I've been a customer for almost a year now and I can recommend the staff and service here. Look,…read moremost people who need hearing aids (HAs) don't want them! HAs are not 100% perfect. And they are expensive and should be covered by Medicare! So that makes people crabby and truthfully, sometimes unreasonable. I was fortunate to have a minuscule amount of the total cost covered by my insurance company, IF I went to this provider. I figured I'd get mediocre service and a less than great product. But that didn't happen. Diane Leahy is a caring, knowledgeable and, professional audiologist. She provided me solutions for problems I was having regarding communication. Explained the science behind it and gave me tools to help myself. I love my hearing aids (Starkey brand, in the canal) and are so happy--they brought me back into the world!! I am delighted how they integrate with the app on my phone! I hear my phone calls and podcasts directly in my HAs! The staff at both locations are superior. I've had great interactions with Natalie at the Arlington Heights office and the very warm and caring young lady at the Glenview location. Sorry I can't remember her name right now! They both are on top of things with regard to scheduling and rescheduling appointments!! There customer service is excellent! I absolutely recommend this business!

I purchased hearing aids from Justin at Hearing Labs and normally I am a distrusting person when it…read morecomes to purchases where I am completely dependent on the honesty of the salesperson. I knew I needed hearing aids because I was tested at two other places and I knew their cost was not covered by my insurance. What really impressed me was Justin's service and congeniality. I felt he only cared about making me hear better - not the bottom line. What I loved about my experience there and sealed the deal were two things: First their 30 day trial period. No other company that I contacted offered that. There were no gimmicks and for whatever reason, if I decided not to purchase them, I could return them within 30 days and nothing would be charged to me. That was an amazing offer that was hard to refuse. But it was the second thing that rocked my world. I asked for the phone number of the company's owner because I wanted to talk with him. I had a question and wanted to hear directly from him. I was given the number and called on a Saturday afternoon, not really expecting to hear from anyone until sometime the following week if I was lucky. But surprisingly, within 15 minutes of my call, Mike Marino called me from his son's barbecue to answer my question. I was so impressed with the customer service, that when I hung up, I said to myself if after the 30 day period I'm happy with my hearing aids, there would be no hesitation to purchase them. And so I did. It has been 15 months since I've owned my hearing aids. Every three months, I go for the recommended service calls, and it's always a pleasant experience. On my last visit, I thought something was wrong with my hearing aids, but it turned out that I had wax built up in both ears. They recommended that I have my doctor clean my ears out and then come in again. I did that and all is good. You just can't ask for better care and service than that! The product is superior but most importantly, I know that Justin and his boss Mike "have my back". Simply said, Hearing Labs is a great place to do business. Chuck Tossman

When I had to look for a new audiologist a couple years ago, I had a recommendation to come here…read more Regina (the owner/audiologist) was incredibly friendly and helpful from the start. She had me fitted for a top-of-the-line hearing aid brand and met with me several times to ensure the hearing aids were working correctly. During the first few months, I was having problems with the hearing aids (they were a brand new product) and she patiently worked with me and the hearing aid company to ensure that I had the perfect hearing aids. When I had problems with the hearing aids again a year later, she worked well with me again to get them fixed. I am very thankful for all the hard work she has put into my experience (as well as the few battery samples she's shared with me) and will be staying with her as long as I can. (As for the troubling hearing aids? None of it was her fault -- it was all on the company. She did what she could.) I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking an audiologist. I also love that this is a private practice and the people working at the front desk always remember me!

I used to go to clubs without any protection. errr... EAR protection…read more I would go out, dance for a while - go home with a bit of the old ringing in the ears - but it would dissipate quickly and I thought nothing of it. My earplug-related religous conversion occurred in a club in Amsterdam. I danced for hours, and it was LOUD in that place. Went back to the hotel, ears were ringing -- in fact I really couldn't hear anything. But, I figured that this too would dissapate by the next morning. Morning, in this case, meant about 3 hours. Plus, I had to be working on a trade show floor. Well, 4 hours later - the ears were still ringing. I was effectively deaf. Same for 5 hours later, and 8 hours later... and 12 hours later. By this point, as you can imagine, I was pretty freaked out. Now, the next morning everything was back to normal in the hearing department - but I figured that I had used up pretty much all of my karmic ear damage for one lifetime in that evening. so - I went and got myself some earplugs. Now, just about all of the plain old foam type will work - but they usually have the effect of changing the sound of music. Usually they tend to cut out more bass than other frequencies. This makes going to concerts and clubs annoying -- its like having an equalizer in your head with all the boom turned off. But, etymotic makes earplugs that don't do this. The ER-20 earplugs trim the level of all frequencies at the same time -- so everything is equally quieter. http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er20.aspx They're $12 a pair, and come with a handy carrying case -- and they even come in different colors. The only thing I've found better than these are the +$100 earplugs that require a custom mold by an audiologist. Go buy a pair. Don't make me scold you the next time I see you in a club without protection.
