Skip the bait-and-switch ads: Guillermo is the real deal…read more If your garage door currently sounds like a shrieking horror movie soundtrack, call Guillermo ("G"). Before finding him, I almost fell for one of those cheap $50 social media ads where a tech shows up only to fabricate $300 to $500 in bogus repairs. Guillermo is the absolute opposite of that nonsense: transparent, fair, and hyper-local. Why he has my business for life: * Honest Options, Zero Pressure: Instead of forcing one expensive route, he laid out budget versus premium hardware, clearly breaking down the pros and cons of each so I could choose what made sense for my setup. * Mastery Over Billable Hours: He tuned up the entire system, replaced the worn rollers, and balanced everything in under 30 minutes. Don't confuse speed with rushed work: an amateur takes three hours to do what a master with nearly two decades of experience knocks out flawlessly in 20 minutes. You are paying for true craftsmanship. * Bilingual & Reliable: El señor Guillermo es 100% bilingüe, sumamente honesto, profesional y está disponible 24/7 para cualquier emergencia. * Wide Service Area: He covers Carrollton, Lewisville, The Colony, Addison, Frisco, and the surrounding areas. My door went from wake-up-the-entire-neighborhood loud to whisper-quiet (or at least as quiet as a standard store-bought AC unit allows). Whenever I am ready to upgrade to a DC motor, Guillermo is the only person touching my garage. 10/10 recommended.

Jacob called me over to confirm the parts cost and provided the estimate before replacement. My springs are on the expensive half of the spectrum, it is what it is. I opted in to the bracket replacement as well. Previous bracket did not have bearings and I did not ever lubricate it, which likely contributed to the spring snapping - though the spring was visibly old, couldn't say when it was installed. We could not get it closed, so it was an emergency that we have someone out that day. They scheduled an appointment between 1 and 3. The technician called around 12:30 and said he would be there in about 45 minutes. This is where anything positive using Wylie Garage Door Service ended. The technician arrived and quoted us $340 to fix the door. After an hour and 1/2 of my husband helping the technician, using our tools and our jack to hold the door to prevent it from falling. They finally got the door closed. The technician told us over and over that it could not be fixed, that the door was too heavy for the track, that the installation was incorrect, etc. He recommended we contact our builder for a warranty claim. He apologized for not having the parts to fix the door and promised to come back the following week to fix it, but that would be another service call. He said he would have to get all new hardware, tracks, pulley system everything for the door in order to fix it. Monday morning we called Plano Overhead Garage Door.
