My old heating unit was old and rusted out and I decided to replace it before I retired. I had these people come out and install a good brand (Amana) central heating unit because my old one was rusted out. The tech seemed to know what he was doing.
Little did I know about a month or two later the motor quit. I called and he came out pretty quickly and found the problem, got a motor and changed it and it was under warranty. This winter my blower stopped working again so no heat. I had to call someone else because Accurate heating would not answer their phone. This other company came out and replaced the board, which was under warranty, but I had to pay almost $200 for labor.
About a week or so ago, the blower quit again and my evaporator froze solid. I opened it up and no lights on the board. I called Accurate Heating again. I got no answer. I called and it appears they have some way to block my number because I called them from another number and I left a message threatening them with the BBB. An hour or so later, the tech called and was pretty rude on the phone with me and told me he was over a week out.
I called someone else because it was 99 in the house and my wife is disabled. Their tech came out and said he couldn't replace the board because they installed a downflow furnace and left the A coil on the top and no matter what they did, it would leak on the board and also the motor and they would go out again and my heat exchanger would be lucky to last 5 years.
I now have to either buy a new system (this one cost me around 2500) or get someone to move my A coil and my heater. I would not recommend these folks to anyone, not because a mistake was made but because they will not back up their work. I guess it's time for small claims court. I don't know what else to do. I gave them a 1 because I could not give them none. read more
