We wanted our driveway torn up, widened by four feet and repaved. I got five estimates. Accurate Paving was the lowest by almost two thousand dollars! They did an amazing job and we are very happy. The work crew were experienced and professional. The Accurate rep, Rob, was available throughout the process. He was very accessible and responsive. When you called him, he either answered or called back right away (which is very rare amongst tradesmen). It's a family business and I had a nice chat with the grandfather (who drives the largest dump truck!). All in all, a great experience. I did my homework and got a few quotes before hiring them to redo my driveway. Their prices are competitive, so if their quote is within your budget...hire them. I had a time constraint and they completed it within that timeframe with no issues. Most importantly, they did a great job! I'm so glad I choose accurate paving. I want to start by saying they gave me a great price and were the only estimate to put a 3 year guarantee in his contract/estimate. My driveway came out perfect. This business is run by 3 generations of the same family. I believe they have been in business for over 50 year. The grandfather George supervised the tear out and grading. Joe second generation my contact person and salesman supervised the install and also ran the roller he was very meticulous about every corner. I purchased a fixer upper, meaning I've worked with a lot of contractors. I've had zero issues with any company prior to working with Joe. My husband and I have been appalled throughout the entire process with the rude, condescending, and unprofessional manner Joe has treated us in. It's difficult for me to adequately put into words just how negative this experience was. First, we had nicely drawn in chalk the line of exactly where we wanted a Belgium block border. When I noticed that they had squared the corner when we had drawn a curve, I nicely went out to ask that it be fixed. Joe arrived as I was speaking to the workers, and began condescendingly telling me that he "hadn't known I'd be so METICULOUS" and giving me a very hard time about not having been on the worksite for the whole day (despite me having confirmed the day prior that the line drawn would be sufficient). I should note that it took less than 5 minutes for the worker to correct the curve. Afterwards, Joe claimed that he was just saying I "was meticulous, and that's not a bad thing" to try to cover the way he had spoken to me. Next, upon hiring Joe I expressed that based on conversations with other contractors I wanted to allow the driveway be given time to settle and confirmed this was something that they did. He had said yes. After digging up my driveway, he told me they would be back the next day to finish it. I expressed my concern, as this was a question I'd previously asked him. He got very angry. I had my husband get involved because I didn't feel comfortable communicating with him. He then started to insist on partial upfront payment, despite our agreement (in writing) being that we wouldn't pay until after the job was completed. Threatened to call an attorney. We stood our ground as we didn't trust that he would come back remotely promptly if we'd already paid a big chunk. Even with us insisting on waiting to pay, it took Joe almost 6 weeks to return to finish my driveway. My neighbors got to look at a gravel driveway for almost 6 weeks. On top of trash left all over my property, they left a bag of concrete that was split down the middle on my back patio. I requested it be removed as it was in the area where my toddler plays. Someone came to remove it, but spilled concrete dust all over the patio and on the gravel of the driveway. The concrete on the driveway hardened in the rain. My husband was told that they didn't want to come back an additional time and wanted to just deal with it when coming back to finish the job (weeks later). So I couldn't allow my toddler in the backyard as to not get covered in the concrete dust still spread all over my patio. On the day the job was being completed, the building inspector for my town came by to say they were supposed to have gotten a permit. Joe got into an argument with him as well. My husband had to smooth things over, and thankfully he allowed the work to continue. The inspector told my husband he should withhold all payment until they got the permit, but we didn't feel comfortable doing that. My husband gave him 5/6 and told him that we'd give him the last 1/6 when he came with the permit on Monday. Joe told him, to his face, that he was a "huge pain in the ass." The driveway itself mostly looks nice. There are 3 noticeable "holes" that were filled (apparently there was water pooling and my husband thinks this outcome may have been inevitable, we're not sure), but I was a bit disappointed to not have a completely smooth driveway when paying to have it ripped up and repaved (photo attached). Everything else looks nice, but after this experience we don't feel any trust in whether the workmanship will stand up over time. I hope it will, but Joe has been so awful to work with that we don't feel any trust in Accurate Paving. Please beware of working with this company. I will say that Joe's father is much more reasonable to work with, but throughout the process Joe would be your main contact. 1 star feels generous with how we were treated and spoken to throughout this process. read more

Affordable, top quality driveway and hardscaping work. I had my driveway widened with a new retaining wall and granite curb. I work in construction inspection, so I knew what I wanted and how the work should be done. AP is a family owned business and the owner, Joe, will be on site working with you to make sure the project meets your expectations. Joe convinced me to overlay my old driveway and add stone pavers to the apron, both of which made the end result look fabulous. The costs were reasonable and the work was done correctly and quickly (as soon as the weather allowed). Hiring local contractors can be an adventure, but you won't go wrong with Accurate Paving. They were doing driveways on the next block, so I stopped and asked a worker for a card. He asked me for my name and phone number, that he put into his phone, and said he'd give me a call. I waited a day or 2, and no call, so I called the company on the phone, got voicemail and left my name and number with a message that I wanted to have work done on my driveway and walkway. It is over 2 weeks later, and I still haven't been contacted. If a company doesn't call you back, how dependable are they if they actually get your work? I'm sure there are a lot more companies out there who would be glad to get your work! read more

George, Joe, Robbie and team did a fantastic job in replacing and expanding my crumbling driveway and fixing my sidewalk. They were all easy to work with, provided a fair and reasonable quote and went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the job. They answered my many questions with ease. It was great to see that Joe and Robbie (and George too) we're working right alongside their guys throughout the entire process. The guys working with them were great and some of the hardest workers I've seen, even on an almost 100 degree day. Never hire Accurate Paving! You sign a contract with them to do a job, and they never come to do the job . We called and emailed them (Joe) from the month of April and were put off and told in two weeks or our calls were never answered . This went on all sumner long . Only to find out we were never put on their schedule to do the job . These people didn't have the decency or professionalism to tell us we can't do to job . They strung us along for a total of 6 months and made us waste our time and money. We were left scrambling at the last minute to find someone else to do the job before the end of October . We had an oil tank removed below our driveway and needed it patched immediately so we can continue with the sale of our home. Another company came and did a terrible job. Called Joe at Accurate and he saved the day! Within 24 hours he had a skilled and professional crew at the house removing the asphalt from the other company and patched it the right way.
