Very poor experience and huge waste of time. Appointment was made with Dr. Adcock based on what I would classify as a "just in case" referral from my primary dentist. They were late to take me back and, like other reviewers' experience, insisted on high priced assessments out of pocket. Indeed they refused access to the doctor without me agreeing to submit to 3D CT for $200 out of pocket. As background: I arrived 25 minutes early to manually fill out patient information on their office tablet because their web portal had technical issues. After completing submission, front desk staff mentioned I may be required to have a 3D CT scan at $200 out of pocket. This was not mentioned in setting the appointment. I replied that I preferred to speak to the doctor before that. They called me back to a room 20 minutes later than the stated appointment time. In the room, the medical assistant stated that I would be required to have a 3D CT scan before seeing the doctor. I asked why since they already had X-Ray images from my referring dentist which were clearly on the screen. They said they did not know when those were taken which could have easily been determined. I told the assistant that I had expressly stated at the front desk that I wanted to see the doctor before any other imaging. She stated I could not see the doctor without the 3D CT scan and they doctor would not consult with me without this. In effect, they refused access without me spending the money. At best, this signals a lack courtesy and professionalism. At worst, it suggests a practice more focused on money making than patient care. What an embarrassment to the profession! Of course, I informed my referring dentist about this highly negative experience. I hope others remain diligent in seeking care. read more

By far the best dentist place I've been to. Have had some terrible experiences but this place has helped in so many ways. I have big trust issues with dentist and combine that with anxiety and always worrying does not make a good combination but this place put most of it to rest. I recommend this place to any and everybody. The staff is amazing and so caring. The doctor is the best of the best. Thank you for helping me and putting my mind at ease to a degree. Bait and Switch! The worst - If you go to them, ask them what your out of pocket will be before you sign anything, and don't be afraid to walk away when they come back with charges they never mentioned before and/or are not necessary for your service. Took my 90 year old mother there because it was recommended that a root canal be redone. They took all kinds of xrays and agreed that it needed to be performed. They insisted that she receive anesthesia at a cost of $800.00 plus. My mother complained that it never felt right. Now, 3 months later, we find that the tooth is fractured and will have to be pulled. Can we PROVE that the 2nd root canal broke the tooth....no...but it stands to reason that if it was fractured prior to the root canal, it should have been found before. read more

I have had root canals twice at ACE with Dr. Mauricio Ceballos. The first time was on a broken tooth crown prep, and the second involved an issue under a crown that was placed by my dentist over a tooth that SHOULD have had a root canal beforehand. Both times were very easy to schedule. The procedure was reasonably fast both times. In both cases, I did not have any excessive pain or discomfort and I have left the clinic feeling fine, with no lingering issues. The technicians are efficient and professional. Dr. Ceballos has a calming presence and explains what he is doing. All staff are good about giving clear follow up instructions. I played up the 'woe is me, I had a root canal!' thing up at work, but really, ACE does a great job of making a traditionally horrible experience the least horrible it can be! read more

I was referred to Dr. Adcock at ACE for a root canal. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of pain I experienced. The most difficult part for me was keeping my mouth open long enough for Dr. Adcock to do the procedures. I found Dr. Adcock and ALL of his staff to be friendly and caring professionals. I was referred to this office by my regular dentist for a root canal. I went in for my appointment and was greeted by Judy at the front desk, she has a friendly face and welcoming attitude which eased my nerves right away. She helped me get all setup for my appointment and then I was taken back and helped by Edith and Elsie. They poked around in my mouth a little and did sensitivity tests on the teeth surrounding the one needing a root canal. At this point Dr. Pedott came in to greet me and broke the news I actually needed THREE root canals (btw, im blaming my twin pregnancy for ruining my teeth). I immediately became overwhelmed by the idea of all that dental work and the cost behind it and was in tears. Judy and Kahrin were tremendously helpful in getting me setup with CareCredit in order to cover the costs and Dr. Pedott graciously fit me in to her schedule for the THREE root canals instead of the one, at my request, since I knew I would not be able to make myself come back. lol. Not once did anyone make me feel silly or self-conscious for having such an emotional reaction and only worked to calm me and help me figure out how to make things happen. I can not say enough how much Dr. Pedott, Judy, Elsie, Edith and Kahrin made me feel cared for and safe while I was there. Don't get me wrong, having THREE root canals is not fun but Dr. Pedott does great work and it went faster than I expected. She is also great at soothing your anxiety... it helps that she's funny. :) I should add that I received a personal call from Dr. Pedott that night to check on me and also a call from Judy the next day. So, to everyone at ACE, THANK YOU so so so much for all of your help in keeping my mouth healthy and keeping me sane during the process. I have been to Dr. Adcock twice in the last 12 months upon recommendation from my general dentist. I experienced dental trauma growing up, but Dr. Adcock and his great staff made be comfortable and confident. I had always heard dire things about root canal procedures, but found the whole procedure not painful. very surprising. The toughest part was keeping my mouth open wide enough and long enough for Dr. Adcock to complete the procedure. If you need to be knocked out for this procedure, this office can offer that also. Dr. Adcock will explain it all and offer honest answers to any questions you may have. This is what we all should look for and need in our health professionals. So, look at the professional background of Dr. Adcock and the other professionals. You will be in good hands. read more

