters, is a miserable human being. I walked in--only customer on a Thursday afternoon--and she (who turned out to be the owner-- barely looked up and said hi and not in a friendly way. I went right to the socks, and found a few that I liked. I picked up men's socks with a Foosball theme and decided to buy those for my brother. I asked about the sizes and she narrowed her eyes at me and said "what?!" I am not loud, but I do not have people struggle to understand me. I asked again and she said, "it's one size." OK. She seemed pre-occupied with going through new inventory, but ya know--having customers in the store trumps that. I saw women's undies and asked if there were other sizes, and then she got nasty. Really narrowed her cold, mean eyes then and snapped, "no, that's it!" Whoa. I put the merchandise back that I had intended to buy, and said "you are RUDE" as I walked out. I entered the adjoining store and received a friendly welcome. Turned out to be her employee, who confirmed that the rude woman is the owner.

I was there yesterday and found some beautiful shirts in the jewel tone colors I love. They also have a nice selection of scarves and shoes. The jewelry selection isn't as large at the Sierra Vista store but I was able to find a pair of pretty earrings for $3.99. Most of their summer stuff is on sale but the fall and winter clothes are priced mostly below $20. Customer service is great. I've never had a bad experience there. I go to Douglas maybe once a month but I always make sure to stop by Cato's and do some shopping.

Shoe boxes only had one shoe to try on, at least the ones I picked up did, maybe the matching pair is in the back to prevent shoplifting. The clearance section is in the back of the store. Isles have chairs to sit on to try on shoes; television screens for diversion while waiting. The place is really nice and prices are comparable to any tucson store. We went in last night in search of hiking shoes/boots and found a really nice Merrell brand. I need to peruse other stores in SV to compare quality and prices but I would probably go back to Encore to purchase as I really like the pair I tried on. The only gripe I have is the customer service. We walked in and sales associates were organizing shoes, made eye contact with us; however, no greeting nor did not ask if we needed assistance. It was 8pm, an one before closing but still. 3 stars for the store and zero star for customer service.

She shops at Clique all the time and we both needed dresses...so lets start the fun!
