We had some specific requests- I didn't want a pole in the path of our back door, we didn't want the brackets attached to the side of our roof with our solar panels, and it needed to be tall enough so that my very tall husband could walk under a ceiling fan without losing his head. James looked at our space and immediately had ideas and engineering for plans that no one else could come up with. He had the plans drawn up within days, and his daughter drove them to the building department and got the permits (from a notoriously difficult building department) the very same day. His crew came out within a week to start, had the first city inspection cleared within a day, and everything the cover itself built in one day. They left the place cleaner than when they arrived, and the city inspector "passed" it with no problems. We love our patio, and truly feel like we gained significant square footage of living space, and my husband has a good 6 inches of clearance between his head and the ceiling fan!

We had a birthday party shortly after it was completed, and everyone was raving about the new patio cover! It has completely elevated our outdoor space and made our backyard so much more enjoyable. We are incredibly thankful we decided to have this done, and we would absolutely recommend 5 Star to anyone considering a patio cover. Beautiful work and an amazing crew!

I was even more impressed with New Dawn Awning's very fair pricing. After a conversation with Vern, I chose a solid pergola, and I am so happy I did. It feels like I added another room to my house! The recessed lights and fans create an inviting and welcoming space at night and provide a cool relaxing space during the day. The actual installation process was quick and painless. Vern's team is extremely neat and efficient. They worked with me on the best place for electrical switches, etc. and kept me informed every step of the way. At the end of the install, Vern and his team scoured the yard for any wayward construction materials that might be dangerous for my dog. The difference this pergola has made to my house is simply incredible. I have peace of mind now with the extreme rainy season approaching and a usable space out of the weather at all times of the year. I highly recommend New Dawn Awnings to elevate your living space and increase the value of your home!

Exceptional Craftsmanship and a Team That Truly Cares…read more Our sunroom and new deck are finally complete, and they are absolutely stunning. This was a large, complicated project with challenging terrain, a mature tree that had to be preserved, and several unexpected obstacles along the way. What impressed me most wasn't that everything went perfectly--it was that the team stayed committed until it was right. Matt deserves special recognition. Throughout the project, he was always there. He coordinated the crews, communicated consistently, and, most importantly, made me feel like he genuinely had my back. Whenever challenges came up, he stayed committed to finding solutions and making sure I was happy with the final result. That level of customer care is hard to find. The demo crew did an excellent job removing the old deck quickly and efficiently, giving the project a great start. Carlos did a fantastic job leading the construction of the new deck and overseeing the project. His attention to detail and pride in his work really show in the finished product. A huge thank you to Chad and Mike for the electrical and HVAC work. They went above and beyond, finding creative solutions and making sure every system worked exactly as it should. Nothing felt rushed--they took the time to get it right. The sunroom installation by Vlad and Serge was nothing short of impressive. They worked incredibly hard, completed the installation beautifully, and even stayed until 9:00 PM one evening to finish the job. Their craftsmanship and work ethic were outstanding. The concrete crew--Gabe, Miguel, and their helpers--also did beautiful work. Not only did they create a fantastic finished product, but they made the experience extra special by helping me place my dog Yuri's paw prints into the fresh concrete. That simple act created a memory I'll treasure every time I walk outside. Despite the difficult site conditions, preserving a beautiful tree, and working through the natural challenges of the property, the team found solutions every step of the way without sacrificing quality or appearance. Today I have a gorgeous new deck and a sunroom that has completely transformed my home. More than that, I know it was built by people who take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. Thank you to everyone involved. I highly recommend California Sunrooms and this outstanding team. They didn't just build a sunroom--they created a space I'll enjoy for many years to come.
