The instructor for this kpop dance class, Emily, was amazing and fun to learn from! She spoke both Mandarin and English and was able to teach in either languages. The class was super fun and we had a great time. The only room for improvement was that I wished they had cubbies for storing our belongings. We had to put our jackets and purses on the floor. The 3 rooms were right next to each other, and we could hear music from other rooms during the class. But it was not a big deal to me as I was enjoying the class. Restrooms were shared with the building; no code needed. Parking was easy as the studio was in a plaza, and there was a parking lot. There were also restaurants in the same plaza that we could go to after the class.

She seemed like she was going to be shy, but when I saw her preform last year, she was beaming! Dancing here and with the amazing staff has really helped her with her confidence, among other things. She started when she was 5. She does Triple threat and Debuts and loves all of her teachers. I was very impressed with the Triple threat program last year and the Debut program and been a great warm up to competitions if she decide to audition. During shows, or rehearsals or competitions, the staff has been beyond helpful with letting the parents watch the shows, and taking care of the young girls backstage. They have answered all of my questions in such a timely manner, no matter how silly the subject manner is or if they had actually already told me the answer and I missed it. They have always been polite, friendly and professional. I can't express enough how grateful I am to this studio for helping my daughter start an active and healthy hobby as well as gain some confidence! Backstage has truly helped her find a love for dance! I would highly recommend this studio!

If I'm recalling this correctly, we…read morehad 4 private lessons, 4 group lessons, and an hour of a party that was like a freestyle, open group lesson. Rachel was our instructor for the private lessons and she was super friendly, very organized and communicated well with us in terms of what she was going to teach and how the whole groupon offer worked. I think if we had continued our lessons, she would have been a great dance teacher to work with. The groupon is alright if you want a super basic knowledge of a lot of different dances, but for more in depth training, you'd have to sign up for real lessons. We covered the introductory steps for a lot of different dance styles during our lessons. The lessons were slowly paced and it felt like we learned how to do the boxstep 10 different ways. Towards the end of the lessons covered by the groupon, the management sat us down a couple of times to try to get us to sign up for more lessons, which is understandable but made my boyfriend and I a bit uncomfortable with how forceful they were in trying to get us to sign up.

Wow, my abs have not been this sore in a while! I had heard about Knotty Yoga through the aerial…read moregrapevine and decided to give it a chance when one of Meetup groups planned a meetup here. I took the intro class that was specially priced at $19. For an hour and a half, it was an incredible deal that I could not pass up...and it was more than worth it! There were about 18+ people in the class and we started with a warm up on the silks. Afterwards, we watched Mason and 2 other instructors demo on the rope, silks, and lyra respectively. We then learned a few things on the silks and did a quick stretch of the upper body. The verdict? The warmup is NOT a beginner warmup. There's lots of balancing of the upper body on the arms or forearms while the legs are held up by the silk apparatus. As the body is balancing, it is moving forwards, backwards, and twisting side to side. For me, the warmup was great and challenging, but I could see it being difficult for a beginner. Vivian was the instructor on the silks. I found her explanations and demonstrations thorough as I had previously learned one of the tricks at another studio but had not understood it fully until Vivian explained it another way. We were learning how to climb the silks and even though there was heavy emphasis on the use of the legs, I didn't hear any guidance about relieving any tightness in the forearms or the hands during the instruction. And in the cool down/stretching, there was no focus on these parts of the body at all. For the cool down, we paired up and all we did was twist the upper body while pulling on each others arms. Time was up but I wished that there would have been more time for more thorough stretching. Now I realize that there were a lot of people in the class and it was an intro class so I am probably calling out personal particulars, but I was really impressed with the overall vibe of the studio. I like their whole hybrid exercise modality idea. The instruction was awesome. The studio is a great space and I am especially looking forward to taking future classes in trapeze and lyra. Lastly, I find the pricing options a great value.
