I was recently having an issue with my garage door that kept it from closing properly. I shopped around to try and find someone that could come out within my time frame and that wouldn't break the bank. The majority of companies wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to just come out to the house without even diagnosing the problem. I was referred to Adams Superior Garage Doors from a coworker who recently had the same type of issues I was having. I called and spoke to Josh and right off the bat he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He offered to come out and diagnose the issue for free and was willing to work around my schedule. The excellent service continued when he was on site and looking into my issue. He quickly determined the issue and was able to fix it at extremely competitive rate that was well below the competition. In most cases you get a salesman that wants to up sell you to increase their profits with parts and accessories that you honestly don't need. This was never the case with Josh, he showed me the issue and he pointed out some potential problems I could face down the road. One of which was new wheels as he explained how my old plastic wheels were causing a lot of drag and stress on my motor that eventually would cause a major issue. I was so pleased with his care and consideration I didn't hesitate to have them replaced on the spot. After fixing the initial issue and changing out my wheels he also did a full lube and tune service for preventative maintenance. All the work was done promptly and at a price that was less than the competition wanted to charge me to just come out to the house. After Neighborhood Garage Door Services (GDS) did not show up again, my cousin recommended her garage door guy, Josh, with Adams Superior Garage Doors. She said he was "fair and on time". It was 742pm when I called Josh. Not only did he answer, he came right out. (They offer 24/7 service.) Turned out that we only needed a minor repair. He had the part on his truck and they put it on right away. (GDS had said they had to order the part, a simple hinge) He showed me why the hinge keeps breaking and made some other recommendations, but told me none are pressing and gave me an idea of how much time we can probably get out of the different parts before we had replace. I appreciated him not pressuring us to do immediate repairs. They did a complementary inspection and lubrication. After all this, he didn't even charge me! He only asked that we call him for our next repair and we will definitely be doing that! Josh is now our garage door man! These guys are amazing. I thought I was going to have to pay a fortune to have my garage door replaced. However, Josh came up with a solution to repair my current door so that I wouldn't have to spend a lot of money to replace it. A few months later, I started experiencing some minor issues with the door. I called him and asked if he can come take a look at it. He came the very next day and fixed another repair (the 2nd repair was unrelated to the first repair). I would definitely hire him again and would recommend him to my neighbors as well. I've hired a lot of home contractors in the past and in my experience, once you pay someone for their work, you'll never hear from them again no matter how many tiles you call them back. The guys at Adams Superior Garage Doors are very helpful, and really want the customer to be satisfied. The other day I was opening my garage and the next thing I knew I heard a loud noise and my garage would not open. I had no idea what to do and I heard it can be very dangerous to try and fix a garage door yourself. I wouldn't try anyways but in case you read this, don't try to fix it yourself. Anyways, I called these guys up and they sent someone right over. They had the issue sorted out within a day, and although I had to call a friend for a ride to work, I was able to get into my home through the garage. I have to be honest, it cost a lot less than I was expecting based on how loud of a noise the machine had made. I have had the pleasure of working with Adam's Superior Garage Doors on two occasions; the first to repair my garage door and the second to install a replacement garage door opener motor. Josh always arrives on time and is very personable and professional. I felt compelled to write this review on account of my recent experience: I purchased a Chamberlain B970 from Home Depot but what was packaged in the box was an older model. I did not catch it until it was fully mounted, installed and operational. The discovery came during the MyQ setup process (when the unit was confirmed not to have the feature).
