It is a great brand to have in Solihull, especially for those who don't fancy the trip into Birmingham to get their tech fix. Most areas of the store were smaller than usual, but the Genius Bar area and selection of Apple goods were fine, and the staff seemed pretty friendly/welcoming. It does also seem easier to get an appointment here, compared to their nearby store in Birmingham and I do prefer this store overall, due to the limited size and high demand, it can get pretty crowded and a little uncomfortable at times, but Apple is trying to control the people allowed into the store at one time, and have been for a while due to the pandemic. 3*

I have recently had…read moresome problems with my printer and cartridges not registering with the printer - it is all very technological and I am not exactly a printer or ink cartridge expert. Upon entering the store I was greeted by a very friendly member of staff who asked me straight away if I needed any help. I informed her of my technical situation and we discussed the possible problems and solutions. She was really friendly and very down to earth, which made me feel at ease. She showed me the cartridges that I needed for my printer and told me that if I had any problems to return to the store, bringing my receipt and the cartridges with me. I was pleased I came to this store rather than the bigger computer chain stores as I know that the staff can be quite pushy with sales. I would recommend this store to anyone who lives in the area.

I remember the smell of newly formed plastic in the box, the design was exciting. Problems with the laptop started to unravel four years later. The first thing that happened was that my battery broke. Then the built in DVD player stopped working so I couldn't watch films on it anymore. Then the screen got a slight bit of water damage at the sides, I still to this day do not know why this happened. The final straw was when the keyboard went and would only let me type in a few characters. I took my broken laptop into the laptop lab and the technician there asked me if I had any Apple Care, I didn't. He told me that it would be more expensive to replace or fix the broken parts than it would be to buy a new laptop out right. He also told me that it would take a long time to do this. I appreciated the honesty that the staff here gave me; I didn't go ahead with getting it fixed because I ended up getting a new laptop. Now my Apple won't even turn on.
