Recently I had gotten a really bad pixie with undercut haircut at Great Clips (see photos). It was so bad that I thought I would have to shave my whole head. I called Roberto and was able to get a same-day appointment. He did a phenomenal job fixing the mess. He's very gifted in texturizing hair and blending it in for a smooth flow. My hair immediately felt lighter and looked way better after his corrections (see photos). I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting an expert haircut. Go even if you haven't gone for a while or just going for the first time. He'll treat your hair right!

Honestly, this is one of the best haircuts I have had. My hair is difficult for most stylists because it is so very fine and has it's share of funky cowlicks; but, Mike discussed these issues as he worked through them. Instead of giving up on my hair as I've seen countless stylists do, he took his time making precision cuts to maximize volume out of my limp locks. Thank you Mike Nolting! It's so good to find a true professional out there!!! Highly recommend!!

My wife had an appointment with Taryn on March 18th and arrived on time. However, Taryn, according…read moreto him, forgot to book her although it was previously confirmed by him. He then booked her for March 20th. At approximately 2:19 in the morning (March 19) he texted my wife with the most unprofessional communication I've ever seen in my 57 year professional career as a global journalist. I don't know him but suspect mental fogginess as he claimed to have ADHD in the text. The text was filled with arrogance and narcissistic rage. Not only did he cancel her appointment he said that he never wanted to see her again. He said he needs to "part ways with you professionally indefinitely." This apparently came out of the previous session where we were nearly an hour late due to a medical appt. and after confirming with him that would be okay. He had left the salon even though we kept in touch by telephone. He could have rescheduled, but insisted it was okay and he came back. That was on him. He stated that "I totally felt used!" His 350 word unstable rant is unconscionable. Taryn may be talented, but this behavior is an ugly stain. Therefore, we would give your business a "O" star and recommend to our long list of friends and acquaintances that they stay away from Studio 31.

After scheduling an appointment for me on June 23rd and asking what I would like to have done-- I sent him photos and explained I don't necessarily need a full highlight, just some small ones and a trim, I also let him know price wasn't an issue. I woke up the next morning to an ESSAY on how our communication hasn't been hitting and he doesn't think I would be happy with anything he did. He then proceeded to accuse me of lying about when I reached out to him about the promotional deal saying he had "call logs" . So do I? I purchased the Groupon in January of 2025 and reached out to him in March. The deal didn't expire until July and was redeemable at any time. He didn't ever follow up with me. And when I reached out to him to schedule later, he didn't say a word about it. It wasn't until after I made the appointment and showed him a photo of a woman with light face framing and small highlights that he started bringing up all sorts of misconceptions from the past. He said he was keeping his text for legal reasons and told me that I was blocked from further communication. His text was also sprinkled with unprofessional emojis and just a horrible attitude overall. Telling me to "review away" and that his work speaks for itself. I was totally caught off guard by this, but as another person commented-- "narcissistic rage" was the perfect way to put it. Do not let such an unstable person touch your hair!

Because of the uncertainty covid brought, SRS closed its large headquarters and opted for smaller OTO (on their own) salons. Hellafresh is a hip, hard-edged space with several of owner David Gatt's electric paintings adorning the walls. Walking through the doors, even the nerdiest of us feel super cool. :: Waving Hello :: When David opened Hellafresh, he brought stylist Meredith B along to join forces. Once it felt safe to venture into public indoor spaces, I started going to Meredith. My former stylist had turned her creative talents away from hair and toward other worthy outlets. She recommended Meredith, and I'm glad she did. I enjoy Meredith's upbeat spirit and adeptness at cutting hair. She always makes you feel welcome. I highly recommend going to Hellafresh!