Fast, painless root canal? Yep..this is the place to go. I have a true fear of dentists in general and root canals in particular. Dr Caballos took great care of me. His technicians, Lupe and Janice, did their best to try to keep me calm and at ease. My only complaint would be my lack of pain relief. The office phoned the next day to check on me. I told the lady that the Motrin and Tylenol were ineffective. She assured me that I would be sore and to just keep taking the meds. I wasn't just sore, however. I had throbbing unrelenting pain. I returned to my dentist the next day for a temp crown and was given more substantial pain meds which worked beautifully. I rec this place, just be sure to get more than Motrin before you leave! read more

Overall, good experience. I'm probably between a 3 and a 4 since my experience wasn't perfect but I'll bump it up to four since I'm not in much pain the day after my procedure and that's what counts most as far as I'm concerned. A little background: Previously I have had two fillings that ended up with cavities under them - both times the dentists tried to remove what cavity was there and fill it back in...both times ended with me in excruciating pain needing an emergency root canal. Fast forward many years later I've got the same situation: cavity under the filling. I decided to wait until it actually started to hurt, then I would go get the root canal since I was 99% sure that's the way it would end anyways. That being said, I called for a consult appointment. The front desk was friendly - I filled out my paperwork at home online so check in was pretty fast (however I had to fill out the entire 'pain' form again which was a bit annoying). The dental assistant seemed new so getting started was a slow process but eventually I got to talk to the Endodontist (Paula Mendez) and explained the situation. I was expecting to have to come back and take care of the root canal but she performed the procedure right then and there. The procedure should have taken about an hour but mine took a little longer since I guess an emergency came in around the same time mine got started. I was there about 2.5 hours total (including the procedure and the consultation) - lots of waiting on the doctor, some of it while my mouth was propped open! That all said though I'm not in much pain today besides a little soreness. As somebody already stated they do not prescribe you anything stronger than IB profin so if you've got a low pain tolerance be sure to tell them. read more

I was in excruciating pain when I arrived at the clinic, and I had not had a good experience with my last endodontist; but Dr. Adcock and his staff were the best! They were very thorough in their explanations of the treatment, cost, and post op instructions. They made certain I was comfortable before they began and called the next day to check on me. Oh, they were able to see me right away AND after work at 3 PM which is unheard of! My second visit was on a Friday at 2:30 PM. I was very thankful for those convenient times. I was VERY nervous about going in for my root canals. I never had a very comfortable or enjoyable experience at the dentist before. I would say I came in being very apprehensive about how my procedure was going to go and my pain tolerance. BUT...Dr. Ceballos and his team was absolutely amazing. They made sure that I was comfortable and that I felt nothing. I was given a blanket (it was pretty chilly) and pillow for my head. They explained what was going on thoroughly to me. They were very informative about post procedure protocol and informed me to reach back out if I have any discomfort. I tested my hot/cold sensitivity that night and felt like a brand new person. I would most definitely recommend them to anyone needing dental work. You'll love your experience. read more

Lisa, the secretary for Dr. Tran is nearly impossible to work with. My fiancé had an infected root canal with abscess and we tried reaching the on call physician over the weekend. She would not relay any messages to Dr. Tran and his infection got worse - finally after reaching Dr. Tran (on Monday) he was put on a different antibiotic and additional pain medications. When trying to make a follow up appointment for the increased swelling, fevers, swollen lymph nodes and pain she told us she could only get an appointment for late Thursday (remind you we are calling about a systemic infection at this point on Monday!) She is extremely rude and I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND going to this facility for anything serious. She has no empathy for patients and is extremely condescending. I would also like to know why a secretary is answering on-call physician phone calls and determining the severity of the call... accident waiting to happen. read more

I would be very cautious of this place. They add on random fees and I found out that what you pay Out of Pocket expenses at ACE is much higher than other places. Don't believe me? Ask them on the phone beforehand and they tell you to come in to analyze your teeth. Once you're in there, they charge you $200 consultation fee in case you leave and don't want to use their services. Something about this place doesn't seem right. read more
