The cleaning service itself is fair to good, and when the team is able to complete the job, the quality generally meets expectations. However, communication is a major issue. There have been multiple instances where employees in orientation were brought into my home without any prior notice or approval, which is concerning as a homeowner. They change your routine maid with notifying you and act as you are a problem when you ask why there was no communication on thier part prior to an unknown maid arriving at your home In addition, last-minute cancellations happen frequently on their end. Despite this, they still enforce strict cancellation policies for customers. After years of loyalty, being charged for a single emergency cancellation felt unfair and disappointing. Overall, the cleaning quality is decent, but the lack of communication and inconsistent scheduling policies make it difficult to fully recommend this service. read more

I called and spoke with Cheri, the owner. In under a minute, I had a quote for semi-monthly cleaning. I was on the schedule for the next week, and boy was I impressed with the person they sent out. There were no overpowering smells, and the cleaner was very courteous, which was great since we're both working from home right now. The house sparkled like the day we moved in! read more

As a new client of Accent Maid Services I was thrilled to hear of a local company that had been in business for 20 plus years. The owner, Sherry spoke of the consistency of her "girls" many of which had worked for her for a long time. Sherry spoke of the top to bottom thorough cleaning that was routine and that the girls worked in pairs. After three attempts, it is quite clear that the owner, Sherry makes empty promises. Her girls as she calls them are anything but consistent. The first day that they were scheduled to clean, they were 2.5 hours late. The second time Sherry called to say no one could get their car started and another occasion the "girls" were sick. She says she's been in business a long time. I'm not sure how because the service is NOT what she sells it to be. Beware. She is in sales and talks a great sales pitch but does not produce. She promised simple things like baseboards were cleaned as a standard part of house cleaning. It was NEVER done. She stated that if I left a hardwood floor polish; the floors would be polished. The hard wood floors were left dull and clearly not even cleaned let alone polished. The mirrors were streaky and the shower door was cleaned but only 2/3 of the way up. This is basic stuff done carelessly. I'm not sure if Sherry really knows how her employees perform because she is in the office answering the phone. BEWARE of Accent Maid Service. They will take your money but do little service. Not at all what the owner describes. I would delete my previous review if I could. I hired Accent Maids to come out and clean a filthy apartment I was getting ready to move into. They worked very well with my schedule and for that, I was please. However, there was a misunderstanding because it was much dirtier than they expected - so in return, it was not cleaned as I had expected. There was miscommunications on both ends and I was very unhappy at first, but they ended up giving me a full refund and made it right. Posting this tip because I was shocked at the treatment I received. I posted on Accent's site that I was interested in their services roughly 2 weeks ago. I got a response the next day by the very responsible-sounding, organized-seeming "Cheri" who manages Accent's "girls". She and I spoke about the full cleaning of a 900sq ft apartment which included 1 combo bath, a tiled kitchen and bathroom, and hardwood flooring throughout. I had asked after dish services and she said initially "yes, we would be happy to take care of that, too." I informed her that I have 2 cats and their boxes, if possible, would need scooping probably. All of this information went over smoothly and all seemed wonderful for my impending cleaning visit. The day arrived. I arranged my schedule such that I could personally meet who would be cleaning and give her a tour. They were scheduled to arrive at 9am. 10am arrived and I finally heard a knock on the door. I greeted "Joy" and cordially invited her to come in. She met the kitties. She had a full look around and I explained what all was needed and re-hashed what I'd ordered with Cheri over the phone. I admit I'd been talking a mile a minute, so after all of that I asked if she had any questions. She replied in very broken English,"Car....phone?" and ran out to her vehicle. I figured she'd forgotten something, so I waited patiently for her return. She came back about 10mins latern explaining haltingly "No clean. Call Cheri" - or at least that's all I could make out. She gathered her supplies and left without a word. I immediately called Cheri and asked after what had happened - I thought the poor girl had a personal emergency or something. Cheri informed me that she'd look into it at once. I waited. Finally I received a call back from Cheri explaining that this "Joy" had allegedly "nearly fainted" for the smell of my cat's boxes and could tell there were animals even before entering. She also claimed there was so much mold and filth that she didn't feel "safe" in my abode. Furthermore, she had apparently told a coworker "not enough money" for cleaning my apartment. I was floored. I could hardly believe it. I had never heard such an outlandish claim in my life. I was so offended I wept. I've never experienced anything remotely like this and would highly recommend that you avoid Accent Maids in Indy. I am a busy, young wife who just needed a bit of help with my home on my one day off a week. Instead, I got the most rude interaction and dismissal of my little home that I've ever known. read more

We were recommended this company from the previous homeowners. After using them once for a "move in clean" we didn't get back on the normal schedule - because of such, we were charged an additional $20. That's not the reason we won't ever use them again - when they did finally come out, they didn't clean the floors and other areas like they said they would. When we brought it Cheri's attention we weren't treated as we thought we should have been....needless to say, we are in the market for a quality house cleaning service. read more

I have been a customer for over 20 years and have been very satisfied. They are always prompt and go about their cleaning efficiently. There were some rough times in the early years but have been straightened out. Cheri is very good to reschedule if the need arises. It is nice to be able to leave home and come home to a very clean house. read more

Very disappointed both times they were at my house. The first time, she didn't dust any pictures hanging on the walls, or anywhere else. When Sherry, the boss, called me to ask how I liked everything, I mentioned the pictures not being dusted. She assured me it was just a mistake, so I foolishly believed her and booked my next session. The second time they came out, every single picture frame in my house was turned sideways. And, best of all, still not dusted. I was disgusted with such childish behavior. In addition to the prank, my Christmas garland draped across my mantle was cut up. She destroyed my personal property! These people will never be allowed back in my home! read more

VERY DISPLEASED. I hired Accent Maid Services to do a move in/out clean. I described to them the state of the apartment and they said it would be no problem. They sold it very well and I was pleased with how they worked around my schedule and what all they *promised* to do. A little pricey, but I figured it would be worth it to move into a clean apartment. Boy, was I wrong about it being worth it and also wrong about it being clean. It doesn't look like they even attempted to clean the apartment. It looks like someone tried mopping but just wiped the dirt around with some water and left it. I cleaned one spot on the floor myself today and the paper towel came back up BLACK. That's how bad of a job they did. The toilet was cleaned and looks nice, but that's about the ONLY thing I'm satisfied with in the entire apartment. Everything else is still absolutely filthy. It doesn't even look like they tried to do ANYTHING ELSE. I am outraged. If the job was too big for them, they should have called me and let me know before taking my $280. This was a waste of my money that they need to refund. Total scam. Do NOT hire this company. read more
