Dr. Saunders and the Essential Endodontics crew made the pain go away in less than 2 hours . I also received a call the next day to make sure I was okay . If your dentist sends you here don't be scared, the worst part is when when they numb the area as they are going to work on , you will feel close to nothing during the procedure. And the doctor who was completely concerned about my comfort, and was very professional. I was expecting the worst but this was the least painful dental experience I ever had. There was no pain after I left which really surprised me. He took my trepidation about having my jaw opened for 40 min or so and somehow was able to do the work without me having to painfully open my jaw. If I ever need another root canal there's no one else I would go to.

Dr Allen was simply outstanding. From explaining the process, to testing the viability of my teeth to numbing my mouth to executing the procedure, his calming personality and unequivocal professionalism made what we all think is going to be an utterly miserable time, suprisingly pleasant and interesting. One of them even gave me a small bottle of water. The issue is that the doctor no showed the appointment. My appointment was at 1430 and I was there a few min early. I was sitting in the waiting room for a good half hour before I was called up to fill out paperwork and then I was lead back to the waiting room. I gave the doc till 1605 and then I bailed. I told various staff members that I was leaving and all were very apologetic and understanding. Oddly, none of them seemed in the least bit surprised which leads me to believe this is far from the first time this happened. Doctors seem to think their time is very valuable and that our time is not. I wonder if I can charge him a no show fee?

We were told he had an abscess tooth. But Dr. Shroyer said it was at cavity stage. Then he said to me, if that was my father, and being 95, he would NOT have this tooth pulled. It didn't bother my father, pain wise. So of course he left it up to us. But I thought it would be crazy to put him through that if he didn't have too. So to make a long story longer. We made an appointment, took his time, only to leave with only Xray's is a testament to this guy's moral standards. I would expect most would go ahead and pull it, bill him, and send him on his way. But not him. So.... not that you want to line up to have oral surgery. But if I did I would certainly trust Dr. Shroyer to do the work. Need more honest doctor's like him out there. So we left and the first thing Dad said was, I'm changing Dentists. Hahaha.... If we need to Dad, we can.
