I ordered a fridge for delivery and was asked to provide bifold door access if it was available, which I obliged. The couriers who delivered the item were completely negligent; they dragged the fridge across the threshold causing denting, deep scratches and paint damage as well as destroying the weatherproof seal. Also, in doing so, whilst forcefully pushing it from behind, they also overbalanced it and almost crushed my pregnant partner who had to catch it so save her from being injured. After contacting the company to ask for the courier's details to get them to fix the considerable damage caused, they refused to take responsibility and simply fobbed me off with an email to the extent of "We're abdicating all liability because we've written in our T&C's that we don't have to pay for any damage we cause" which is disgraceful when zero care was taken to do the job properly. Ordered 3 applicances same day at the weekend online from 3 different stores, first 2 both sent numerous messages confirming delivery, and were delivered right away on the Tuesday as promised. I hadn't heard a word from Appliance Electronics still, so chased them by email to find out what was going on, several hours later got a call back confirming delivery the following day between 7am-8pm so I said I'd have to take an extra day off work to ensure I was there after it didn't land with the other two on my planned day off. I then had a call today at lunch on the day of delivery that they only had white available, apparently, mine was damaged, and they'd tried to call my work mobile in the evening to tell me, but then didn't bother to email or leave a message like any other store would have. Naturally, I don't work at nights! Service was miles behind the other two normal big appliance stores I used from the get go in terms of communication, it really showed the difference in professionalism. For the record the response to "who's covering my cost for the time off work today I took based on your verdict?" - "we don't do that, you can write in a complaint but nothing will happen". Will lodge in the small claims court for day off work, to make a point that businesses can't cause people financial loss through their own incompetence, that's not morally right. read more

I have also had a problem with this company and agree with Richard B. It would appear they are only good if things go smoothly. 12th March I ordered an American fridge freezer, due to be delivered 2 days later 14th March. We are currently not living at the delivery address as our house is being renovated but there are 3 or more builders there so delivery was not a problem. On arrival the delivery man became very abusive and angry because the access was up an incline and steps. The builders asked him to calm down as there was no problem they were there to help. At this point the driver was beside himself with rage and started to mishandle the appliance. He ripped off the cardboard from the appliance and just wanting the man to leave signed the delivery note. As the van was about to leave another tradesman pulled up behind the van and the driver then got angry with him as well. At this stage the driver was so mad the builders and other person said they would have to call the police. The tradesman that had just arrived was quite willing to move his car backwards and did so to avoid further confrontation. The driver drove off leaving the builders and tradesman totally stunned at such behaviour. The builder did not want to inform me as he didn't want me to get upset but when I found out I immediately phoned the company and was informed the manager would take up the complaint. Unfortunately when the builder took off the protective film there was a dent in one of the doors. Since then I have received no apology and as a"gesture of good will" a replacement door was offered. As there was no apology I declined and followed advice given by citizens advice bureau. Under the consumer act 2015 I am within my rights to cancel the agreement and ask for a refund,which is what I did by email and a recorded delivery letter. Since then I have been informed that as the delivery note was signed the damage was not inflicted by the driver and occurred subsequently. There has been no further correspondence from the firm and I am left with a damaged appliance. read more

The measure of a company is how they deal with problems, not how they act when all is going smoothly. If they handle problems well they can build a trust with their community. If you filter on ratings in Trustpilot you can see that Appliance Electronics are great when things go smoothly (5 stars) or terrible when anything goes wrong (1 star) they have nothing in the middle. So if you are willing to assume it all goes smoothly, good luck. A week ago we had a fridge and freezer delivered at 8:30 pm, the delivery driver rolled his van back into our car, badly damaging the driver's door. He was very apologetic and promised he would call it in first thing the following morning and all would be sorted. Seemed very genuine. At the time of the accident he had been stopped by his partner who was guiding him, just before he hit the car. I was relieved, but then when he tried to go forward he rolled back into the car. My partner jumped in through the passenger side, and climbed over to reverse the car out of the way, as each time he tried to go forward he rolled back, causing more damage. They delivered the goods, got back in the van and we expected to receive his details due to the legal requirement to do so, but he drove off. Well, as you can see from my star rating, the driver did not call it in the next day and one week later Appliance Electronics claim they have still not contacted him to clarify. I have no idea why this is taking so long. We have contacted the police but they have said as it is on our drive they can do nothing, which surprised me. This now probably means a claim on our own insurance and resulting costs to us. There is still time for Alex at Appliance Electronics Support to do the right thing rather than delay progress until we lose heart, which he is currently doing. Speaking to the driver and partner 'should' clear it up, and if they do, I will come back to update this review and change the rating, because how a company deals with problems is truly how you know them. Update: Appliance Electronics are saying they interviewed the driver and the accident never happened. This will cost us. I would question the number of 'great delivery guys' posts they get, especially right after my review. read more
