The couriers who delivered the item were completely negligent; they dragged the fridge across the threshold causing denting, deep scratches and paint damage as well as destroying the weatherproof seal. Also, in doing so, whilst forcefully pushing it from behind, they also overbalanced it and almost crushed my pregnant partner who had to catch it so save her from being injured. After contacting the company to ask for the courier's details to get them to fix the considerable damage caused, they refused to take responsibility and simply fobbed me off with an email to the extent of "We're abdicating all liability because we've written in our T&C's that we don't have to pay for any damage we cause" which is disgraceful when zero care was taken to do the job properly. Avoid this company as they are disgraceful!

Ordered 3 applicances same day at the weekend online from 3 different stores, first 2 both sent…read morenumerous messages confirming delivery, and were delivered right away on the Tuesday as promised. I hadn't heard a word from Appliance Electronics still, so chased them by email to find out what was going on, several hours later got a call back confirming delivery the following day between 7am-8pm so I said I'd have to take an extra day off work to ensure I was there after it didn't land with the other two on my planned day off. I then had a call today at lunch on the day of delivery that they only had white available, apparently, mine was damaged, and they'd tried to call my work mobile in the evening to tell me, but then didn't bother to email or leave a message like any other store would have. Naturally, I don't work at nights! Service was miles behind the other two normal big appliance stores I used from the get go in terms of communication, it really showed the difference in professionalism. For the record the response to "who's covering my cost for the time off work today I took based on your verdict?" - "we don't do that, you can write in a complaint but nothing will happen". Will lodge in the small claims court for day off work, to make a point that businesses can't cause people financial loss through their own incompetence, that's not morally right.

CeX is no longer a computer games and electronics store, it is basically cash converters in disguise. The Walsall store is disgusting though, firstly the store actually smells of drugs. There was a strong smell of weed from the moment I walked in. Not sure whether thats from the people that shop there or just the store in general but its unpleasant and not very welcoming. We waited in the queue for about 20 min (only 2 people from the front). The queue got longer and longer and no help appeared to be surfacing any time soon. One lad was serving a person that appeared to have brought in about 300 games (not his fault obviously) and 2 girls were taking forever to serve a couple over one laptop, I'm still not sure why it took 2 of them. At this time, 2 gentlemen behind the till were just wandering about doing nothing. Eventually after 20 min one of the lazy gents ordered everyone to form a new queue further up the store, in doing this 3 people from behind us speedily jumped ahead of us meaning we lost our place in the queue. The store attendant event seeing this did nothing! We eventually got served and there was still no apology for the length of time that we had to wait. I hate CeX now, I will never be shopping here again, walsall or anywhere else, it just gets from bad to terrible. I had a similar sort of experience at their store in Leeds a few weeks back and no one seems bothered about trying to do anything about it at all.

No one in-store will help as it's an online order, and when you call customer services all they say is you'll have to wait for a phone callback which never happens either. Been promised a managers call now to log a complaint probably 30+ times, and I'm still waiting for that as well as my replacement TV. Go elsewhere, even if you have to pay more!
