What I can attest to is that Prince does an exceptional job at instructing his students, to a degree that you will learn how to study concepts yourself at a much deeper level. My greatest takeaway from CFI Academy was learning the why behind all the private/commercial pilot concepts, rather than just teaching what you were taught/the way you were taught. On the financial side, Prince and Fadi have been more than fair and accommodating due to my unique situation (the school was in the process of obtaining its examining authority and I was switching from Part 61 to 141 in the middle of my training, I had to pause training for a few weeks, etc.). In my assessment from getting to know them over the last few months, they are just running a business, and I think if you come to them with an attitude that's hard to work with, you're less likely to get financial accommodations or even come out the other side with your CFI certificate in your timeframe. If you come with a humble and teachable attitude (which I would argue is key to being a CFI to begin with), give yourself time, and come prepared, you'll be just as successful here as anywhere else. I see no reason why Prince or anyone else here should stop you from your aspiration of being a CFI. I find it odd that some people think he does, when he runs a business to do just the opposite. He's been nothing but supportive of me and even takes the time on his breaks to offer words of encouragement/advice. And I think brutal honesty, one of his trademarks, is important to be confronted with in an industry like aviation. If all training went the way YOU wanted and came easy to you, I think you're less prepared as a pilot for the unique challenges that will arise when training students and when working in a multi-crew cockpit. While I have never questioned the airworthiness of the aircraft I used, maintenance had trouble keeping the planes in the sky consistently. I point this out not as a safety issue but as more of a logistical issue, because I know the school takes maintenance and airworthiness seriously. It was frustrating at times having to cancel flights due to maintenance issues, but I doubt this will be a problem for future students (at the time they were solving a large scale issue with one of their other planes, so they were short a plane already when I got there). I also saw those experiences as more real-world training for catching issues in preflight and in understanding maintenance practices (which are both highly relevant to CFIs anyway). The key is being teachable, as I said before. As for the validity of the website's claims, I think for me one month for CFI and CFII is very optimistic. But if I look at the school as just any other school, with no timeline or guaranteed finish date, I learned more from my experiences, good and bad, than I would have at any other school, and the key really comes down to your dedication and attitude. Prince does a great job teaching, his CFIs are communicative and qualified, and the planes will run when maintenance clears them. Use the bad experiences as learning opportunities, not inconveniences that someone should take the blame for, and you'll find that you can work with almost anybody to find the best solution. I found the best solution at CFI Academy.

Super fun! I bought…read moremy son a flight for his 14th birthday. He had never even been in a plane before, let alone flew one. Needless to say he was a bit apprehensive about his flight. When we arrived at the Airport we were greeted by our pilot and instructor Jim. He was very friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable which made my son feel at ease. After a through lesson and overview of the Cesna 187 it was time for my son take the pilots seat. I was happy to tag along. My son read the pre flight checklist from the POA and off we went. Once the plane was at altitude my son had his chance to fly. He was encouraged to bank left and right and shown how to keep the nose leval. It was very exciting to see my son flying the plane. Sadly after about 20 min it was time to land. Jim landed us safely and beautifully. It was a great experience! I don't know who liked it more me or my son? I encourage anyone who has ever wanted to fly a plane to give it a try. In addition it is a very unique and fun gift to give.Years from now my son won't remember what toys or games I buy him. December 16, 2017…read more JetEXE Aviation hosted a Christmas party. Invites were sent out, and I RSVP, as soon as I received my invite. The function was held in the hangar. All planes were relocated outside for this event, except for 2 planes. These 2 planes were the back drop, of this function. Welcome, Introductions 630 - 700 pm Drinks & Hors d'oeuvres 630 - 730 pm Buffet - style dinner 730 - 900 pm Door prizes and Silent auction 900 - 930 pm Live band "Golden Caddilacs" 730 - 1030 pm Fund raiser for Charitable 501C3 Snehacare for abandoned children with HIV Http://snehacarehome.org Everything was set up accordingly. They had 3 bartenders, making sure everyone drinks were topped off. LOL The band was playing good music, which had a lot of people on the dance floor, including me and van. The buffet style meal was plentiful and delicious. The line for this meal seemed to flow without hiccups. It seemed Venus was in charge of this department. (she works front desk) Job well done I saw Chris (operations manager) running around and making sure things were in place, like extension cords, to make this event happen.. The silent auctions consist of paintings, trip to Mexico, etc... They also had candles for sale. Not sure up this point how this turned out. Augustine, the owner, greeted everyone, making it such a warm welcoming environment. It was nice to see people involved in aviation and being able to meet them first hand. Can't wait till next party hosted by Augustine !!

O88 is a quaint airfield with good gas prices yet very close to the Bay Area for your awesome bay tours. I called around to quite a few schools and most were booked out a month or two, which actually worked out because I still needed to finish my instrument rating. Unfortunately, after my instructor left, things kind of stalled out. I wasn't making any progress, so I called Flyers Academy and explained my situation--that I needed to get my instrument completed and wanted to move right into my multi. Omar, the owner, called me a few hours later saying we can get it done now. They were able to squeeze me in, get my instrument wrapped up, schedule a checkride, then roll right into my multi and another checkride. It was a lot of work and definitely an intense 10 days, but the entire crew was incredible. From the moment I arrived, Omar made sure I was taken care of. The operation is extremely well organized, the airplanes were clean and well maintained, and everything worked exactly as it should. The instructors genuinely care about your success and put in long days to make sure you're prepared. Most days started around 7 or 8 in the morning and went until 10 at night. I'd like to thank everyone who helped me along the way--Sam, Sunny, Mike, Dom, and especially Vivian. Vivian was an outstanding instructor and went above and beyond every day to make sure I understood everything and was fully prepared. I honestly can't say enough good things about her. Quite frankly, my visit to the Sacramento Works center in Galt was quite beyond poor. To be exact,…read moreit was a waste of time for me. The condescending way my girlfriend and I were spoken to by the young man at the front desk has left a bad taste with my experience there. He spoke to and treated us like we were five years old. I have been out of work for over 18 months and my girlfriend more recently at two weeks. It was our first time there and we wanted to take the proper steps. We were directed to a computer (by the same young man) and told to sign some paperwork. We were told to treat it like a "library", yet no one else in the the place felt the need to do so. Once we registered and began our job search, I began to feel like this was a complete waste of my time again. I was not able to narrow down a job search by location. It's nice to see job postings all over the state, but I do not want to take a job in Southern California. Along with that, many of the jobs "posted" on the search were jobs that could be found on other online job search engine and Craigslist. I even found two postings from Craigslist. One of them was over month old and the other was an obvious scam posting. I felt like I could have done this type of search from home. I had the impression that this office was very disorganized at the least and unhelpful at the most. Only one star because I have to rate it somehow.
