I want to like this place but it honestly gives more overhyped DC energy than a quality Baltimore…read morecocktail bar. The drinks are fine, the food is mediocre. But my issues is the staff. It can be completely hit or miss depending on who your bartender is. And last night I witness a truly disrespectful interaction between my friend who is a WOC and one of the bartenders. I understand having a limited drink menu, but each time my friend asked for a recommendation she was responded to as if she had just spit in that woman's face. The final straw was when my friend said, "I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with most of these drinks. What do you have that is sweet?" asking for a recommendation. The bartender looked at her and said "sugar" then rolled her eyes so hard I'm surprised they didn't get stuck in the back of her head. I understand being over your job, but my friend did nothing wrong. Was not rude, and in return got spoken to like a child. I don't know what the chip on this person's shoulder was, but if you absolutely HAVE to to be vile to everyone you speak to, try a back of the house position because you are actively damaging your bar's reputation.

There was a preset menu for cocktails, mocktails, wines, and beer. Some of the mocktails were sweeter than my liking, but it was fine. The staff were awesome. The bartender was solo up until it turned into a cash bar -- she was working really hard! The music was at a great volume, and food was being passed around regularly. It's really a great space for having a private party. And on top of that, while it can fill up quickly, there's free street parking outside. I do wish the bathroom was lockable -- the stall within there is, but otherwise things could get awkward. Pro tip -- it's behind the stage.

First, call ahead (there is no online system so you do actually have to call) to make sure they are giving tours and at what times (only certain days of the week, last tour usually starts at 1 PM). This mansion is another relic from the gilded age, however this one isn't completely stuck in the past and is a living, breathing arts venue. The last residents (she died in 1956 I think) had no children and left it to Johns Hopkins University with the specification it be used as an art museum. And there is a lot of interesting and attractive art, though it's mostly art by European white men. That's just what the owners collected . . . but our docent told us they are trying to diversify the collection by purchasing pieces by artists of color. The libraries are actually part of the Johns Hopkins collection and students can make appointments to come read them or use them for research. There are some nature books and some Audubon books that are so large that they require two people to move and turn the pages. There is also a reading room for students. It was previously their bedroom, which they didn't want displayed. There are some fun little quirky rich people things (if you dissociate from today's capitalistic hell). A 23K gold bathroom. The second wife who lived in the residence was obsessed with herself and had multiple paintings and busts of herself around the home. And her bathtub was surrounded by mirrors, including a mirror on the ceiling. A bowling alley that was turned into a display space for all their expensive artificacts. A lot of Tiffany glass. Antiquities. My admission was 10 dollars with a AAA discount. I think regular admission is 12 dollars.

Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and explained a lot about each room and answered all of our questions. There are a lot of beautiful and unique objects, even though unfortunately photograph isn't allowed in the good rooms. The sheer amount of books they owned and how they present them is pretty inspiring. The Garrett's having their own performance/stage area is pretty unique, and you can even rent the space out if desired. At the end, there's a great display of their Asian art collection, and then suddenly you are back in the gift shop where you started, which has some good items. The tour was more than an hour, but it was really interesting, and all the employees were excited to answer questions, so you could see their passion. It's a great tour and worth doing if in Baltimore.

It's a Barcade, and again, if you're a Baltimore Orioles fan, this is definitely a destination to check out. It's very inclusive, and if you're part of the LGBTQ community or a person of color, it feels like a safe space. It's a great venue with a wide open area, and when they're hosting special events, I definitely recommend going. Overall, it's a great spot. Customer service was great and again if you are a fan, there's always someone in there that could talk sports or video games with you.

They are truly a third space for the community. They also have a resident cat who roams around and lots of artwork of him. They have 2 huge rooms with pinball and arcade games which you can pay to play. Outside, there is the Peabody Concession Stand, which is a food truck offering Korean-Fusion eats. Chef Anthony is great and the food is always delish! Peabody always has house-brewed beers on tap, my favorite is the Astrodon, which is a nice hazy IPA. BEWARE if you park in their lot though, there are no signs, but they close the gate after the brewery closes! I carpooled with my friend to another bar close by after Peabody Heights closed, and when I came back to get my car, the barbed-wire gate was closing it in. I had to come all the way back the next day to pick it up. Besides this one-off incident, I've always had great experiences here. Between good service, cheap beers, fresh food, constant events, and two whole arcade rooms, you never get bored at this brewery!

Very disappointed in my experience here. The two stars are the pluses. One is for the shower it…read morewas really nice and the other star is for the bed which was a very comfortable mattress. Unfortunately it is not positioned for you to easily get to. We were bumping & hitting our shins stepping in & out of the bed. You literally have to climb over to get there. There is also no closet space the few hangers on the wall is it. Very small fridge that is stocked full of their products. If you are wanting to store your own items there is not much space for it. If you have a disability or health concern, be aware that there are steep steps to get into the building. Someone notified that there was a lift in back, but unfortunately to get to the lift you have to walk through several steep steps in the back patio , which didn't make it any easier access. Upon arrival we were given a notice of when our room would be attended to & cleaned, we made sure to be out during the day & time given only to return & the room had not been cleaned. The final & last straw came when a woman came to our room & told us for everyone else's comfort they were going to turn the air on since as I understood it one cooling & heating for everyone you cannot control the temperature of your room. Because of her turning the air on my husband got very sick , shivering & extremely uncomfortable & very physically ill. It was obvious our health, care , comfort & safety was not a priority. We actually left before our reservation was done & found better , safer accommodations. Maximum expense at minimum comfort, was our expierence here. It seemed to want to be a spa more than a guest accommodation & unfortunately didn't do either very well. You cost us valuable time with our family & loved ones . I'm sorry because I can see that this took time & effort to create, just don't sacrifice guests health & safety . Good neighbor wasn't a good neighbor to us. If you value your health, comfort & safety consider making accommodations elsewhere.

The space is more beautiful than all the beautiful pictures you have seen of it and it smells like heaven in Earth. The soundtrack they played was a perfect chill vibe. The local wines were special and earthy. But even more importantly, Mary and the special events team were so responsive and easy to work with. They made the event seamless. For our elopement reception cocktail party, we wanted to give our guests a taste of Baltimore's charm--and we knew from the start that Woodberry was the perfect place to do it. The event space alone is gorgeous, with the quintessential exposed brick and bistro lighting, making decor easy to simply add to the vibes. Jolanta also was so helpful in encouraging us to hire a photographer and music for our event that were both affordable and really added to the party. Our guests raved about the food, and we loved having local Baltimore craft beers as well as 2 custom cocktails to make our event really feel special to us. We cannot stop thinking about how amazing our event went--we will cherish these memories forever! Thank you Woodberry for giving us the night of a lifetime!

I knew I had nothing to worry about because they would take care of all the small things and execute the vision for a beautiful wedding day! The food was incredible and the atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for. Woodberry is breathtaking and needs very little decoration, and my guests had nothing but good things to say. My personal favorites from the evening was the charm city heat wave cocktail, the ribeye with bernaise sauce and the desserts. The entire day was immaculate, but what really made it special is the event staff were all so kind and excited for us and complementing the space and the florals, and we got the impression that they really wanted to be there and cared about our celebration. all I have to say is thank you, thank you!
