Hearing Care of Palatine and Dr. Regina get 5 stars from me on all counts. Excellent customer…read moreservice and the utmost consideration for you are by no means out of style here, and Dr. Regina works with you and on your behalf with everything from the moment you start with your initial hearing exam. She takes the time to help identify the best possible solution for you, works with you on getting hearing aids properly fit and adjusted , and most of all, always remains there for you if you have any questions or problems (much unlike some larger companies who sometimes place more emphasis on sales and very little in providing support after purchases are made). I had given up on attempting a necessary procedure for keeping my hearing aids free of wax since I had difficulty properly holding and using the tools, and as a result, developed a problem with one of them after wearing it for almost one year. Being concerned that a significant repair might be needed, I immediately contacted Dr. Regina, and she offered to exam the hearing aid immediately. This in itself was dedication at its best, especially in view of the CoVid 19 stay at home order which has brought so many merchants and offices to a standstill. Upon arriving at the office, she changed the filter and instantly resolved the problem, while teaching me how to finally do it properly as well. I did not receive the admonishment which I deserved and would have agreed with, and was pleasantly surprised with the patience and help which I received instead. This is the best possible way to do business , so if you're in need of having your hearing examined and properly treated, I highly recommend Hearing Care of Palatine! Thank You So Much Again!

Our daughter failed her hearing test at school and we were referred to Northwest Speech and Hearing…read moreby our ENT. They are amazing! They tested our daughter and determined that her hearing loss was significant enough to require hearing aids. This was a big step for our daughter and our family. They helped us every step of the way. They are kind, courteous, and extremely patient. Our daughter has adjusted to her hearing aids wonderfully, with the help of the staff at NSH. Now that she can hear she is more confident and happier than ever. We are so grateful for all of their help and professionalism throughout this process. Highly recommended!

Extremely Disappointing Experience After 45 Years as a Patient…read more After more than 45 years of going to this practice, I am appalled by how we were treated. We arrived 13 minutes late for an appointment for a patient in a wheelchair who needed help with a broken hearing aid. Instead of trying to accommodate us, the staff wanted us to come back several hours later. When I expressed my frustration and disbelief that they could not help us, I was told, "That's why we tell you to come 15 minutes early." We had not been told to arrive 15 minutes early, and even if we had, I would have expected some understanding and compassion given the circumstances. Eventually, the doctor took me back and reprimanded me for speaking to his staff about the situation. He then told me that we could not come back to the practice. I was subsequently told that despite being a patient here for over 45 years, we were no longer welcome. The most frustrating part? The broken hearing aid took no more than five minutes to fix. We already had another hearing aid on order through this office, making the way we were treated even more upsetting. There was no foul language or disrespectful behavior on our part--just a caregiver expressing understandable frustration over what felt like a complete lack of consideration for a patient in a wheelchair who needed assistance. After 45 years of loyalty, I never expected to be treated this way. A little understanding, flexibility, and compassion would have gone a long way. Instead, we were made to feel unwelcome and discarded as though decades of being patients meant nothing. I would encourage anyone considering this practice to think carefully about how they may be treated when circumstances do not go exactly as planned. Professionalism and compassion should go hand in hand, especially when caring for patients who have mobility challenges.
